Went back to the store, and all they initially would say is "sorry, nothing we can do except process a warranty claim," which doesn't help for ice storm purposes. Later, a nice friendly assistant manager did agree to take it back and refund my purchase price in full, with no restocking fee, which I appreciate. So, I assume the blame should lie with Harbor Freight, and not the individual store.

Their selection is good on some of the stuff they have but what good is that if you can't get extra parts or anybody that knows what you're talking about. I should've never bought that brand.
