The days of having a neighborhood kid shovel the snow are unfortunately gone-they don't exist-BUT what exist is North Eastern!! When you live an hour away from an elderly parent and can't get there to shovel and or salt ,North Eastern is there-reliable,dependable and on the job no matter how much snow has fallen. Life saver company. Had an issue at home with some unwelcome guest and Victor and his crew came and helped with all the preparation work that needed to be done. Very professional company. I was extremely happy with their work. They followed all CDC protocols while working and were fast and efficient. I would highly recommend.

Unfortunately, I was very very disappointed with this company. Victor seemed like a good guy, and maybe he is, but the men he sent to my apartment were not. I had bed bugs in my bed and asked him to take it out of the apartment to fumigate it, which was the advice I'd been given. I explained to Victor that I had a very expensive Sleep Number bed with an adjustable base. I sent him photos. I told Victor that the work couldn't begin in my apartment until my super gave the OK, making sure she had received the paperwork. He sent the paperwork over right away. Everything seemed good. He was supposed to come at 1pm the day after I called. I appreciated that he made the appointment right away. He said they could even come earlier than 1pm. I said,"No don't come early unless I have the OK from the super." They came half an hour early anyway. When the guys arrived, I said, "You came early. You can't do the work until the super says it's OK." Because everything had happened so fast, the super didn't have all the paperwork yet. I told them that my management company had just told me that they needed a worker's comp document. Victor got it to me right away. But my super needed to receive it from me first. She has to do her job, so even though Victor had SENT it, that didn't mean my super had seen it yet. They would have only had to wait at most until about 1pm -- when they were scheduled to arrive -- to have everything in order. I asked them if they knew how to disassemble my Sleep Number bed, which is attached to an adjustable base, and they said no. I told them that I was in the midst of printing out the instructions for disassembly. I made it clear that they needed to make sure they knew how to disassemble the bed. Before I gave them the printed instructions on how to disassemble the bed, they walked into my bedroom, and WITHOUT MY PERMISSION, AND AGAINST MY EXPLICIT INSTRUCTIONS began to disassemble the bed. The super came to my apartment to ask if the men were in the apartment. I said yes and I REITERATED TO THE MEN THAT THEY HAD TO WAIT UNTIL MY SUPER GAVE THE OK. The super told them that they weren't even supposed to be upstairs in my apartment until she had the paperwork. She spoke to them professionally and politely, but they argued with her. She later told me what I hadn't noticed, which was that one of them had hung his jacket on the fire sprinkler. They left, saying they would be back later. Victor called me and said, "We're not taking the job." Apparently, his men gave him some story about the super. I was right there and heard their interactions. She was polite and was just doing her job, and I, THE OWNER, HAD TOLD THEM THAT THEY HAD TO WAIT UNTIL THE SUPER SAID IT WAS OK. Victor actually argued with me on the phone about how his men didn't have to listen to the super. What he said didn't make any sense to me. I'm the owner. If I say they need the super's OK, then it was the owner they were disregarding as well. Again: it's not as though I had kept them waiting -- they had arrived early. I understand they wanted to get the job finished, but there was no reason for them to simply disregard everything that was asked of them. I now have a partly disassembled bed. So, to summarize: 1. They came early, against my explicit instructions. 2. They began the work, against my explicit instructions. 3. They then refused to finish the job we had contracted for. leaving me in the lurch. I anticipate that Victor will respond to this post, claiming that the super was at fault, because apparently that is what his guys said to him. Or, somehow he will try to make me seem at fault. The problem, at least on this job, is that he has men who work for him who are careless and who, apparently, tell tall tales when they haven't done their job properly. Thanks for making my difficult situation more difficult, Victor. read more

Again my apartment was totally out of hand, partly due to circumstances beyond my control. But North Eastern came to the rescue again! They are the most professional company, from communicating date and time, discussing the services you need, giving a $ quote, and then confirming, and showing up promptly. Victor and Jesus run a tight ship and the workers are excellent. They are in touch with them during the job to see that all's going well. I was particularly impressed with Diana and Joanna, who continuously worked so hard for several hours. They cleaned and organized everything in sight, always asking what was to be kept or discarded. And I am totally secure with their honesty and character. Your investment is well worth their impeccable service which is all performed so pleasantly! From the comfort of my peaceful and bed bug free home I am writing this review to sing praises for a PHENOMENAL company. From the first panic stricken moment of finding out we inherited bed bugs from an apartment neighbor to the peaceful and serene new home we now have, Victor and his amazing team were my guides. Always patient, understanding and incredibly hard working, victor and his team surpassed all my expectations. Understandably so, having bed bugs causes anxiety and sleepless nights-Victor always remained calm and thorough which helped keep me calm through the process as well and even better, their service was so quick, scheduling me in very fast so that I could put this behind me even sooner. The team he sent to pack my apartment were some of the hardest working individuals I have ever met-they flew like a (gentle) tornado through my apartment packaging everything up to prepare for fumigation. Delivery of my belongings to my new home was just as smooth and wonderful with careful attention to detail every step of the way. I knew I was working with a gem of a company but it was really solidified when several neighbors commented to me about 'the amazing team of movers' they saw working swiftly at my home! North Eastern handles our snow plowing. Their service is impeccable. They are more cost effective than our previous contractor, they send us weather reports in advance of snow/ice occurrences, and they confirm that they will be there to handle things. They don't just push snow around and block our parking lot. They had to move the snow to a specific location per our instructions. Great job!!! read more

Extremely satisfied with North Eastern for my snow removal! Last year the winter in NYC was so terrible with all the snow but my mind was at ease with Victor's great service. Updates are emailed concerning forecasted snow. With one glance , I can decide when I need service and they are there in a flash, doing a thorough job, what a relief! We were referred to North Eastern by M&M Pest, a very reputable company, after finding out that we had bed bugs. I spoke with Victor who was very patient and helpful, about the options for helping us understand the process of North Eastern packing up all our stuff for fumigation. I spoke with 2 other companies as well. I chose North Eastern for one main reason-- Victor's care, responsiveness and readiness to provide service for us immediately. The next day a team of people came to our apartment and packed our belongings up. They spent 2 days packing up and man do these guys work hard! They are so particular and precise that one of the workers found a bottle of prescription pills in a Rite-Aid paper bag tucked away randomly in my closet. I no longer need them anyway but she asked if I needed to keep them out or if they were ok for them to pack-- just to be safe. These guys don't just work-- they care. There was one piece of glass in a frame that when my belongings were returned I had unpacked and found it had broken. And while I told Victor about it, I realized the content was sentimental (and fine) but the frame was cheap and nothing special. He insisted on reimbursing me and I received a check in the mail for $20 with a nice note. Don't even bother looking further. These guys are exactly right for the job! read more
