The chicken did not have the flavor I had come to expect, in fact it had a taste of fish, as though it had been cooked in the same oil used for seafood. Their food is plentiful and those 2 dinners last me 2 or 3 days. They have large servings. I especially like their cod dinner. 5 big pieces of cod. I have been officially schooled. I went through the drive through and the young man asked me to pull up that my order would be right out. After I watched the lady in front of me get tired if waiting and go into the restaurant to pick up her order I waited a minute or two and called to check on my order. I love fried chicken!! Although it may not be that healthy, I probably crave it at least once a month. With that said, North Shack is one of my favorite places to go. Their food always comes out piping hot and it's so delicious!! They slather their breasted potatoes in what I assume is butter but it makes it that much better. Their specials are great: they offer $5 off a bucket of chicken on Monday and two chicken meal deal on Tuesday. Their lunch specials aren't bad either and doesn't exclude weekends which is nice. My usual order is chicken bucket with a side of sour cream to dip my broasted potato in. However, their fish sandwich is pretty delicious. It has good flavor and is huge. The only bad experience I have had was when my coleslaw was extremely dry that we had to throw it away. I'm not sure what was wrong with it but it was not edible to me nor my husband.
