We went to the resort late July to hike so we purchased tickets for the lifts and alpine slide…read more The parking lot is quite big so there are plenty of parking spaces. The main building was empty except for a couple of employees selling tickets. I thought it could definitely use a refresh but we were not there for the lodge. We rode up 2 lifts to reach the top of Whitefish Mountain. There are two peaks you can take lifts up and we went to the higher peak for one if the longer hikes. Both lifts were easy to get on, getting off was a little sketchy as we had to quickly jump off and move several steps forward to avoid being hit by the lift. Thank goodness for the lift operator assisting people off the lift! I'm sure it's much easier to exit when skiing. The ride up was great. Such beautiful views! There is a small bar/restaurant at the top with amazing patio views and a restroom. We hiked down the Danny On Trail From the top. There are plenty of trail Markers so you cannot get lost. We did see a sign warning us of bear activity while hiking but we never actually saw any animal activity, not even a deer. A majority of the trail had beautiful views of Whitefish Lake. The lower part of the hiking trail was covered with dozens of people picking huckleberries so you just had to navigate around those groups. The hike took approximately 3 hours to reach the Alpine Slide area. You could ride the slide down or jump on the ski lift to go down. Whichever you purchased tickets to do. There are is also a separate trail for mountain bikers but we didn't cross those trails until closer to the Alpine slide area. We purchased tickets for the Alpine Slide so we jumped in line which went quickly. There are two slides to choose from. One slide is "fast" and the other is slower and more scenic. We chose the scenic as it was our first time on the slide. You can also choose the speed as you navigate down the slide. The slide drops you right off at the bottom of the resort so you can walk directly to the parking lot. I would definitely recommend the hiking and Alpine slide. It was very scenic and a wonderful experience.

The only reason why I'm giving them 4 stars and not 5 is because they have absolutely NO SECURITY CAMERAS at the ski racks. I went inside to buy some pictures that this ski resort took of my wife and I and 10min later I came outside and my skis were stolen! Be careful! The ski resort said they could pull the security footage and after they made me wait 40min they said they actually didn't have cameras pointing to the ski racks so there was nothing they could do! Ridiculous. My rental skis were stolen and they did nothing to try and find who did it. They should 100% have security cameras pointing to the ski racks!

The room was spacious, clean, with a nice view, large bathroom area, and a fridge, coffee machine, and free water & assorted beverages. It was also in a building that was centrally located -- near the fitness area and across from the clubhouse which has the restaurant and the gift shop. The staff there was incredibly nice, particularly Brandy at the front desk and Tina at the restaurant -- they were helpful, friendly, and very efficient. The bar had a great beer & wine selection, and the food was delicious -- breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A great experience all around!

Immaculate restrooms on the course and in the clubhouse as well as reasonably priced food. Our food took a little longer than expected so they offered to bring it to us on the course. Not something I was expecting but certainly appreciated. There were two separate marshals on the course the day we played and helped my duo to play through back to back foursomes in front of us. Overall great service and place to get away. I hope to be back in the future.

Wow! What an absolutely incredible place!…read more Our stay at Flathead Lake Resort began when we pulled up and Natasha, one of the staff members greeted us with a giant, genuine smile on her face and a silly greeting. Throughout the stay, her, Jack, and the other staff at the resort, truly helped create a feeling of community, appreciation and fun! My three friends and I stayed in the Anker cabin, which I believe is one of their largest spaces. It was the perfect size for four of us for a weekend getaway. The space has a large bedroom with a wall down the middle, creating two bedrooms, each with a bed, as well as a futon in the living room. There is a good sized living room, a small porch, a kitchen and a bathroom. The space is clean and simply decorated. The beds were kinda weird (I don't know how to explain why) but they were surprisingly comfortable. We were so grateful to be provided with two large fans. At night time, we opened the windows and turned on the fans and it cancelled out all outside noises and made for a very comfortable sleep. We were all amazed at how well we slept every single night that we were here. One of the best parts of staying at this resort is that they have a small private beach from that is just for people staying here. To be honest, before I arrived, I was concerned about the small size of the beach, but half of the time that we went down there, it was just our group and a few other people. And there were a few times that we went down and there were around 10-15 people but everyone was super friendly and we had some great conversations. Everyone we met had a smile on their face and was having a great time. One night, we even had a fire right by the lake with about 8 other people and just had the best time telling stories and laughing. I woke up every morning before my friends and went to sit down by the lake by myself to drink coffee and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. One morning, I went to the lake around 7 am and the lake was crystal clean so all of the surrounding mountains were perfectly reflected into the lake creating a gorgeous symmetrical landscape. I also watched hawks and water birds fly by, as well as deer munching on the trees in a nearby yard. One day, my friends and I rented two paddleboards and two kayaks from the resort to spend the day on the lake. This was probably my favorite part of our entire weekend here. The 'boats' were really affordable for a half day and the experience was amazing. The lake is huge and breathtakingly beautiful as it is surrounded by beautiful mountains and estates. We were grateful to have a bald eagle fly over us with a fish in it's claws. We also saw a bunch of seagulls and a few fish swimming below us. This lake is very clear and even in deep areas, you can see through the waters to the rocks on the bottom. It's truly spectacular. I can't say enough amazing things about this resort and can't wait to come back again in the future. So incredible!
