Honestly, this was the nicest place we stayed during our vacation out west, and we would love to come back for a week. The cabin was well-provisioned with everything you need, including a fridge, microwave, and TV/DVD (in case it rains?). The cabin was clean and very comfortable, and even romantic. The only drawback for us was that the weather was extremely unseasonably warm, and it took the log cabin a long time to cool down at night (it was in the high 90s and there is no AC). But the ceiling fan did help. Breakfast was delicious. The owner was very friendly and happy to give advice about things to see and do both inside and outside of the park. And the grounds are immaculate. If you want a nice place to stay where you can avoid the noise and crowds, I highly recommend staying here.

If you just want a nice LOOKING place with a few extra amenities near Glacier National Park, this…read morewill fit that bill. Don't get your hopes up too high. We stayed at the deluxe chalet for the second and last time this year. Here we go with the tough lesson that took us a second time to learn. The place LOOKS nice all-around. Your first clue that upkeep is not a priority is the second step on the stairs as you walk to the office to check in. It's split almost in half, making getting up the stairs a little dicey. Further on to the deluxe chalet, past lots of nice landscaping, paint is peeling everywhere, and wooden railings seem ideal for splinters. Inside the deluxe chalet, first impressions are nice. It LOOKS attractive. For the second year, the left sink in the full bath linked a LOT on the floor, making it virtually unusable. Though we shared the second sink, the fact that this wasn't fixed from last year seems to speak to the lack of concern for upkeep. There's daily maid service, but it seems to be a minimum. They make the beds, pick up used towels, and empty trash (usually), but they may rely too heavily on the Roomba. The wood floors never seemed clean, to the point where I noticed after walking around barefoot for a while inside, the water under my feet turned black briefly after I started my shower. If you want to sit and relax after a long day at the park, there's satellite TV, but navigating the menus is a mess (probably more DishTV's fault) and the smart TV features on all TVs were maddening to figure out, and never worked once you DID figure them out (partially Vizio's bad design). The wireless internet was reasonable, but note there are two routers with two different passwords. Because why make things simple? The bedrooms LOOK nice (seeing a trend?) but the beds are hard, and the pillows are only a slight step up from the ones airlines used to offer. If you need neck support, you might want to bring your own. Last, there's the overall struggle to be comfortable with the temperature. There's NO air conditioning, so if the outside temp breaks 80, good luck cooling down before nightfall, especially with poor indoor air circulation, even with a ceiling fan in the living room and one in one of the two bedrooms. The afternoon sun BAKES the sun room, and the rest of the time it matches the outdoor temperature, so it might as well be an open-air room. We finally learned the hard way that the premium cost for the deluxe chalet was not worth it for the not-at-all premium and uncomfortable experience. Hopefully this review can save you money, discomfort, and disappointment.

The lobby has coffee service 24/7, complimentary breakfast, and at night smores kits at the adjacent outdoor fireplace. There's a kureig coffee machine in every room. On the lower level there's a game room with a pool table and a shuffle board table among other activities. There's a unique indoor/outdoor pool and a jacuzzi. Rooms are quiet except for some foot steps we heard above. Location is great. Easy walking access to downtown. There's a Safeway and Walgreens a block away. Bonus points for the in room microwave. Parking is no extra charge. The base room rate was $199 per night for our stay. There's an amenity fee of $23 and a few bucks of tax which wasn't much. There's another $4 of "optional" fees I guess you could decline. We stayed 5 nights and the breakfast got repetitive but it's a nice way for them to add value. It's at least hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage and pancakes. We would definitely stay here again.

We actually traveled for over 2 months this summer, and this was by far our favorite stop. Within 10 minutes of arriving, we extended our stay for another week. Just beautiful and peaceful and relaxing on the lake with so much to do. And the owners were friendly and gracious. The whole property is so well kept, and the cabin itself had all the amenities you could need. Lots of special, unexpected touches - like ingredients for making s'mores at the nightly campfire. One night, they put up a big screen and played a kid-friendly movie. Also, wifi was great everywhere on the property. Plenty to do nearby - hiking trails, Whitefish, Glacier National Park (of course). We picked huckleberries! Can't wait to go back!

Amazing sun room to relax in and see the outdoors even when raining or cold. Additionally, plenty of patio as well as yard space to sit outdoors. The room was adorable and clean. DANG, Chris T, I wanted to be the first to review Polebridge Hostel! This place rocks…read more This is a hostel in the true tradition. Its rustic, welcoming and peaceful; the scenery is wonderful. Its a great place to rest after exploring Glacier Natl. Park. I've stayed here a few times, twice by myself and once with my mom who loved it! Its worth the seemingly never-ending drive over the gravel washboard road to get there. Once on my drive there, I came upon a bear sitting in the middle of the road, and just drove slowly around it, hoping it didn't want to come sit on my little car. I stayed in the main hostel lodge, and as we first walked in, I remember being charmed by the fireplace. As twilight approached, it was recommended we go to the restroom - outside and a short walk - in the light. I'm not going to spoil it for you, but the outhouse is one of the best features of the place. Back in the lodge, there were lamps to be lit, and i had a bath in a huge claw-foot tub. We watched a short movie (generator?) and hit the hay. We sat in the kitchen in the morning and chatted with other hostelers. Cozy, comfy, and I felt like I was in a gold miner's lodge at the turn of the century. Be advised, this hostel is rustic but its one of my favorite hostels I've had the privilege of staying. If you can't handle an outhouse or bears, wolverines, swooping eagles, no electricity and log cabins, think twice and find a motel away from the stillness of the woods. But if you miss it, you've missed great fun and an experience you will always remember.

Brian (part of the staff) greeted us on Day 1, and he was there just about all of the time. He was extremely, extremely helpful. And extremely, extremely nice. Service like this goes a long way. Some special notes which made this place way, way above your typical hotel stay (as compared to mainstream brands like Hilton or Marriot).. The room(s) were impeccable with detail. Everything from the chairs outside of the rooms, the towels, folding the beds/pillows etc... You could tell they put a custom touch on. The breakfast was nothing short of delicious staring with the coffee, which was excellent quality coffee. Not farmer bros or max house, this stuff was top tier. (I am a coffee snob and do strictly pour overs only at home). Breakfast burritos were delicious. And the huckleberry jam and bread was excellent. You get a REAL breakfast here. Great location, you can walk down the hill, there is a nice place to eat nearby (Belton chalet). It is very peaceful. The air is so clean you can smell it. 100% highest and strongest endorsement.

It is close to the West park entrance. Best of all is how Brian runs this lodge, from attention to detail of amenities, cleanliness, yummy breakfast burritos and yogurt bowls for breakfast. Our bag lunch we ordered and Brian made was so nice to have on our day drive the next day. This place is quaint, quiet and so nice to come back to after an adventurous day. We stayed in room #5 on the 1st floor. We loved it. Has a refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker (tea and coffee) Nice roomy bathroom, two queen beds in a spacious room with a patio off the back as well as Adirondack chairs in the front. The accommodations are quite comfortable with a well equipped kitchen in the main building capable of serving a crowd. Our group of ten had no problem turning out a wonderful Thanksgiving spread. The other two sleeping quarters have small kitchens as well. The location also features easy access to hiking trails (including a short loop on the property) and fishing at Beaver Lake. All in all, a great destination for a group or family gathering.
