Warranty Phase : I will be fair, any installation can have an issue, it's how the company addresses it. Also some cheaper roofing company wont have warranty or they will offer a shorter duration. Just make sure you check your attic during storms. We are all human and we can make mistakes. 4 months after installation, my roof is leaking. Its located in the same spot where it was fixed so a coincidence. A bad nail can do it and it was a light drip leak . I was only able to catch it because I placed 1 security camera on the ground outside for rodents and noticed a wall leak. I reached out on December 18 right before the holidays and got it fixed/patched up on Jan 15. I want to add Martin, the roofer, is an awesome worker. He came to the job engaged and with a positive attitude. Extremely knowledgable and went right to work. No messing around. He embodies what I envision North Creek Roofing company to be. Hard working roofer that just want to get it fix the right way. He seemed to really care about the issue and worked his tail off alone with no help. So a huge shout out to him if he ever reads this. I DO NOT KNOW WHERE ALL OF THE GOOD REVEIWS ARE COMING FROM? The man that came to our residence was very rude! All he needed to do was give us a quote to tape the curb on a skylight. They wanted all of the money up front and when the man left he stated: "it will probably still leak and the dirt and needles will still come inside", and charged us 350.00 to accomplish nothing. Called and asked if they would inspect my metal roof and they said they could. The office person asked for more personal information than was necessary and noted that my wife should be present when discussing the results of the inspection. I indicated that would not be necessary and that we could schedule the inspection. The day before the scheduled event their office calls and wanted more information for the estimate they were going to provide. I noted that I had not called for an estimate, merely an inspection. We could discuss estimates based on the inspection results, if necessary. I was subsequently informed that they did not do inspections, only estimates. This is very much at odds with the information on their website that clearly notes they do inspections. At this point I declined their services. The whole experience seemed like an information gathering exercise to assist a hard sales pitch. The whole thing felt very sketchy and left a strong impression that they were less interested in the customer's needs than they were in merely selling a job. Not recommended. read more

If you are looking for a Roofing Contractor who takes accountability for their mistakes and treats you with respect do not go with North Creek Roofing. When North Creek Roofing installed a new roof on my Edmonds home back in 2014, they failed to seal a ridge line. This mistake caused a leak and damage to my upstairs ceiling back in December 2020. After going back and forth with them, they agreed to repair the ceiling. In April 2021 they sent a sheetrock guy to start the work but when it was not an easy fix they backpedaled and now May 2021 they are claiming they are not responsible and will not fix the damages. Please read my detailed review of my horrible experience, I am writing this so other's do not have to go through what I have gone through. On December 21, 2020 there was a horrible leak in my upstairs bedroom. I called Chris Aaenson and two days later he came to my home to inspect. He was on my roof for 5 minutes, at the most, and told me the leak "isn't their fault" the torch down roof is failing (North Creek Roofing does not do torch down roofing.) Chris instructed me to contact a roofing company that does torch down. This was during the holidays and the soonest I could get someone out was January 4, 2021. Saul from Roofmex spent 90 minutes trying to find how water was coming in. He spent a long time on the roof and in the attic and was able to find the entry point. He told me North Creek Roofing failed to seal the ridge line and water was coming through a nail hole under a shingle. Saul told me he could seal the roof line but it would void my warranty. He also told me the torch down roof is good for another 8 years. I let Chris know and sent photos. He was dismissive and argumentative with me over the phone. He disagreed with Roofmex's assessment and wanted their contact info. Despite that he sent over a couple of guys from his crew on January 6th to seal the ridge line (and after that, water stopped leaking through my ceiling.) It was around this time I noticed 3 sections of the ceiling were bulging. It did not look like this prior to the leak. On January 29th they sent their sheetrock repair person to repair the section where it leaked but he told me he would not be able to repair the areas that were drooping. It was around this time I was told by North Creek: *the ceiling defect was always there, I just didn't notice it (that room has been my bedroom for 12 years, I would have noticed) *the contractor who installed the sheet rock in 2004 did a bad job, that is why it looks like that *I'm trying to get a new ceiling out of North Creek Roofing In March I had a sheetrock company that did not work for North Creek Roofing come to look at the damage. Chris was present when Don assessed the damage. Don said it was possible, due to the slope of the roof, that the water leak caused the damage to the ceiling. After going back and forth, they finally agreed to do the repairs and sent their sheetrock guy back on April 12th. Chris accompanied him and apologized for the delays and told me they were going to fix it the damages. Their repair person patched the leak area and began to sand the 3 bulging sections down but in order to make the ceiling flat he would have to take too much of the drywall off. From April 12th to May 14th I was unable to get an answer from Chris. On May 14th I received a phone call from Josh Cameron, North Creek's Sales Manager. Josh told me they are not responsible for the damages, they will not repair the damages and there is no way the water leak could have caused the damages. He implied I was trying to get a "free ceiling" out of North Creek Roofing. He even had the audacity to lie to me and tell me that Don said there was no way the water leak could've caused the bulging damage. I was shaken by the conversation. This has been going on since January. I have been patient and given them every opportunity to do the right thing and fix the damage their mistake caused. All I want is for my ceiling to look the way it did prior to the leak. I didn't want to go down this path but I've written a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and now I have written this Yelp review. I will have it repaired and take them to small claims court. I am very confident a Judge will return a verdict in favor of me, especially since they started to repair the damage. My hopes in writing this is that someone does not have to go through what I went through. Back in 2014 when I was interviewing Roofing Contractors, they were quick to call me back if I had any questions, but beware if you have any issues weeks will go by before you hear from them. read more

