She took the time to explain how I could contact Honda and possibly be reimbursed for the repair -- which was a significant amount and greatly appreciated. She also informed me about an updated part that needed to be installed, and the team completed that while finishing my routine maintenance. In a short amount of time, everything was completed and my vehicle was fully updated. I was extremely impressed with everyone's professionalism, customer service, and attention to detail. Been here a few times and my recent visit was a poop show! I came for my usual oil change and got Albert. He recommended all these services to me without even checking my service history. He also recommended an alignment based solely on the look of my tires. I asked the technician if he could at least test my alignment to know for sure. Come to find out that I didn't need an alignment I told Albert that I didn't trust him and he stressed that he was "a Christian," which means absolutely nothing to me. If you gotta tell someone that you're something it usually means that you're not. At the end of my transaction, Albert gave me a white doll that says, "Jesus loves me." Completely inappropriate. I recently purchased a used Honda from Gunn Honda after my previous vehicle was totaled in an accident. Since buying another car wasn't planned, I was working within a very specific budget and appreciated that the initial representative who contacted me by phone and text was friendly and responsive. However, once I shared my budget, I felt like the level of communication changed. When I was ready to visit the dealership, I was handed off to another salesperson who was kind, but seemed unprepared and unfamiliar with my situation. I was also surprised that their system still contained personal information from more than 10 years ago that had not been verified or updated before my visit. One thing I did appreciate was their large selection of used Hondas. I've owned Hondas my entire life, so I felt comfortable shopping there. I also liked their "one-price" sales model, although it does mean there's little to no room for negotiation. My biggest concern involved the financing process. We arrived with a pre-approval from our credit union and made it very clear what our maximum budget was, including taxes and fees. We were encouraged to let the dealership submit our application to multiple lenders to see if they could beat our financing. Later, we learned from our credit union that Gunn Honda had submitted the application for approximately $10,000 more than the amount we were originally approved for. Naturally, those applications were denied, and we were then encouraged to finance through a different lender at a much higher loan amount and monthly payment. That experience left us feeling like our stated budget wasn't being respected. Thankfully, we stayed with our credit union and were still able to purchase a vehicle that was only slightly above our original target. As a woman shopping for a vehicle, I also felt discouraged from asking questions. Since this was a used car, I wanted to understand the inspection process, ask about the tires, and discuss the minor damage that appeared on the vehicle history report. Instead of feeling like my questions were welcomed, I felt as though I had to justify why I wanted that information. Purchasing a vehicle is a major investment, and every buyer deserves to feel comfortable asking questions without feeling dismissed. Once we decided to purchase the vehicle, the paperwork moved surprisingly fast, which I appreciated. I also liked that I received permanent license plates the same day instead of temporary paper tags. That said, the overall delivery experience felt a little underwhelming. It seemed like once the paperwork was signed, the excitement ended. I've purchased vehicles from other dealerships where they took a little extra time to make the experience feel special like making sure the vehicle was spotless, celebrating the purchase, or simply showing more appreciation for earning a customer's business. While the detail department did end up filling the gas tank, it initially sounded like that wasn't even guaranteed, which left a poor impression. Overall, my experience was okay. There were definitely positives, including the inventory selection and efficient closing process. However, I believe Gunn Honda could improve communication, better respect customers' financial boundaries, make buyers feel more comfortable asking questions, and put a little more care into the overall customer experience. As someone who has been a loyal Honda owner for many years, I was hoping to leave feeling excited about my purchase instead of simply relieved that the process was over. read more

Took my a Honda in for oil & filter change. Adrian was my service rep. Used Express Lane but no one came out to greet or welcome me. I had to go in & look for someone to speak to. Adrian offered to help me. After speaking with me, wrote up request and got vin & mileage. Worked with me on cost bc mainly there for oil/filter chg. It was about an hour after giving Adrian the keys and car where I left it. I texted him, then received text saying it just got taken in. In the end all good, but feel that there could be better customer service upon arrival to dealership as well as communication during delays. Sales room experience was good purchased a new Honda Pilot June 2024. The service department is horrible. Traveled there a couple times for just an oil change. Didn't have hours to wait for a Simple service and had to return and leave the vehicle. Then a