I needed a basic pedicure after a recent hip surgery and I tried North Lake for the first time. I believe the person assigned to me was named July. She was very efficient and checked in on how I liked things several times while she was working. She did a great job and the foot massage felt great . The place was clean and they use a liner in their foot baths, which I was glad to see . I would definitely return . Only complaint would be that I was charged the full $38 even though I had no nail polish applied but all in all it was a good experience read more

Pedicure was fine & shop was clean. However, during my pedicure the woman working on my feet was pointing at my feet and speaking to her coworker in another langue. She was clearly talking about my feet, talking to her coworker and pointing down at my feet. I stared at her thinking my attention would make her stop but she did it multiple times as her coworker walked by. I was embarrassed and uncomfortable. Will not return. read more

My best friend and I came here to get pedicures. She got a green tea natural pedicure and I got the lavender natural pedicure with shellac. The massage chairs were fantastic! I felt so relaxed. I went here today to get my current set removed and a new full set put on. I somehow cracked one of my nails, so I went in for a new set as I wanted the nails longer and a different shape. I normally go to a different salon, but my nail lady is only available Fri-Sun. I wanted to get ahead of the cracked nail before it potentially got worse. They sat me down in chair 7, where a lady named Van removed my nails. She did wonderful with removing them and was very gentle. I'd say 5 stars for the removal of my old set. She applied the tips to my fingers and I asked for very long. Only because I know I can adjust the nails shorter to my liking easier versus removing them to be longer. I had asked her to remove and reapply 2 of the tips as they were glued on crooked. The nails have a curve to them, so even shaping them correctly would have made the nails look weird. She soaked them off instead of ripping them off. Another 5 stars for that. She began shaping my nails and she did wonderfully with that as well. When she got to my other hand, I started to look at my nails to decide if I wanted them shorter. The nails on hand were not even to the pinky, so I wanted them to more proportionate. Before I had a chance to let her know, another lady had me move to her station, chair 8, where she'd finish them for me. So, at this point, I'm a bit confused and I tell that to the lady, and she asked me why I was confused. I told her I was curious why I was being moved. (I asked this, because moments prior, they were speaking in their language in front of me, and I had an idea they were talking about me). She then told me that Van had said I was being difficult. I, politely, asked how I was being difficult because I had barely said anything to Van as she was working on my nails. Mind you, I already have so much anxiety going to a new salon and I'm super OCD when it comes to my nails. I came here because a lot of people recommended this place, including a friend of mine. So, after she tells me what Van had said, I shut down and start crying out of frustration, humiliation, and me being uncomfortable. I almost just asked them to remove the tips and I was just going to leave. The lady in chair 8 apologized and said she used the wrong word and that Van was just nervous and didn't want to mess up my nails. Apparently she doesn't do long nails that often. The lady in chair 8 was very nice and asked how each nail looked after she filed and painted them. They look very nice. However, after making it home, I realized on both my ring fingers, the acrylic wasn't filed down enough to make a smooth apex and my OCD is starting to kick in. But, I don't want to go back and ask them to fix it, because I don't want to be a "difficult" customer. People go there and are paying for a service. If they don't like how something is being done and ask to have it corrected, then it should be corrected to the customers liking without the customer feeling bad about wanting their nails a certain way. I don't know if I'll be a returning customer. However, there were a couple things I did like about the salon. 1. The salon looked very clean and it smelled of incense. I did not smell any acrylic smell in the salon whatsoever. 2. I like the nail tips that they used. I like the curve to the nails giving it a more natural shape. read more

I went there a few weeks ago to get new acrylics put on. The nail tech was trying to pry them off with a tool and cut my finger so it was bleeding everywhere. A few fingers later, she did it again!! Finally they come off and the tech begins to do my cuticles and cut me 3 different times! By the time I was done, 4 fingers were bleeding and she even cured some of the blood into my new nails! My hands were so sore when Ieft, it was horrible! I will never go back. Friendly staff but terrible experience!! read more

I have been debating making a review......I originally went here due to the 4 star review but I have a way different opinion of this nail salon...Although the staff is nice and the appearance is clean the tools they use aren't. I went in for a pedicure and while getting it done the nail tech cut my cuticle to close to where a small amount of blood occurred the tech then tried to hide the fact that she hurt me like I wouldn't feel the pain never once said sorry. Since getting home (about 12 hours later ) my toe is continuing to ache/hurt. Go at your own risk. read more

I came in to relax and get a pedicure cause I've been extremely overwhelmed lately. Unfortunately the pedicure I received was extremely rushed and short. I really hoped looked forward to the massage which only ended up lasting about maybe one minute. For my entire pedicure I was only serviced for about 15 minutes. I feel like that's extremely quick and I would've liked to be able to enjoy myself a bit longer. Also the staff were being extremely loud in the back room, laughing and talking super loud making it really difficult to relax. $38 is definitely a lot for such a short service. I'll be looking for another salon to get pedicures at that can provide a relaxing experience. read more

