MARCH 2020, Pandemic came and i moved in the oak cliff.. I became a regular costumer of this vino shop.. Even though they had not so good selection nor ideeas of their inveory.. Amators..! 2021 came and still a costumer.. Until last Friday when they tow my car. I went for a walk thinking i will return in a few minutes to buy vino.. I come in here for my favorite 10% alcohol cocktail in a can. First off I can't find these 2-3 brands anywhere else and second, the price is un-beatable, and third the two different guys than man the counter are always courteous and knowledgeable. Also the area is one of my favorites in DFW. If you are looking to wet your whistle and want something in particular then don't hesitate for a minute to give this shop a try! After a week in NOLA, I was craving more of their Abita Amber brew. Tom Thumb and the beer stores in Oak Cliff didn't carry it, but my bf suggested I try one last place. North OC Beer came in clutch--they had 3 variations of Abita which the clerk says they keep in rotation. They also carry a vast array of local DFW craft beer selections. My current fave is Neato Bandito which I fell in love with at the State Fair. My 6 pack did cost $11 which is kind of high, but it's fine for a special treat. read more

I am so happy to have this friendly, well-stocked beer store in my neighborhood. It's a pretty small space, but the guys who own this have done an incredible job at stocking it with high-quality, harder-to-find craft beer & wine. They've been having beer tastings every other Saturday or so -- it's a great chance to get to know them, their beers and others from the neighborhood. Last Saturday they also had a cupcake sampler. I ran in there one afternoon to pick up some ginger beer for mules. They didn't have a selection and I asked if the one they did have was good. He was polite and empathetically said, "It's good! If you don't like it you can bring it back." Instead of leaving to find one at Tom Thumb, I believed him and purchased it. At home the taste was very strong and skunky. Too busy to go back before our dinner party I set it aside. The next week I took it back in the store and explained it wasn't to our taste. He looked at me sideways. I reminded him about our conversation. He said he wasn't taking it back and proceeded to argue with me about it. I finally just left the crap on his counter and walked out. Also their wine selection is sub par...your best bet for good wine is actually at Dan Food Store down the street. We still call it Dan not Dan's because #oakcliff. read more

Upon first glance, North Oak Cliff Beer & Wine to offer much class and character, being located next to Urban Acres. I was let down, with the wine selection being limited, the beer being extremely overpriced, and the overall lack of inviting individuals running the joint. Specifically, I asked how much a couple of beers were and was received with pretty short answers. Then, I did not so much as get a "good bye" upon leaving, though being the only customer in the establishment. The brews are more unique than your typical liquor store, but the pricing is still more steep than I would like. I hail from the Austin beer scene, so it is nice seeing some HIll Country and Central Texas favorites--Jester King and Adelbert's. They also emphasize Clown Shoes. I was not very cared for here, but I might come back if I find my way in the OC and need a way of obtaining some microbrew to satiate my booze appetite. read more

Great place! Good selection of beer and wine at reasonable prices. But, there are two things I hope management can fix. 1. Why is there a tip line on the credit card receipt? This is not a restaurant. It's a shop. I don't pay tips at 7-11 or Tom Thumb. Even Cheese & Chutney down the street where they give samples and walk you through your selection of cheese or wine does not ask for tips. I zero out the line but then I feel bad. I am buying less at this store because of this. 2. They should price their merchandise. Most of the bottles of wine are not priced. If you ask, they are friendly and will give you the price, but if the price is too high for my budget that day, I have to take it back and feel like some cheapskate. This is an easy fix, I think. read more

Uh! Yes please!!! I stopped in one night and I met Josh Deleon, such a super cool friendly guy! Loved all of the beer selection and great prices!! Most of all I love that it's super local and they also deliver with a 25 minimum purchase, WIN!!!! So get on I here and work out your liver with their lovely selections of beer! Did you know the liver can actually regenerate itself?!? So come on, give it a work out!!! Alright, so cirrhosis of the liver is not funny, but you catch my drift!!! read more

This place is a north OakCliff gem! Are you tired of going to places to buy wine and the people know nothing about wine? Me too. That is the opposite of what you get here. The owners are a pair of brothers that are just cool and very knowledgable about wine, beer or any type of spirits. And they are so friendly and determined to help you. This is one of my happy places. I send as many folks here as possible. Amazing beer selection and if you are looking for something specific that you don't see in the cooler, then ASK because they have overflow products in the back. When you go into the store, the wine section looks like an afterthought. There are not a massive number of options from which to choose. BUT, everything that I have purchased has been exceptional. The type of exception that brings you back to the store to buy some more of that specific wine. I have found the exact same wine that you can buy here for $20 on sale at Whole Foods for $23. One of the reviews below mentioned that they don't always timely open. They are open on Sunday (because they sell only beer and wine, no hard liquor). I went over straight from church (don't judge) and at 12:05 the door was locked but the open sign was lit. I simply knocked until I got the attention of the guy stocking.
