I don't even know where to begin so I'll just list the issues with my wholesale account: 1) AJ told me I was utilizing too many "free services" whatever that means 2) AJ informed me they were short staffed so I had to "shovel my cars out" after the huge snow storm a couple weeks ago. WHAT?! 3) Constant issues that needed to bring back my cars in after service 4) Mike informed me that they "knicked my car" but it was fine. I've been a loyal Town Fair Tire customer for years, but this year has been unbelievably frustrating. First, I brought in three cars, and every single one left with a low tire pressure warning. I checked the pressures myself afterward and they were all low--one of the cars was about 30% under the recommended pressure. One car had to go back three times. I even did an alignment while I was there, but the results kept changing: after the first alignment the steering wheel was about 15 degrees off to the left; the second time it was about 3 degrees to the right; the third time it was about 5 degrees to the left. The third car had another issue from the start: the tire pressure sensors weren't reset properly, so no matter how I inflated the tires, the readings were wrong. On my first return visit I specifically asked them to check the spare tire as well, but it was ignored. They didn't actually check it until the third visit. What really upset me was when I asked why they didn't test drive the car after the alignment. I was told they don't do test drives due to liability, which makes no sense--how can you confirm an alignment is correct without verifying it? Now the third car still has the steering wheel about 5 degrees off to the left, and the traction control warning light (yellow) is on and won't go away. At this point I have to take it to the dealer. Originally I had an alignment and tires balanced in the Londonderry store. Unfortunately car was pulling to the left and vibrating so I brought it back to the Salem New Hampshire store, which is closer to my work. Dropped it off in the morning. One of the managers went out and looked at the tires and came back and said he could not balance the tires because they are almost at replacement and they would look at the alignment. While it was dropped off, I checked with other stores regarding his balancing statement. Each store said the tires could still be balanced again as they are causing vibration. I called the main number and they said my car was ready so he I headed down there. When I got there, they said it was not ready so my ride had to come back and pick me up. About 20 minutes past and that same manager called and said the car was ready. I called him back, spoke to him and he said they could not do anything with the alignment as the connections were frozen. Not sure how they got frozen from the time they aligned it in Londonderry till the time I brought it to Salem New Hampshire. He also stated the same BS about balancing the tires. I basically told him I would just come and pick it up. Right from the start this man did not want to even touch my car. I can tell by talking to him at first. I ordered tires on Saturday a gentleman and recall his name, but he has red hair said they would be ordered in on Monday so I drop my rims and tires off on Monday morning. He said they would be done by tomorrow afternoon a.k.a. Tuesday afternoon. I called Tuesday at three looking for an update. Spoke to the manager who believes his name is Mike said four tires are already done and one is waiting to be delivered from the warehouse. It'll be in Wednesday morning at 10:30. I said OK that's fine. I said I would be able to pick them up at 1 o'clock on Wednesday. I show up at 1 o'clock on Wednesday the redheaded male and Mike and some other gentlemen we're looking around the shop for about 20 minutes. couldn't find the tires never mind my old ones not the gentleman said he didn't do them and I was in the waiting room. I see in the back the redhead another gentleman blowing all five tires that have not been mounted yet to the Shop. So the manager lied to me yesterday saying four tires were done already which they were not and now the services two days later than promised, they are incapable and unorganized at that location stay far away. read more

Good: Great place for tires only. Clean bathroom. BAD: 3 vehicles brought in for alignment and told all 3 times that the vehicle was 'good to go'. The printout, however, shows that the camber/ tow are in the red. When I inquired about it, they say "oh it was frozen, and we could not make the proper adjustments." I took each vehicle home and had the "frozen" parts free. I'm a nurse... not a mechanic! Point is, DO NOT GO HERE FOR ALIIGNMENTS!! The techs are lazy and won't do the job right... you will end up doing their work for them. read more

