I like exploring and discovering the unique brands they offer and appreciate that everything is reasonably priced. Cloverdale can be a quiet little town, but Erin Mavis always has a flow of customers come through then I'm there. The staff are friendly and welcoming; there's a real community feel! On my most recent visit I scored a pair of comfortable, light-colored, distressed denim, a cotton sweater, AND a luxurious pair of cashmere fingerless gloves. I'm wearing the gloves now on this cold, gloomy day and love them! Erin Mavis is also currently offering a darling holiday market about a block away, tucked away in a courtyard. It was also a couple doors down from this delicious chocolate shop where they had an incredibly interesting gentleman! At this particular location, I noticed they had different clothes than the Petaluma location as well as different colors and patterns so I was rather interested in this location versus the downtown Petaluma Boutique. Both places were priced about the same as any other boutique so nothing too crazy but shirts were about $30 and sweaters were about $45. They did have a number of different styles of jackets at this particular location also. I will definitely come back again!!

After two or three weeks, I emailed Roe to see if she would contact me for a make-up appointment. After about a week, she replied that she would try to "squeeze me in." This was very off-putting. Also, their pay-out policy is strange. I have been consigning clothes for a long time, and I have never dealt with a business like this where we have to beg them to take our things. Very disappointing. It would have been nice not to have to go into SF where there is a wonderful consignment shop. Guess I'm going to SF from now on.

So I have been shopping in this store and it's sister store for 2 years have spent over 4k and…read moretruly love these shops but I bought a pair of pants on Thursday and wore them Friday for 2 hours the pants ripped during regular activities and by the way they were big not tight and the assistant manger who was sold me a 1k jacket one year earlier at the the time was super nice was not only rude but disrespectful she at no time remotely had any shown sympathy or remorse just basically tried saying that construction was good and they are good quality yes there was a little dust on them because I wore to an event which I had to leave to come back to hotel and change. If I was the manufacture I would no longer allow this shop to carry my $207 pants with this kind of customer service. I never get upset or ever post anything but this really upset me.

She wears trendy dresses and skirts while I was always kinda blah. She told me about Oak so I followed them on Instagram (@oak.boutique) because I live in Nevada. Last weekend I drove to Kelseyville. Oak is so worth the drive! I told the staff that I'm going to Hawaii in a couple of months for a wedding and needed dresses. Also, I live in Reno which is really hot during the summer and was looking for cute clothing appropriate for the warm weather. Sabrina was amazing! She recommended a pretty blue dress and as soon as I put it on, I knew it was the dress for the wedding! Caitlin, Oak's owner, also helped me select other dresses, jeans, jean shorts, skirts and tang tops. She's also super sweet and made recommendations on how to put together outfits since I'm not so good at it. She's an easy going salesperson which I appreciate. She made a recommendation and didn't pressure me to make any sales. As a result, I walked away with something like 6 dresses, 2 pairs of jeans, jean cutoff shorts, skirt, a blouse or two and a super cute hat. The best thing about Oak, other than their excellent customer service, are their prices! The average dress cost only $36! That's amazing! The quality of the dresses are good too. For that price, one would expect poor quality clothing but they're really good and will last me several seasons. Caitlin told me that she selects the clothes herself in LA so it's she sells the latest trends. Oak is such a good deal. Another thing to note are sizes. I'm a size 14-16 so it can be hard for me to find cute clothes. Most times, I'm stuck with solid color clothing that aren't very flattering or fit very well. Oak sells a large range of clothing varying from small to 3X which made shopping so much easier. Oak actually had my size! Overall, I'm coming back! Can't wait to purchase my winter wardrobe at Oak.
