I can remember walking here as a child…read moreto buy my Mom cigarettes with a note in hand way back in the day, when that was allowed.....lol So as you can imagine this place has changed names/owners. The inside store itself has kinda always been the same with what it sells. Currently it has a Moe's counter where you can have a Moe's sub to order or grab one in the cooler that is already made if you don't have time to wait. There is also an Aroma Joe's coffee shop inside. No place to sit down & drink the coffee or eat your Moe's. No place outside either. Aroma Joe's does have a drive through for those who don't want to go inside. I remember this use to be a donut shop before. There is a bathroom outside of the store & you may have to go inside to get the key?? It's been years since I've used the bathroom here. This gas station can get very busy & isn't always the easiest to get into due to the busy traffic on Lafayette road. Gas pumps are easy to use. Pay @ the lump or inside. There's a good choice of scratch tickets & you can get your lottery tickets here too. Guess what?!?!? You can use your debit card or credit card to pay for these things now.....can be very dangerous for some & very convenient!! lol I don't recall seeing any gas station hot food or soda fountain inside & this may be due to having the coffee & sub shop. There's plenty of beverages, chips, snacks, sweets & some house hold items to choose from inside. I've even seen an ATM machine. It's a gas station, what can I say?? lol I met the manger on my last trip inside & he was very nice/friendly. Big smile on his face. There is an air filling station outside too but it was waiting for repair last few times I had stopped in to purchase my Powerball tickets & a Moe's. I do miss that it's not open 24hrs anymore. Closes around 11pm or midnight?? Not 100% sure on their hours......

I stopped in here tonight on my way home from work to grab beer and cigarettes. I turned 21…read morerecently and have a paper ID, but that is not the issue here. When I placed the beer upon the counter, the older African-American woman who was working asked me for my ID. When I pulled out the paper ID, she got very angry and said "I thought I told you to stop coming in here with that paper!" (I had never once been inside this gas station, let alone attempt to purchase anything.) I told her that I had never been into this store and that she probably had me confused with someone else, but she was still angry. I turned to walk out without my items, but she stopped me and said that she'd "let me buy beer one last time." (Again, I had never before been inside.) So, I said okay, and asked if I could also purchase a pack of Marlboros. She again got very angry with me and said she can't take the paper ID as it would be "breaking the law" However, she was still letting me purchase the beer. (Huh?) She then proceeded to tell me "just have one of your friends come in here and buy it if you need it that bad." I laughed and asked well wouldn't that be breaking the law? To which she had no reply but further angry mumbling. Again, I get I shouldn't expect every gas station to not scan my ID, but if you're gonna do that at least be consistent with it and don't contradict yourself. I just don't understand how you can sell someone beer but refuse to sell them cigarettes.

I stopped at this gas station at like 2 AM just to get gas and leave. Simple plan. Should've known…read morebetter. The gas part? Perfect. Pump worked, didn't explode, price only hurt a little. But the second I got out of my car, there was a guy just standing there holding a banana... no car... just staring. I ignored it because I value my peace. Inside was worse. A dude was buying like 12 hot dogs with full confidence, the cashier looked like he hasn't slept since 2004, and someone dropped a slushie and just walked away like it never happened. Meanwhile two guys were arguing about energy drinks like it was a scientific debate. I grabbed my drink and left before I got involved in whatever was going on. Came back outside, banana guy gone. Completely vanished. Honestly though? 10/10. Got my gas, survived, and experienced whatever that was. Would go again!

John the attendant was pleasant, quick and very freindly truly a throwback to the days of full SERVICE! Whenever I'm in the area, this will be my gas station of choice!
