Northside Chevy has given me a level of buyer's remorse previously unbeknownst to me in all my years. I went for a pre-used vehicle and was told it had been in a collision, but that the damage was minor and all repairs had placed the vehicle in good working order and passed all their checks. I noticed relatively immediately sometimes the trunk would "bounce" a little bit upon closing but didn't think much of it - this was the first vehicle I'd ever owned with an automatic trunk so I didn't know what normal looked like. Just a little more than a year later, the trunk stopped closing automatically. This seems a minor thing until I realized how hard it is to close manually, and actually became afraid that it would fly open in the middle of the highway. I spent $1k at my home dealership (I don't live in San Antonio) and they replaced the actuator and did some other work, but ultimately said the door wasn't latching properly due to the damage to the frame of the car itself. Again, we were told it was previously a fleet vehicle by our salesman and that it had been in a minor collision, but we were not made aware that the damage was that extensive to the frame. So I called Northside Chevy to see if there was anything they could do since in essence, they sold me a vehicle that wasn't fixed properly to begin with. Despite my attempts to explain what my insurance told me or if it was necessary I could pay out of pocket, she abruptly ended the call, leaving me feeling frustrated and upset. She said she couldn't schedule my appointment because she was the only one there, like I don't see that as an issue. In addition to her rudeness, I was disappointed that she seemed to be misinformed about my insurance coverage and disregard me saying I could pay out of pocket. I have the relevant paperwork in front of me, which clearly states that I have the freedom to choose any dealership or repair shop that I prefer. Yet, she insisted that I could only work with certain providers, which was not the case. After the call ended, I attempted to reach out to the representative again, but my calls went unanswered. I made an appointment for an oil change. The service guy was professional enough, but first thing he tells me that there is a sensing device as you drive into the service bay that indicated I needed a wheel alignment. Ok. I have over 82,000 miles and I probably did need an alignment. Later the service guy with a print out of an inspection summary recommending nearly $1500 of additional services. I declined to have any additional work done at present. Yes, some of the recommendations will have to be done, probably after the vehicle reaches the 100,000 mile range, but not until then. (listed on the summary as caution recommendations) I do want to discuss the 3 "fail" recommendations listed. First was the engine air cleaner, supposedly found dirty. I installed a new filter a little over 4 months ago and have put less than 4000 miles on the vehicle since then. Same for the cabin air filter, the third fail item. Nonetheless, When I got home I checked them both and there are very clean. The second fail item was " perform A/C system refresh service" because the air cabin filter was dirty (not my evaluation). For the service, the price tag for each filter was $79.95, and $179.95 for the refresh service, whatever that is. You can buy either filter for under $20. The last straw that prompted me to compose this review was when I got home and found my driver's side floor mat a greasy mess. I'm used to service places covering the seat and the floor to avoid transferring dirt and oil. Obviously, this didn't happen. I wish this review could include pictures. Thus, my rating is low because I feel the fail ratings were dishonest and the level of service needs improvement. read more

My truck was loosing power and a knocking sound was coming from the motor, took it to this dealer so they can run diagnostic. they said my turbo was leaking and needed new engine & turbo wanted to charge me over 17k. I took out my truck and did the basics myself and my truck just needed oil and a new drain plug since oil was leaking from the plug. No Lyft home unless you live within a 10 mile radius. As per their contract. Thank goodness, all Chevy owners live within a 10 mile radius. Otherwise, you're of out luck. Correction NO Customer Service![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I pulled up to get service on my truck and sat in my car for 10 minutes waiting nobody ever approached.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I proceeded to pulling in and getting off and when I walked inside still out of 5 advisors not ONE helped until 25 minutes later finally one asked if they could help me with something.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I haven't been to this dealership in years and now I remember why. We found the car we were interested in online. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My husband called before noon and told the employee that we wanted that car. She said she would pull it up front so it would be ready to test drive when we got there, knowing we couldn't go until between 3 and 4.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got to the dealership about 3:40 and my husband sees a lady checking out the car that was supposed to be reserved for us. We go in to the salesman and he tells us that one is no longer available...it's now pending sale. Then says the lady had been there about three hours...after we had reserved it. It was the only AWD version of that vehicle on the lot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Needless to say we left pretty disgusted.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then, to add insult to injury, as we are sitting in our car trying to figure out the next plan of action, another salesman comes up and tells me he needs to park another car where I am, that those spots are for retail vehicles only. We were lied to by the financial officer about the cost of the extended warranty. When we told him we would not pay that much for the vehicle (a used vehicle), he supposedly juggled some numbers and gave us an amount that was satisfactory and we agreed to it. When we looked at the paperwork when we got home, HE HADN'T CHANGED ANYTHING! Also, the truck was not detailed AT All. It was not vacuumed or cleaned up whatsoever! We test drove the truck on Saturday and we picked it up the following Wednesday. Wow! And I don't know why the review says we are from California. We are from New Braunfels, TX! read more