recall, made appointment 9:00 arrived early and was told it took 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hours for the update. Talked to service manager he lied to my face repeated what the customer service person stated 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hours. Honda sent me another notice of recall it stated right on the notice "approximately 20 minutes to complete ". Yelp reviews warned about the service department at Gunn Honda. I just left after getting a refund for a '25 CRV Sport Touring Hybrid. I'm giving two stars for availability and location, the poor rating is because of shady practices that ultimately led to me never taking delivery and getting refunded my down payment. I spent weeks researching and comparing crossovers and small SUVs. I whittled down my choices to the NX350 and the CRV Sport Touring Hybrid and ultimately decided on the latter because of price, low mileage (2), distance to my home for future service appts, and because I felt the salesperson, Marshall, was engaging but not overbearing. I put a down payment on the vehicle on 23 Dec and left it at the dealership to be tinted and have black emblems and lower trim lit installed. I was told the car was ready on the evening of the 24th. I went against my better judgment that taking delivery of a vehicle after dark wouldn't allow me to see any cosmetic issues. However, a defect in the tint was visible even in the dark. I told Marshall I would return after Christmas and allowed them to fix that issue even though I had already started paying insurance on the vehicle the evening prior. I was told the vehicle was ready on the 26th and asked Marshall to "go over the vehicle with a fine tooth comb," which he assured me he did. This time, we were able to inspect it in broad daylight and saw multiple defects in the tint where it was applied over hairs and fibers. Additionally, instead of installing the lower trim kit I paid $769 for, they wrapped the part in black vinyl, which is clearly not worth nearly $769. Marshall told me they "were trying something different," but clearly, their "something different" is scamming people out of their money instead of giving them what they paid for. I told Marshall I would return one more time and either leave with the car as contracted or with a refund. He assured me it would be done correctly. I contacted him today, 27 Dec, and asked for an update. He replied with images of the correctly installed lower passenger side trim with a new gash in the plastic trim, but he said the driver's side trim wouldn't be in until tomorrow. I told him to tell a manager I would be there in 30 min to get a refund. I had to wait in the lobby for 10 minutes to speak to "Tim," but then I was rerouted to Gabriel, who attempted to convince me to reconsider. Never once did Tim, in whose office we were talking to Gabriel, show his face. The offer of a year of free car washes was laughable, considering the shady and disrespectful way they dealt with me. I left with my $5k refunded, and Honda can deal with buying out the contract with Honda Finance. Off I go to look for another car. Needless to say, I don't recommend Gunn Honda. read more

I called to get an appointment for an oil change. I was told that they haven't been busy all week and that I could go through the express oil change. So I drove there, told them what I needed, and sat waiting for them to finish for TWO hours. When I paid, I was told that the tires were all in good shape and everything was fine. The next day I took my car into Discount Tire for a tire rotation. I was told that my spare tire was getting old and that all three of my windshield wiper blades were torn. Why didn't Gunn Honda discover these things that needed replacement? read more

I had defected wiper when I brought it in , when I went home found out same defected wiper is there , they did not change any thing . I came to the service department to have a recall taken care of first for my car and then for my husband's car. This was a little further for me, but I had called another service department at a different dealership and I kept getting the runaround and Gunn Honda took my call and made an appointment as quickly as possible. They used to have free donuts and snacks. Now they just have coffee and I think tea and water. I chose to wait for my car and the weight wasn't so bad since it was a TV on and I did come prepared with a book. The atmosphere was really great but the service I received from Robert in the bronze team was excellent. He was very friendly and courteous and explained to me what they were going to do and kept me posted on the status of my vehicle. They did such a great job that I went ahead and made the appointment for my husband's vehicle since he had a recall on his as well. I would've given them five stars if they still had the free donuts and snacks, but I did come prepared the second time around. I most definitely will be using them again if I ever need to for my service on all my vehicles. read more