Set up an appointment for four tires from the call center. Call center told me I was buying performance radial tires. I was never given a different name. Im not a tire guy. Thought "performance" was the brand. Set the appointment. Went to it and they did the job. In the computer they had it listed as performance radial. I went to check my paperwork for when to have my lugs torqued and it listed the tire as "nexen wind guard spike 3". I was confused. Thought they had switched the tires on me. Went in to ask and the employee was trying to explain its how they do it. Said they refer to them as performance radial. I expressed that it is misleading and that i could not price match if I dont know what im buying. A guy named Luis was walking by and entered the conversation. Told me that the part number is on there and that I should have looked it up. Said "we are not hiding anything". I said it kind of is hiding it. I did not know what tires I actually bought until days later when I looked at my receipt. I didn't have a part # and at no point did anyone tell me the correct name. This gentleman argued with me for 5 minutes. Very uncaring and superior attitude. At some point he just walked away. Then Paul explained that I should talk to corporate. Which makes sense. Its not his fault. I apologized to both paul and Louis for their trouble. Explained that what happened was not their fault and I wasnt trying to be difficult. At no point did I raise my voice or swear. I just think not referring to the tires by their proper name was misleading. As I was leaving Louis could not he'll bit take a final shot. "Its ok sir, we all have our days" this instantly made me very angry and I almost turned around to argue but figured it was not going to help the situation. So I left. I did find the tires a bit cheaper but I dont care. I am more bothered with the idea I didn't know the name of the tires I bought until I read the receipt. And MOST upset with louis's attitude. First not admitting it was not ok to not tell me the name. Then telling me I should have looked up the part number I didn't have. Then blaming me for the entire thing by saying "we all have our days". Even paul admitted that When he looked up my account the computer only said performance radial Tire. The name nexen was only on my receipt. Don't know if this is your normal policy to just list them under a generic name but if it is it should stop immediately. If it's not then your manager should have handled this much better than he did. And then to blame me as I walked out left a very poor taste in my mouth. I called your answering service and explained to a wonderful woman named Dawn what happened and she handled in the way that it should have been handled. She needs a raise. In the end the difference was only $20 or so and I would not have even bothered to have it changed because it's not enough to deal with all the paperwork. But this gentleman Lewis was a hair away from causing a fight in your store was very rude and dismissed me the entire time and then blamed everything on me as I walked out. Extremely poor service at this Salem NH location. I have been a customer for over a decade and given the experience of the last few visits my customer loyalty is seriously shaken. Really wondering if its worth it to go all the way to Salem to work with these folks. They used to be the best in the business but things have deteriorated. Here is what happened. I had a tire leaking air (losing about 10 psi in 2 days) and got an apptmt for Jan 2nd 2025 (tire was originally purchased at this Townfaire so flat repair is covered...supposedly!!). Went in with an appointment. They took a while but said they had to change a valve and charged me $12.50 for it. Fine...as long as the problem was fixed. Got the car back home and next morning it had lost 15 psi in a day. Called them back and got another appointment for Jan 8th 2025 and went in on time for the apptmt. They made me wait for 2 hrs and had still not taken the car into the bay when I finally ran out of time and asked for my keys back. The person assigned was the same for both visits and when at the 2 hr mark I asked for the keys back he got someone saying they can take it in!!! Anyway I had another apptmt so had to leave. It seems if the service is included and they are not charging they put you at the bottom of the queue with no SLA. Even their monitors that normally display the active work order and wait time were blank so you had no clue what they were doing. Anyways, really disappointed with a brand that has been the top on tires. Not sure if I can trust them anymore...certianly not this location until something changes. PS - I did ask for supervisor and he said I have to talk to him so bypassed any escalation. If Town Faire is interested to investigate I have relevant documentation. read more

