This Dojo is like a fresh breathe of mountain air- I can 'breathe' again. I was brand new to Mixed Martial Arts two months ago. I came in here: looking to take my self defense skills to the next level, get in better shape, become more cultured, and who knows, maybe meet a new friend. Before I forget, thanks Richie, for putting me onto this place! I can honestly say now that the universe truly guided me here. CSW in Fullerton Is the best thing that's happened to me, ..in I don't know how many years. Not only am I in the best shape of my life, I'm just becoming a better person, in general. Sensei not only showed me How to better handle myself (in case something pops off') He introduced me to: meditation, More confidence, great people, and knowledge That literally you can't find on the Internet... I'm serious, crazy right!...I'm talking about stuff of legends, techniques and knowledge that was till now, only passed down orally from MMA's Creators. I'll keep it short... I'm becoming the best version of me every single day now, even the days that I don't come to train at CSW. I recommend Trying out CSW for a week for free to anybody, From kids to senior citizens. There's no place like it in orange county. Come see for yourself, I'll shut up now . #GRATEFULASF

My son has been training here for two years and let me tell you this is been one of the best decisions we've made. The people we have met here are spectacular kind friendly and the coaches are phenomenal, sensei Paulson is a fantastic coach and his wife Tonya is so kind and welcoming and makes you feel at home. and I am proud to say my son trains under him. Jiujitsu wrestling mma Kali kick boxing catch wrestling csw has it. Check them out!!!

CSW is family! When I just moved to California, I checked out a lot of mma gyms. For what I was looking for was a place where I could progress as a fighter and become part of a family. You'll know what I'm talking about when you first walk in csw, you instantly feel like you're home. Now, If you want to go pro, Erik Paulson and the other coaches here have all the skill and networks to get you there. There are a lot of world class fighters that come through here just to take a session with Erik. He's been around the business for years, and can really give you that unique edge. Now if you don't want fight and you're a woman like me, they offer cardio kickboxing. And just recently a women's grappling class that is so much fun and you learn a lot. Mondays at 6:30, try a free class. There are people there of all ages and it's a really good atmosphere. So ok I've wrote a lot but only because I really really love it here and have tried all the other gyms. From the people to the world class training you really can't go wrong by trying a week here and seeing if it's your fit!

Met one of the instructors through a mutual friend he told us to bring the kids down to see if they like it no obligation, so we did and our son loved it, my daughter wanted to sign up for the snacks only. It's been about 2 months now and I love this place watching how well all the instructors work with the kids and the level of respect everyone has for each other and the equipment this place is always very clean and always smells good. My son loves it and he always leaves with a smile. Gerry0625

This review has been long overdue, and I'm so glad I finally had the chance to write it…read more About a year ago, I decided I wanted my boys to start jiu-jitsu. As a mom, I believe it's so important for children to learn basic self-defense not because I expect something bad to happen, but because I want them to have the confidence and skills to protect themselves if they ever need to. At first, my boys were nervous and intimidated. We visited a few schools before making a decision, but from the moment we walked into Teragi, we knew this place was different. Everyone made us feel like family. The professors and coaches are exceptional not only because of their experience and skill, but because they genuinely care about every child. They encourage, support, and meet each child where they are. I especially want to mention my youngest. Jiu-jitsu didn't come naturally to him at first, and he struggled to understand the techniques. The professors and coaches were incredibly patient and never made him feel like he was behind. They allowed him to learn at his own pace, and now it's amazing to see how much his confidence and skills have grown. That patience meant so much to our family. There's no pressure for kids to be the best. Every child learns differently, and the professors and coaches truly understand that. Since we homeschool, Teragi has become more than just a place to train. My boys have made wonderful friendships, and we've found an incredible community. I also have to mention how clean the academy is! It never has that old gym smell and is always welcoming. I've watched both of my boys grow not only physically, but mentally and emotionally. They're more confident, disciplined, and respectful. If you're on the fence about jiu-jitsu because you don't like the idea of your child being on the ground, I completely understand. I felt the same way. But the reality is that many real-life self-defense situations end up on the ground, and knowing what to do can make all the difference. Thank you, Teragi, for creating such an incredible environment for our children. We are so grateful to be part of the Teragi family, and I couldn't recommend this academy more.

