Basic yet very expensive market located in Marina City. It certainly is convenient with it being closer to this than other places. North Loop Market has a few offerings but it's kind of limited too. Has a deli counter with a few things you can order fresh. The prices are pretty high even for around here to be honest. A place mainly for residents of Marina City. It's the honeycomb looking towers on the north side of the river. The market is located on the first floor and is open for the public too. Most notably there's a deli counter. This has Boar's Head products. All of these are gluten free. Grocery stuff includes breads and specialty items. Also there's basics. These include household cleaning supplies. Has good things but these cost too much. It's easy to find these cheaper in other places. The rich people living in these apartments though will be like the prices are okay and whatever. read more

Very close to our hotel, has everything you need and at reasonable prices. Boar'a Head cheeses are superb and great selection of wine.

Amazingly well stocked for a little market downtown. I was staying in a nearby hotel and visited this market. Clean and friendly staff. Prices were very reasonable. North Loop Market is bigger and better than a 7-11 but not quite as good as a "real" grocery store. It's also slightly farther from my place than 7-11 but not as far as a "real" grocery store (this is most likely not useful information for you). They have a lot of the pantry basics you might need, a good size frozen food section, the produce staples, wine and cheese, toiletries and house goods, booze, deli stuffs, bakery treats, soup, did I mention wine and cheese? North Loop Market is easy to find if you know where you're going. From either the Dearborn or State Street side of Marina Towers there's a lower level door to the, well, to the lower level. North Loop Market is right in the middle. I'm pretty sure North Loop Market is the only good thing about Marina Towers, but we can discuss my loathing for these Chicago architecture icons later. I live in Marina City, and the convenience of this store can't be beat! They have an awesome wine selection, as well as an extensive liquor and beer selection. They also have fresh fruit and a deli counter in addition to all the necessities like milk, eggs, medicine, paper products, etc. The staff members are all SO nice and friendly--I always feel so welcome any time I stop in for snacks. Great addition to Marina City! From the owners of South Loop Market, their 5th store is now open! Located in the lower level of Marina City. They have a great selection of Boar's Head deli meats and cheese and can whip you up a custom sandwich! I got a pastrami sandwich with Munster on Rye as suggested by one of the owners. It was fresh and delicious! They have a lot of yummy snacks including chips, popcorn, crackers, ice cream treats and a lot trendy cold drinks like kombucha. But they also carry some pantry staples, pasta, pasta sauce, oatmeal, honey, Peanut butter, bread, salad dressing, coffee tea and a large frozen food section. They cary a bit of fresh produce which I'm sure changes but today included peppers, celery, broccoli, asparagus, baby carrots, mushrooms, lettuce. There is also a small cooler with with hummus, prepared dips, cheese and everyones favorite breakfast meat, bacon! They also carry and a handful of personal items like toothpaste. Super convenient if you live in Marina Towers or nearby. There's a Jewel Osco nearby with lower prices, but when I need just a few things, this place usually has it. Great for snacks and sandwiches too. And just generally a nice atmosphere. read more

Googled "liquor store" from riverwalk and North Loop Market popped up. Took us a hell of a time to try and find it, but glad we did. A perfect spot to stop and pick out a bottle of chilled sparkling wine. A nice selection of foods and beverages that gives a higher-end feel. The North Loop Market is accessible from Hotel Chicago, where they charge $8 for a small bottle of water in the hotel. Luckily, I spotted some signs and made my way down to the fitness center, and through two sets of doors, and found the market. Prices are very reasonable -- I got three giant smart waters, a large ginger ale, and a package of cookies to snack on for $12. They also had frozen items, booze, etc. Friendly, good selection, can't recommend strongly enough, especially if you're staying in Hotel Chicago. read more

I live in Marina City and have relied heavily on this market for groceries, sundries, and food during COVID, as well as before and afterward. The service is great and friendly, the store is well-stocked with just about everything I need (there are small exceptions, like bacon bits and chow mein noodles), their beer/wine/booze selection is excellent and eclectic, and the deli sandwiches and soups are outstanding. Right after paying for a salad I accidentally dropped it and the packaging opened on the floor. The employee said they would "be willing to clean up the mess" but I would have to buy another salad if I wanted to eat. Wow! I know it was my fault for dropping it, but this was shockingly bad customer service. Most places would've offered to replace it, that is the kind of treatment that makes someone want to come back. With North Loop Market, you take what they give you and you like it. I'm a Marina Towers resident and everyday visitor. For instance, green grapes are irregularly present, blackberries come and go in freshness, sometimes they just don't have any chocolate muffins and that's life. But what they lack in consistency they make up for in diligence -- open till 10pm, open on Memorial Day, things like that. I'm also unsure whether NLM offers competitive prices as it's by far the most convenient store for me and I'd willingly pay more for it. The guys who run the store are not unfriendly, not overreaching, which is great. $5 credit card minimum. The ATM machine charges $3 fee for cash access. North Loop also sells a good variety of liquor, hard, wine, beer, and mixers. My favorite of their offerings is the baked goods; all from local bakeries, the muffins are very soft (banana walnut & chocholate are especially good, you can microwave for 30 seconds to make them even softer), the cakes and croissants hail from Alliance bakery nearby and are delicious as well. FYI I usually get very poor if not zero phone connection here. read more

The sandwiches are fire. It's always fire. I order a sandwich at the Boars Head deli counter several times a week and they always crush it. Usually get the Ruben but had a Hot Roast Beef with giardinera, horseradish sauce and melted provolone. It's so good I wrote this review. read more

This place is great, friendly staff, and excellent selection of food, wine, beer, and necessities. Prices are a little more than a CVS or wallgreens but you can't beat the location if you live in MC. Two suggestions: have more items on sale or specials. Ex: I'd buy more Gatorade if sometimes it was 2 for $3 or Id buy more beer if it was $2 off on Thursdays or whatever. Also if you guys sold cases of water for $5 or $6 i think a lot of people would buy because the biggest barrier to doing that now if you live in MC is having to transport from jewel or wherever.