Shelling out the money for new tires is not my favorite activity, especially during the week before Christmas. But, Greg (sales/service rep) made it the most pleasant experience. He's attentive, polite, great conversationalist and an all-around good guy. He asked about my budget and came in at nearly $100 less. Went in with my dually and they said they could do the tires and alignment after they did the tires they told me they couldn't do the alignment because the truck was too big. I would have gone to a different shop but they took my money and refused to finish the job. Now I'm driving with a crooked wheel and tires howling. Terrible service all the way around. First they say it's too wide then they say it's too long. Don't bring your truck here. Had my mechanic speak to them and they lied to him giving excuses on why they could but couldn't do the alignment and changed the story when speaking to the manager. I just purchased a brand new SUV & as I was driving home a message popped up that my tire pressure was low. It turned out that there was a major flat tire on my new vehicle. Michael & Kez were terrific. Kez informed me that this brand new tire needed total replacement & he marked the tire with chalk. Kez also changed the back left tire so that I could bring that tire back to the dealership which was covered by the dealership. Michael was awesome, very understanding & compassionate & did not charge me for this incident of bad luck. I am so thankful for guys like Michael & Kez. Had an issue with a recent visit but both the Store Manager and Store Owner made it right by quickly contacting me within the next day to resolve. That is class and very professional as you don't get that often and it tells me how much the management here cares about the customer. This store is conveniently located with plenty of parking. Check-in is easy and quick, if you are here first in the morning. Evening it may be a little wait if there is any backup. Suggest calling ahead if you come in later in the day to ask about wait times. Once you check in, go to the waiting area where you can see on the overhead TV your vehicle getting serviced. Also available is beverages and snacks, plus TV to watch. Certainly recommend this store over another that is near where I live. Also, getting a price quote over the phone was efficient. read more

Horrible service and deceitful business practices. I will never go back! I hate tire buying in general. It's such a sea of "free this", "free that", "buy 3 get 1 free" but they're all 34% marked up, low advertised price but $200 in fees, etc. Ultimately, I went with Town Fair for the "Lifetime Snow Changeover". I brought in my 2015 Audi SQ5 on 11/06/15 with 2,075 miles on it because it was delivered new with summer tires and I needed All Seasons as soon as the pavement froze. Again, I literally went here because of the promise of free changeovers. After I took the new tires, the balance was atrocious. The car shook violently at any speed over 55. A brand new Audi remember. So I had to take it back (to the Woburn location), to get my tires re-balanced and that was about the only part of this that went smoothly. Now it's July, and I'm back getting my summers put on. I was charged $42.50 and told "the free changeover is only if they are mounted on wheels". WTF? Why would I need somebody to install tires if they were already mounted on wheels. I also own a 2015 Audi S4 for which I have a devoted winter wheel/tire combo, and like anybody I just jack the car up and swap them as needed. I purposefully gave Town Fair my tire business because I thought my winter changeover would be seamless and inexpensive and boy was I cheated! read more

I absolutely dread doing anything related to cars. I find it annoying getting inspections, repairs, oil changes, car washes (lol) and especially changing tires. But my experience at Town Fair was fast, easy and painless. Their customer service is outstanding. I was greeted right away when I walked in. The sales associate came out and inspected the tires on my car. He then walked me around showing different options (the tires all looked the same to me lol) but I just wanted something that wasn't too pricy. I decided on four tires within ten minutes. The sales associate was very knowledgeable and didn't pressure me into paying for extra stuff. It wasn't busy at all and it only took them an hour to install them. They texted and called me when it was finished. They offer free tire rotations which is awesome. I highly recommend Town Fair for your tire needs. read more

Had them put on new tires. The tires were directional, and they were put on backwards. 2 months later when I'm getting an oil change, the mechanic notices this so I bring it back. They tell me 20 minutes to fix the issue, I come back 45 minutes later and they didn't even touch the car. All these guys do is tires and they can't do the job correctly, or on-time. read more

My experience here on July 19, 2017 was good, bad and ugly... The Good * The puncture in my tire was repaired at no charge. * The Wi-Fi signal during my wait was great. The Bad *The place was busy resulting in quite a wait, but there was no communication from the staff on how things were proceeding. * When I was called and my keys handed to me, there was no offer of an explanation on what repair had been made. The technician who did the repair had to be tracked down for the details. * Back at my car, I found the spare and wheel changing equipment had simply been thrown into the trunk. The Ugly * Seems the technician doing the repair still needs to learn about the lock nut used to prevent the wheel from being stolen. He had not applied it. * Despite my request to Justin that the tire pressure for all the tires be checked, this was not done. In addition, the repaired tire was seriously over inflated. Seems attention to detail at this branch of Townfaire Tire is sadly lacking. I won't be back. read more
