Our experience with this orthodontic office has been extremely disappointing, not because we…read moreexpected perfection, but because we expected compassion, accountability, and a willingness to help. Unfortunately, that is not what we experienced. During our conversation, Dr. Mann essentially placed the responsibility entirely on our son, repeatedly stating that he was the one who failed to follow through with the process. That statement is simply not accurate. Our son faithfully wore his retainers as instructed. The problem was that the inexpensive plastic retainers provided by the office repeatedly broke, often for relatively minor reasons. This was not a situation where our son simply refused to wear them or ignored the instructions he was given. What was especially frustrating was the lack of empathy shown toward him throughout this process. Our son was genuinely hurt by the way this situation was handled. Instead of trying to understand what happened, work with him, or offer a reasonable solution, the response felt like an effort to assign blame and move on. Healthcare should be about more than seeing as many patients as possible. Patients are people, not numbers. When something goes wrong, especially with a child, we should be able to expect a healthcare professional to listen, investigate the situation fairly, and work toward a solution rather than immediately placing the blame on the patient. I had to remind my son that, unfortunately, sometimes you have to advocate for yourself and defend yourself when you feel you are not being heard. No child should walk away from a healthcare experience feeling like they are the problem when they have genuinely tried to do what they were instructed to do. We are not asking for special treatment. We are asking for honesty, empathy, accountability, and a willingness to help find a solution. Unfortunately, we did not feel that we received those things from Dr. Mann or this office. He stated no act to help us in anyway no discounts nothing but we are happy with you leaving. Also to add since leaving this review one hour later I kid you not they fired us from the practice too. We pay our bills on time never give them a fuss not once until they blamed my son multiple times to over several appts instead of working with him!!! Buyers beware