Remembered North Creek Roofing when I needed someone to investigate a water spot in our ceiling. They originally came out years ago to take a look free of charge and determined it wasn't our roof that was leaking. Took the time to hose down the roof and use some monitoring device to see if could detect any dampness and didn't find any. Haven't had any additional issues with the water spot, so the fact that they did this free of charge and didn't try to make a project out of nothing shows their trustworthiness. Fast forward to this year, had a small project of installing a couple safety roof anchors, and decided to contact North Creek Roofing again due to the great experience I had with them. Response times and communication were awesome, from the proposal/quote through the scheduling and day of work were amazing. We have a beautiful new roof thanks to North Creek Roofing! Michael Leary came out in May to evaluate the condition of our roof. We had already determined our current roof was failing after inspecting the attic and seeing active leaks and wet plywood decking. Our HOA required a specific brand of shingle and color, CertainTeed Northgate in Max Def Heather Blend. North Creek had that ready to go and recommended upgrading to Mountain Ridge high profile hip and ridge caps, the CertainTeed external baffled ridge venting system, and additional under eave intake vents to provide a superior roofing system that would comply with CertainTeed's warranty upgrade. In July, Jacinto Arellano and his amazing team worked efficiently and professionally to replace our roof in just two-and-a-half days! They replaced a few rotted plywood decking sections and installed two metal RVO box vents on one of the lower roof sections which needed additional venting. Exceptional company, great team. My story begins during a Thanksgiving storm, when water came leaking out of a light fixture, right above the stovetop. Impeccable timing. Called up North Creek, and asked them for a bid. Found out my 1998 roof not only was not rated correctly for the winds in our area, but many of the vent pipes were improperly installed (which is what caused my leak). Also, my other home had a roof I knew needed replacing. Was able to get a package deal, for both roofing jobs. (it was winter). Very reasonable rate, given the short time frame, size of crew, and type of roofing we chose. Estimate was clean, easy to read, and email/phone communication was great. Their "in-office" team is super customer oriented. Took time to explain process, and get me in touch with the right folks to answer my questions. Dumpster delivered, with proper padding/protection underneath it to protect my driveway. Tear off was done efficiently, and with minimal mess. New underlying plywood installed where it was needed. New tie-offs, roofing vents installed. Super happy we went with the nicer quality/ better warrantied material - it makes both homes look great! North Creek Roofing replaced our roof. They did a great job from the first point of contact all the way to the finish of the job. Their communication was timely, courteous and thorough. The first day the work was to begin their was too much rain. They communicated the one day delay as soon as they knew they wouldn't be able to start that day. The next day they started at 8am and worked until close to dusk. They made the most of every day working quickly and efficiently. At the end of every day they did a great job cleaning up all the debris, nails, staples,etc. The supervisor kept us up to date on the number of sheets of plywood that were having to be replaced with some pictures to show the necessity of the replacement. We also had our gutters replaced. After everything was done we noticed on a rainy day that there was dripping from some of the seams of the gutters. We called and the next day they came out and fixed them. Even our next door neighbor commented that it was the most pleasant experience they have had with a neighboring roof replacement job and they liked to see the safety measures the guys used while on the roof. Back in December, we had a different Roofer come by the neighborhood offering free estimates. They found several leaks in our attic space and initially quoted us for 19k on a 3,000 sq foot home. I told them I wanted to get competing bids, and eventually lowered the estimate to 11k, but they wanted us to enter a contract immediately and use lower durability materials. That whole experience turned me off, so I looked for different contractors. Enter North Creek Roofing. I gave a call, and got a hold of Evan R. who came over for an estimate. Evan is great, you can tell he's a veteran. He didn't try to up sale us. We ended up going with North Creek Roofing because it was one of the most competitive bids, and they came recommended by my brother who went with them for a different job. Overall their performance exceeded expectations. They initially said construction would begin January 24th, but construction got pushed back a bit to the 27th, due to a spat of bad weather earlier in the month. They told us the job would take 2-3 days, and they finished in 2. We went with an onyx black shingle, and they even painted our vents to match the roof. Overall, we're very happy. TLDR -- North Creek Roofing has experienced, honest, roofers who want to do a good job, without squeezing you for every cent. You can always get a cheaper bid, but at a certain point you get what you pay for. read more