Let's start off with them not putting enough oil during a routine oil change. I brought my Honda accord in for service and they said sir your oil levels are abnormally low. I said well I'm not overdue in fact I'm early and they said it was problem with my engine. I said OR you all didn't put enough engine oil last time. They asked me to bring it back after 1000 miles to see if it was the engine or not enough oil. It turned out it wasn't enough oil. It gets better. Then upon a multi point inspection they gave me false information that Fernandez Honda and Hill Country Honda said was cautionary not immediate. Gunn Honda said my low ball joints were very worn and bad requiring immediate service, $900 service. I took it into hill country Honda and Fernandez Honda and they said it was fine but would need attention in the future (just like any car part) My Point: They just want your money here. Gunn Honda review I'm not particularly prone to writing reviews unless services are exceptionally good or poor. This is the first time I've ever written a review of a car dealership. I recently purchased a used Honda Odyssey van from Gunn Honda. This is the first time I've made a purchase with them. I discovered the vehicle on car guru and made a text inquiry. Zvaid (ZEE) Gelashvili quickly responded to my inquiry. The vehicle already had a potential buyer but nonetheless, he answered all my questions. I later went by to look at the vehicle just in case the first potential buyer sales did not go through. Essentially, I showed up without any notice, I texted Zee when I arrived, and he quickly met me out in the lot. We then looked for the vehicle and it was undergoing maintenance. It was still not clear whether or not the first potential buyer was going to go through with the deal. Zee indicated that he would let me know that evening or the next day if the vehicle would be available. He did exactly that as well as sending me additional information such as the Car Fax and other details. I honestly have not experienced anyone at a car dealership as professional and responsive as he was (I am 71 years old and have purchased many vehicles) and had yet to encounter this level of service for a potential sale that might not go through. When the other potential buyer sales did not go through Zee let me know and I went out and test drove the vehicle. He indicated that there was one other item that would need to be done on the vehicle (because of a manufacturer recall). We then took the vehicle for a test drive and I indicated that I wanted to see how it would do on a hill since the Honda odyssey's have reportedly had some potential issues with the transmission -so we went quite a bit out of the way of a normal test drive and the vehicle did great. I decided to go ahead and purchase it. After the purchase, Zee continued in his responsiveness to all my additional questions, and this included receipts for any of the warranty work that had been done. I also met Patrick Ford as I completed the purchase. He also contributed to an overall, simply refreshing experience. At no point was there any pressure to purchase other services or change the agreed-upon price -even though additional work was being performed on the vehicle. To top this off, I needed the vehicle delivered to my house. ZEE personally delivered it to me after the vehicle had been finally detailed. Again, this is the first time that I have ever done a review on an auto dealership or individuals in the dealership that I have worked with. Honestly, when I leave, I'm very unlikely to remember who I dealt with a week afterwards. For starters, we'd already had a bad experience when trying to buy a car for myself (we ended up doing business elsewhere for an amazing deal on the same car), but we decided to give it another shot with a car for my boyfriend. We wanted to test drive a Honda Passport, but when we stated we would be buying a car in the next six months, the salesman asked "why would you test drive it now if you're not even going to buy it?" as well as "why would I take time out of my day to let you drive it if you're not going to do business here?" I bought a brand new Honda odyssey from Gary Smith Honda in 2019. They missed that my break hold button didn't work when they "inspected my vehicle". Fast forward to this month 2024. I got stuck in a car wash when my car automatically put itself in break hold and I couldn't turn it off. I had no idea what break hold was and I just assumed that I didn't pay for that feature. So I took it to my local now Gunn Honda shop in Texas because we are military and we moved. All I get is oh I am sorry you are out of warranty, you should have noticed this while you were in warranty. What a joke! I have replied with I brought my car in multiple times for various things and NO ONE from Honda noticed it so why would you expect that I would when I have no idea what I would be looking for. At the end of the day I will never buy another Honda ever again. Clearly they don't stand behind their product, they don't have enough checks and balances in the build process to miss an entire button not working and when issues like this arise all you hear is , "Let me find out for you, but I know when they make a decision they review several items. One of them is weather you have been a loyal Honda customer and it looks like you have been taking it to a lube place for most of your maintenances." So because I don't use Honda for my oil changes I am not loyal enough. Well I am sorry Honda but I have 3 kiddos and my oldest is extremely special needs and we need oil changes to be quick and for us to be able to stay in the vehicle because my oldest doesn't transition well. I grew up in Honda dealerships, my dad has worked with Honda most of my childhood. I have so many fond memories of Honda and what they use to stand for 25 years ago. November of 2024, I had the displeasure of dealing with Gunn Honda. After placing a deposit for a 2003 Toyota tundra, I was sent to get a vehicle buyers check from Randolph since I was told that Gunn did not work directly with Randolph (obviously not true and the first showing of Gunn's lack of financial knowledge) and returned the same day to complete all applicable paperwork.  