The owners, professors, and coaches have cultivated a superb gym culture. This gym is safe, friendly, and supportive. The facility is modern and clean, and they've invested in a foam block subfloor beneath the mats for softer landings. As far as I know, this is the only gym in the area that offers women-only classes four times per week and a bi-monthly community open mat for gentlemen 40 years and older. My kids train here after school 4-5 days a week, and they love it. The kids' professors and coaches are experienced and amazing teachers. I'm especially thankful for the young coaches who were so patient and kind to my boys when they were hesitant and shy after first starting. And my pocketbook is especially thankful for the discounted rates for additional family members. If you're looking for a place where the whole family can train, grow, and feel welcome, I can't recommend Teragi highly enough.

Bottom Line Up Front: I give this gym 5 out of 5 stars --…read moreand that says a lot because I've been training in martial arts since 1995 and am a certified instructor in multiple systems. But let me break it down as to why it gets my seal of approval. What You'll Learn: Rounders offers multiple martial arts: Boxing, Muay Thai (kickboxing), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kali (a Filipino knife-fighting system), and Mixed Martial Arts (which combines striking, wrestling, and Jiu-Jitsu). In the past they have also offered wrestling and Judo. So there's something for everyone. Regardless of what class you pick, you'll learn how to protect yourself while getting a great workout. What You'll Gain: Like I mentioned, you'll get a killer workout in a safe and fun environment. According to some studies, you could burn anywhere between 300 to 800 calories in a single 1-hour kickboxing class. It's far more efficient (and fun!) than running on a treadmill. And the added bonus is that you'll learn self-defense along the way. Who You'll Meet: From co-owner Joe Kim to all the other instructors, the coaches here are physically talented, knowledgeable, and easy-going despite being deadly warriors. They create a positive atmosphere so that everyone -- from brand new rookies to combat sports veterans -- has fun while learning. And that trickles down through to the students, who are all supportive and welcoming. The Space: The gym is medium-ish in size compared to other gyms in the area; enough to hold one large group or two smaller sessions at the same time. The equipment is top notch. And the workout space is well maintained. There's also a small section for weight training, too. The Cost: I've visited other gyms with outrageous prices (like $200 a month for only Jiu-Jitsu!). Fortunately, tuition here is reasonably priced -- with options to drop-in, go month-to-month, or commit to 6 months or a full year. (The latter two doesn't mean you have to pay upfront, just that you'll be charged automatically for your chosen time frame and save more over the long term.) And considering those options give you unlimited classes for all of the martial arts classes, Rounders is totally worth it. Conclusion: Rounders MMA Fullerton is an ideal gym to join, whether you're looking to lose weight, learn some self-defense, or just belong to a cool community who will encourage and grow with you.

My girls were so excited to start, they thought they had class the week before. They couldn't wait to put on their uniforms and be actual students in class. Each time we go to class, I am simply amazed at how great Master Yoo and Master Y are with the kids. Master Yoo promotes respect for self and others, and does it with so much grace. Even though the yelling out/battle crys/ and paddle slapping is very loud and alarming at times, it really gets the kids in focus mode. This is definitely a great way to release some pent up frustration/anger/or just get all that antsy energy out in a positive environment. I have sat in larger classes where black belt student helpers act as assistant demonstrators/instructions for the lower belt levels. They all have a cool and calm demeanor and really do a great job being role models to those who are just learning. I truly hope my girls get to that level one day. So far in class, they have worked on different lower body and upper body moves, along with balancing. Master Yoo always tries to spook the kids mid way to see if they are actually focused. I find it quite entertaining to what how he teaches. He reminds me of an animated cartoon character but in human form. My girls really his funny expressions but have also learned to focus when it is necessary. On 7/28/26, they got to break a wooden board (2 boards for $5 or 1 for $3). My girls did a smashing job and loved every minute of it. The girls have only been doing 2 classes per week since 7/13/26 and I already see a lot of improvements. I have encountered so my friends of their who took TKD before, and did not having raving reviews like I do about TEMA. They truly know what they're doing and care about their students. Truly professionals. If anyone is interested in TKD for their kids, please give them a try. You seriously have nothing to lose and everything to gain. This has been a great experience for both myself and my girls. We are so blessed to have great Masters guiding us in this journey. I've casually tried other Muay Thai gyms in the past, but they often suggested bag classes for women. Here you can choose from a variety of classes and there's an emphasis on both getting a good workout and learning the form of each movement. As a person with massive social anxiety because I'm definitely not a fast learner, I'm always worried when doing group classes and partner drills that I'm slowing people down. However, I've never taken a class here where I've felt judged by anyone. Everyone from the coaches to the other students are always super supportive and encouraging. There's a culture of students helping each other while coaches make sure everyone of all skill levels is being challenged. You also have the option of doing private training.