They were very responsive, gave us the best bid out of 3, completed the job quickly, and were very thorough with their cleaning. You don't really think about your roof unless it's leaking, and then it's an emergency, especially in rainy Seattle in the winter. We had 3 bids, they were lower than the others by a couple thousand and they seemed really honest. The first time they came they let us know it was the bathroom vent that was leaking, not the roof per se. But our roof needed replacing regardless so we went with North Creek. They came when they said they would and completed the job in 2 days. We looked on the roof to make sure they completed the job. The workers only put in 10 of 13 vents so we let the manager know. They sent someone the next morning and completed the job in an hour or 2. They did an amazing job tidying up. They even had this magnetic thingy to pick up any stray nails and left our property cleaner than they started. We really appreciated that. North Creek Roofing was referred to us by my parents who in turn were referred to them by a neighbor who worked with them on several of their rental properties. Last summer (2020), they replaced our roof. We were super pleased with the quality of work and professionalism of North Creek. They did everything they said they would do and we had a very good interaction with all of their employees including our project manager and especially our on-site project lead. They finished our roof (1470 sq. ft. ranch) within one day and High Point Gutter came out and did all of their work within approximately 1/2 day. We love the look and quality of the materials that were used, which were the Owens Corning Duration Premium shingles in Estate Gray. We selected black gutters and downspouts for our mint green house and the roof/gutters give our house a clean, modern look. We are so happy that North Creek and High Point did this work. Bid came in a little higher than competitors but decided to go with them because of their knowledge and prompt responses. Overall, they did a good job with the roof. 5/5 for the roof itself. Was mostly out of town during the construction and received notification when the roof was done. I came home and inspected the roof based on the contract and two parts of the contract weren't complete. I contacted them and they came out and finished the job, but when your dropping $20,000 for a job I would expect better communication and execution of a contract before notifying the customer the job is complete. We spent about 24+ thousand to get a roof replaced. I had selected North Creek because my dad had this company reroof his home and was happy, and I had investigated the Angie's list reports. A thought: The work is only as good as the people who are hired to do the work. There were a number of things that happened; I had to contact the salesman because he failed to send a revised bid when we decided to upgrade on our choice of roofing materials, and the list of home addresses the company gave me to view (so to better choose a color) had outdated/non-existent color names listed. When I mentioned this to the young woman in the office she acted like I was a complainer. The starting date was pushed back by weeks. I decided to overlook these somewhat small annoyances. On day one, our old wooden shakes were taken off. When the workers left for the evening, they didn't bother to cover the entire roof with tarps, but just put a couple of tarps on, leaving the roof open (September 2.) We had come home from eating out and it was dark, so we didn't know the insulation and home was exposed. We woke up at 2 am with rain coming through our bedroom ceiling. We scurried to put buckets and pans everywhere so the carpet wouldn't get soaked. Though the supervisor apologized and tried to make it right, I still had to take a couple days off work to meet with a drywall repairman, etc, so lost wages/days at work. We had wet insulation to be replaced and two rooms needed to be repainted. To top it off, I got a call from a woman in the office, asking for payment before the supervisor had even done the final inspection of the corrected work, which I considered rather demanding and a bit insulting (like maybe they thought I was going to withhold payment?) I didn't tell her what I thought, but mentally put another negative tally mark next to the company name. I do not recommend North Creek Roofing. read more