Days later, once the check had cleared, I was told I STILL could not take my vehicle despite having email and online banking confirmation. After showing them this documentation, they begrudgingly handed over the keys.  However, the 48 hour warranty on my vehicle was dated for the day of my deposit and had since expired. When I brought this up to them, requesting for a renewal, I was then told for whatever reason that I can no longer have the keys to my vehicle??? Apparently NOW that I see I'm out of warranty, my check had not been cleared? (VERY fishy) From this moment, my mother (co-signer) and I are both belittled by the entire financial apartment at the front desk for 2 hours, LAUGHING at us, accusing us of being ignorant to the loan/application process OR that we'd somehow have the ability to bounce an already cleared check? On top of this, I was being threatened that my deposit wasn't a guarantee of purchase and was told how lucky I am they even kept the vehicle for me??? However, my mother (a former employee of RBFCU) knew we were being mistreated and held her ground until we were able to get further documentation confirming that the check had not only cleared that day, but it had been deposited BY GUNN hours beforehand. Following this embarrassing discovery, the financial department demanded I send them a copy of the attached photo and kicked me out without so much as an apology.  It's a sad day when my mother who hadn't worked at RBFCU in over 10 years has a better understanding of vehicle purchasing than the entire financial department at GUNN automotive... I would NEVER recommend anyone ever deal with these uneducated bullys.  Gunn likes to reply with the usual "give us a call". So please, give me a name, an extension, and a time frame and I WILL call you all to once again educate you on how to do your jobs. read more

The service department at Gunn Honda is abhorrent. My daughter's Honda Civic was taken in for AC work (blowing hot air). There is a Manufacturer issued extended warranty because of condenser problems with these vehicles. There IS damage to the condenser on the passenger side of the vehicle; I knew this before it was taken in. The dealership charged an $85 diagnostic fee, and then quoted us almost $1200 to replace the condenser due to the damage. Not gonna get that from me on a $150 part. I then took the vehicle to a local AC business who charged the system and stated there was not a single leak to be found in the system. Damage to the condenser doesn't mean there is a leak. Gunn Honda appears to be in the business of making crazy profits from their service department by fraudulent diagnosis. Just as I don't leave 5 Stars very often, I also shy away from leaving 1 Star unless it is absolutely deserved. Buy at Gunn or do your service with them at your own risk. read more

The first time we came in we were actually endorsed to the new sales rep of the month, we didn't even care to remember his name we threw away his business card. He Was useless and very impersonal! My cousin told him we were just looking and not planning to buy a car yet. So he didn't even try to take care of us and possibly convince us to buy. But Tony actually approach us when we were inside the showroom looking at the CRV. He introduced himself and I remember him me before when he used to work at finance. We ended up deciding to buy a 2020 Hybrid CRV. Tony helped us decide, he endorsed us to Z and he really was warm and personable. Good morning. Consumers, do your homework. Honda has experienced issues with peeling paint and has issued extended warranties for peeling paint on older models on the HRV for white paint. See Honda SB 19-064. There are numerous stories and posts across the internet. Example HRV Forum.com The paint on my 2019 HRV is peeling and is not covered by warranty and Honda will not make repairs. Gunn, GM Mark Hennigan, and Honda have told me the car is not covered and it is up to me to make repairs. I am hoping a new SB comes out to cover 2019 HRV white paint. Until Honda can come up with a fix for this chronic/recurring issue, I would recommend staying away from at least the white paint and or the HRV. I'm going to get estimates on what the repair will cost me and will provide updates to this post, hoping others can benefit from my experience. Horrible customer service! My last positive review about Adam.B is now turning into a negative one. Saturday morning I arrived around 9:40 am since they opened at 9 am. All I needed was an oil change before I went out of town that day. I saw Adam walking up to my car and thought "oh hey this is the nice guy that helped me out last time" WRONG! He was completely rude and did not have any acts of customer service. He asked the basic questions of what I was here for and how many miles I had on my car. I simply asked how long the wait is going to be for an oil change and his response "I don't know I can't predict the future" that response took me back because I wasn't being a Karen, I was just simply asking.. I told him that I don't have much time and once I said that he got all upset and asked realistically when would I want my car to be done and told him 1 hr... and I was going to say 1 hr to 2 hrs but before that could come out of my mouth he said in a rude manner "NO THATS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN" I looked at him and said you don't have to be rude. His response nothing. I hope this reaches management because that behavior for a grown man is unacceptable. read more
