North Park Mazda is easily located on San Pedro just north of 410. It's a beautiful showroom, the staff are professional and friendly. ZOOM-ZOOM your way to North Park Mazda for your next new car.

Last minute appointment to get the battery replaced. Nice view of the service bays from the customer waiting area.

Note: This rating is specifically for their Service Department. When the battery for my Mazda3 started going out, they got me in that very day! I came in and they had me back on the road in 2 hours. Very impressive for a last-minute repair/replacement. The waiting area is very nice; there's complimentary snacks, water, and soda (though the only non-breakfast snack food were bags of Funyons, yuck). However the chairs and couches are comfortable and you can get a great view of the repair bay while waiting. And yes, they have free WiFi.

Gary, my sales person exceeded my expectations. He was personable, funny, and super knowledgeable. He made the process so quick and easy! I was hesitant to go in because I hate how long buying a car can take, but I was in an out within two hours. Both Gary and Chris (finance) were excellent to work with. If you're considering going to this dealership, I highly recommend you ask for Gary. He took great care of me, and I absolutely love my new Mazda CX5. :)

While Ms. Chanti was assisting me, she noticed there was a recall on my vehicle related to an issue I had already experienced before the recall was officially posted. She took the time to explain how I could contact Honda and possibly be reimbursed for the repair -- which was a significant amount and greatly appreciated. She also informed me about an updated part that needed to be installed, and the team completed that while finishing my routine maintenance. In a short amount of time, everything was completed and my vehicle was fully updated. I was extremely impressed with everyone's professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail. The free coffee, comfortable waiting area, and outdoor seating were also a nice touch. The team at Gunn Honda is outstanding, and I always look forward to having a positive experience there. Special thanks to Ms. Chanti for truly going above and beyond for the customers.

I recently purchased a used Honda from Gunn Honda after my previous vehicle was totaled in an…read moreaccident. Since buying another car wasn't planned, I was working within a very specific budget and appreciated that the initial representative who contacted me by phone and text was friendly and responsive. However, once I shared my budget, I felt like the level of communication changed. When I was ready to visit the dealership, I was handed off to another salesperson who was kind, but seemed unprepared and unfamiliar with my situation. I was also surprised that their system still contained personal information from more than 10 years ago that had not been verified or updated before my visit. One thing I did appreciate was their large selection of used Hondas. I've owned Hondas my entire life, so I felt comfortable shopping there. I also liked their "one-price" sales model, although it does mean there's little to no room for negotiation. My biggest concern involved the financing process. We arrived with a pre-approval from our credit union and made it very clear what our maximum budget was, including taxes and fees. We were encouraged to let the dealership submit our application to multiple lenders to see if they could beat our financing. Later, we learned from our credit union that Gunn Honda had submitted the application for approximately $10,000 more than the amount we were originally approved for. Naturally, those applications were denied, and we were then encouraged to finance through a different lender at a much higher loan amount and monthly payment. That experience left us feeling like our stated budget wasn't being respected. Thankfully, we stayed with our credit union and were still able to purchase a vehicle that was only slightly above our original target. As a woman shopping for a vehicle, I also felt discouraged from asking questions. Since this was a used car, I wanted to understand the inspection process, ask about the tires, and discuss the minor damage that appeared on the vehicle history report. Instead of feeling like my questions were welcomed, I felt as though I had to justify why I wanted that information. Purchasing a vehicle is a major investment, and every buyer deserves to feel comfortable asking questions without feeling dismissed. Once we decided to purchase the vehicle, the paperwork moved surprisingly fast, which I appreciated. I also liked that I received permanent license plates the same day instead of temporary paper tags. That said, the overall delivery experience felt a little underwhelming. It seemed like once the paperwork was signed, the excitement ended. I've purchased vehicles from other dealerships where they took a little extra time to make the experience feel special like making sure the vehicle was spotless, celebrating the purchase, or simply showing more appreciation for earning a customer's business. While the detail department did end up filling the gas tank, it initially sounded like that wasn't even guaranteed, which left a poor impression. Overall, my experience was okay. There were definitely positives, including the inventory selection and efficient closing process. However, I believe Gunn Honda could improve communication, better respect customers' financial boundaries, make buyers feel more comfortable asking questions, and put a little more care into the overall customer experience. As someone who has been a loyal Honda owner for many years, I was hoping to leave feeling excited about my purchase instead of simply relieved that the process was over.

We negotiated a fair price, and then I moved on to finance. The finance manager was also very pleasant and professional. I wish the process had been a bit faster, but I eventually drove off in my 'new-to-me' Tundra. The only issue with the truck was a cracked windshield. All in all, everything turned out great and I'm very happy!

Terrible Experience - They Talked Themselves Out of a $68,000 Sale…read moreI walked into this dealership ready to buy and had a pristine 2020 Nissan Rogue to trade in. Unfortunately, the sales team completely blew the deal. They refused to offer anything more than the absolute cash value on my trade-in. I understand dealerships need to make money on trades, but I don't need a lecture about it. My job was to bring them a quality vehicle; their job was to figure out how to make a profit. I was willing to move forward, but their rigid "take it or leave it" stance made it clear I was better off walking. When I told the salesman I was leaving, he literally said, "Go ahead and walk away." So I did. I got in my Rogue and left without looking back. Later that evening around 7 PM, the salesman texted me asking if I had ended up buying a car yet. The very next day, I went to another dealership. They immediately offered me $13,000 on the trade (significantly more than what was offered here), knocked $1,500 off the price, and didn't push any dealer add-ons. I drove away happy in my new vehicle on May 1st with zero hassle. This dealership single-handedly lost a $68,000 sale because they wouldn't budge even slightly on the trade-in. If you're trading in a vehicle and expect fair value, look elsewhere. Very disappointed. They did turn the super loud music down. It was bothering me very badly by the time I came back in to talk to the guys so that was a plus at least they thought about me for a little bit then, as soon as I start walking away, the music got turned right back up, so that was kind of disrespectful.

Shame on me for not taking down the gentleman's name, but her advised the battery was still under warranty for another month. Kindly made me an appointment for today-Monday. I show up, and upon intake I get quoted $100 for battery diagnostic. Apparently since the battery was replaced under warranty it only had a limited warranty of 1yr and a certain amount of miles. I drove all the way across town just to turn right back around. Really should be careful of what y'all say over the phone so you set proper expectations Service department let me down yet again. Only thing I appreciated is that Jorge De Los Santos was transparent before the took my traverse back. Unlike David Baker three years ago.

Instead, we left without buying anything due to our experience with the salesperson, M. I've never encountered a salesperson who was so focused on talking about herself rather than listening to the customer. Instead of asking questions about our needs, budget, or preferences, the conversation repeatedly shifted to her personal life. We heard extensive details about her relationship, children, marital status, and even stories about purchasing two vehicles in one day to "work around" the banking system. None of this was relevant to our vehicle purchase. What was most frustrating was that she seemed more interested in convincing us to make the same choices she had made rather than understanding what was important to us. When we expressed preferences that differed from hers, she appeared visibly frustrated and dismissive. It felt less like a professional sales consultation and more like a one-sided conversation centered entirely on her. The disappointing part is that I was approved for the vehicle and fully capable of completing the purchase. However, the lack of professionalism, poor listening skills, and uncomfortable sales approach completely changed our minds. Buying a vehicle is a major decision, and customers deserve to feel heard, respected, and valued. We left genuinely surprised that a dealership would allow this type of customer interaction. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we will not be returning and will be taking our business elsewhere.