We just had the roof replaced by North Creek Roofing Inc. From the quote to the final inspection, everything was very professional. We got about a half dozen quotes, NCR wasn't the lowest or the highest but they offered the best workmanship warranty and being a Platinum Owens Corning installer, they were able to offer the best OC warranty. They squeaked in just barely under our max budget. Their price on new plywood (if needed) was the lowest of all the quotes we received. Communication was great whether it was a call, text or email. The dumpster arrived on time and was removed the morning after the roof was done. After both days of install, and after the dumpster was removed, the mess was cleaned up. They made sure to sweep for loose nails and I haven't found a single one yet. I'd say they got 99.9% of the material cleaned up, including the gutters. Only 2 minor criticisms: 1. We are early workers and asked that they finish each day by 5:30, the second day they ran over by an hour but I understand they needed to finish so they could get to the next customer and we did have some plywood replaced to try and fix a dip in the roof, so that took up some time. 2. Some insulation got into one of the bathroom vent tubes while disconnected and it immediately logged the screen on the new vent. They offered to come back but I was able to clean it out with a shop vac. This also gave me an up close look at the new roof. It looks amazing! No exposed nail heads, shingles cut and laid nice and straight. I would not hesitate to recommend NCR to anyone. read more

It was time for us to get a new roof due to outdated standards and age, obvious warping and endless sediment in our gutters. We dragged changing the roof quite long enough. A total of four roofers came by for a quote and we chose "North Creek Roofing" because they gave a great price for the amount of work to be done (complete re-roofing with ridge vents installation, two sky light replacements, warranty, etc). They are local and already did great work in houses in and around our neighborhood. The staff was courteous, respectful and hardworking to say the least. They completed the work in two days, demolishing, repairing rotten areas and placing shingles. I can't say enough to thank them for a professional and trustworthy job! Ask for Ray to get a quote, Orlando and his crew are a solid and awesome team and Jacinto, the supervisor, kept the job moving. If you are looking for a roofer, don't pass up this company. A Happy Ending We had North Creek Roofing put a new roof on our leaky home back in 2005. Unfortunately, this roof, too, had it's own issues with leaks over the intervening years. North Creek Roofing was always very responsive to these leaks, and took care of them quickly. It eventually became apparent to the owner, Dan McNeely, that the workmanship on this roof was simply subpar and admitted as much. Initially, his response was to extend our warranty, but this Spring (2014), he decided to completely replace the roof with a new one at his expense! The new roof, in addition to additional needed repairs to the plywood sheathing, was given the addition of a complete Grace Ice and Water Shield due to the 2/12 slope of our roof. The workmanship was impeccable and we have full confidence that it will protect us from any and all water leaks for the life of the roof. I want to say how impressed my wife and I are with Dan for stepping up and clearly going above and beyond to take care of this difficult situation. Dan obviously takes his reputation seriously and is clearly a man of integrity. His roofing company comes highly recommended. read more

We used Chris at North Creek Roofing because our realtor recommended him. We would not use him again. Chris quoted us $1,139.84 to brush the roof, clean the gutters, clean the skylight, and haul away the debris from the gutters/roof. We asked him about the high price before we agreed since the footprint of the house is only 685 sq. ft., and he said it is a big job and takes 7 hours with 2-3 guys (which calculates to 14-21 man hours, $54.27-$81.42/hr). I thought the price made more sense if it was going to take that long. What actually happened was it took 2 guys 2.5 hours (5 man hours, $227.97/hr) and they didn't clean out the balcony gutters or haul away the debris from the roof/gutters. When we brought this to his attention, they came back to do the balcony gutters and haul away the debris, and gave us ~5% discount, making our total $1,082.85 ($216.57/hr) - more than my attorney's hourly rate. Overall, North Creek Roofing didn't do the whole job without our prompting, the quality of work was lacking -- and ironically, getting our gutters cleaned made our house look dirty, to this day we have dried dirt under the eaves and on the outside of the gutters due to the method they used to blast stuff out of the gutters. But the worst part was being misled on the amount of manpower required to complete it. If he had told us it was a 2.5 hour job for two fellows, we would definitely not have agreed to $1,139.84. read more

They were very competitive, actually at the lower end of the estimates we received, but the responsiveness and the dedication that we experienced from the installers was absolutely Top Notch.