Beautiful space and full staff. My experience was less than pleasant. I made an appointment and still waited about 30 minutes. I understand they were busy, I was very patient, it's a Saturday after all. My sister and I both got acrylics and were almost pressured to do shellac. I opted out because I didn't want to pay extra for it. The technician said she couldn't do the design a requested with regular polish. Again, I opted out, I went with classic white tips. Still unsatisfied with the work she did, I felt the tension build up. I asked for her to fix the color and I was still unsatisfied with the outcome. I was rushed out of my seat because they needed the seat for the next client. My sister's experience wasn't any better, her shape was ruined by the technician and the design was barely close to what she requested. Also, very over priced for the experience we had. read more

Do not go here! Was hoping to treat my MIL and myself to a mani pedi. Our experience was terrible. I asked for their signature mani and deluxe pedi which are supposed to be their "top of the line". No massage. No exfoliant. Nothing. All I got was the ax paraffin which I had to explicitly ask for. I had to even remind them to put actual a polish on my MILs hands and feet -- isn't that the most basic of what you do here at a nail salon?? Terrible service. They'd just walk away for long times during our service without a word. I had to ask for them to return for both of us to again get the most basic of services. Wasted my time and money. Do not recommend. I would demand a refund but know this is the type of business to not even oblige despite their failure in service. read more

Went to get gel polish changed. Was seen fast but when I said I only wanted my nails cut a little and almond shape she completely cut everything off and they were so short only round could be done. She didn't even know what almond shape was cause she was asking someone else. I ended up being displeased with it so much I decided not to get a new color. No manicure was done at all and just the polish and nail cut happened. Was charged much too high in my opinion and my nails look terrible and scratched up. Would find some place else that. Usually for me gel lasts at least a week without chipping, but on vacation while I was literally sitting around doing nothing, they chipped 2 days after getting them done. So disappointed! I got a shellac fill 4 HOURS ago and now they look like this! My other nails are also messy and lumpy. I have an interview in the AM:( I will be returning tomorrow. UPDATE: The manager reached out to me, fixed my nails the next day, and I am pleased with the results. My nail tech the day prior did not put a clear base coat or top coat, put thick polish and the uv light machine didn't properly dry my nails resulting in the mess seen in the original pictures. 8/5/20 - i decided to give this place a 2nd chance, I asked for a pedi/mani. Lee was my nail technician. He started with my basic pedicure with regular polish done under 10mins. Then while im sitting on the pedicure massage chair he decided to give me a half ass manicure....wait for it...... a 30 second nail filing and that was it. He charged me $35 and watching me put in my pin number and put his finger on the pad saying tip and again my dumbass after a long hard day at work i give him a $5 tip total came to $40 just for nothing!!! I can't believe i got ripped off and didn't say anything, usually im cray but today i was like not today satan not today... I have always have a pretty great experience. I work construction so I can't do fake nails but I like to get gel and have them painted crazy and fun designs. Wendy is always fast and does a good job at giving me something creative with gel polish. It's a very clean location but can get really busy - only down side. She is the owner and her name stood out to me in the reviews but all the ladies seem wonderful. The quality is just not there. I had two women do my nails, the first did a good job with the shape but man she was pretty harsh about filing down my nails- had to ask her twice to be more gentle. Then she had to leave to help another client (which I was not happy about but didnt say anything) & I ended up with one of the worst nail painting jobs Ive ever had. This other lady, I think her name was Kim, had to redo my nails 3 times & still did a terrible job. This wasnt anything fancy you guys, just a full set of acrylics with reg. polish. Michelle spent a good amount of time waxing and plucking to make sure it was done right and then she finished it off with a 2 minute brow massage. Got in quick even though they seemed super busy, and they didn't rush the service it was detailed and well done.

They did ok.. But nothing special here. I'm use to the really spending time on the calluses and the trimming but this one went through pretty fast and maybe took a whole minute to do both feet as far as calluses went. I showed them a pic of what I wanted and I don't expect them to nail it, in fact I do like it when they add there own personal touch but this one I'm not impressed with. I put pix in so you can see what I wanted and what I got. I'm not mad though it's a typical nail salon, just won't go back to this one.. She still got an E for effort and a small $8 tip.. I would have given$20 to the right person and a return customer for life.. But they look better then they did.. No bad days lol read more

It was 5:30 on a Thursday so I called ahead to see if they had an opening for a deluxe pedicure and polish change for my hands. She said it would be about 20 mins. I headed over to the location within that time frame. Sure enough, I picked out my nail polish color and they had me seated within 5 minutes. Fiona was my nail technician. She was quiet and kind. We bonded over her cute and unique shoes. She was nice and allowed me the quiet time to relax. She worked quickly and precisely. My deluxe pedicure included not only the extra paraffin wax, but a little hot stone massage as well. I'm attaching their service menu photos (current as of 7/20/17).
