Been here a couple of times for vaccines. It's a really nice pharmacy. Very clean and lots of nice things on the shelves to look at. Lots of candles and diffusers and little gifts for kids. The employees I interacted with were all very friendly. read more

Prescription filled with expired medication! I had a prescription for an antibiotic that came in the drug company bottle. I peeled back the label that the pharmacy put on the bottle with my name, prescribing info, etc. The label had been covering the expiration date, and the medication had expired four months ago! I took it back to the pharmacy and received a refund. Unfortunate, because pharmacy was convenient. Wouldn't go back. read more

They did not take Medicare for my PCR test. I had find out how to submit my receipt to Medicare and am still waiting to hear if I will be reimbursed my $150. The person I spoke with at Medicare said the test should have been free for me. I will not go back. There's no shortage of pharmacies. read more

We had such a wonderful experience at North Shore Chemists. My mom came for a Covid vaccination. Communication prior to the visit was excellent and during the visit everything was well organized and seamless. They are extremely Covid-conscious -- so important these days. All of the associates were super friendly and helpful, especially the pharmacist, Olivia. Definitely a place you can trust!! I needed a COVID-PCR test, since I had allegedly been exposed at my workplace a few days prior. I called before hand to ask about turnaround time and was happily told "it will be a 5 day wait for results, is this okay?" Of course, I agreed. 5 days is the newly recommended (by the CDC) quarantine period, so I should get my results and be able to determine whether or not to go back to my regular routine. Being in the pharmacy was very easy. The people behind the counter were polite and very helpful! I walked in, filled out minimal paperwork, got my test and walked out. This is all within 20 minutes too, impressive for a standalone pharmacy during this time. I made the right choice, or so I thought... 5 days pass, no update on results. I call to ask for an update on labs results from the day I was tested and was told "the time has changed from 5 days to 7 days." Hopeful, I accepted the fate, and assumed I would get results 7 days after. This would still give me the opportunity to determine whether or not to quarantine the following week. 7 days later. Still, no update on test results. I call again for an update, to be greeted with "it's going to take 8 days now because the lab got busy." Now I'm very confused, as I assumed there was no way for lab results sent in after me to be completed before. May I ask how this is possible? Overall, the place is clean, the staff are nice in-person (they're not mean over the phone, phone calls regarding personal health are simply difficult) and it's convenient for people that live/work close. However, there seems to be a critical issue with the way they are distributing COVID-PCR tests. I'll end by posing questions. If the CDC is recommending a 5 day quarantine after initial exposure to COVID, is a PCR test that takes 8 days for results even valid? Technically speaking, I have done my quarantine time by waiting for my results. What's the point of having the tests if you can't complete it in the correct timeframe? If you are reading this and need a PCR test, just know that Northwell Health makes them very accessible, with results that take EXACTLY 72 hours to receive. read more

First of all the place is immaculate they had a place for her to sit they checked our temperatures, helped her with the application, we were sent follow up emailsAs well. Just came here for the first time for booster shot. I will never go to cvs again. The store is immaculate and all of the people were so nice and efficient. No appt needed. Just walk in and 5 minutes later you are done and there were maybe a dozen people ahead of me. read more

Very nice good for flu shot ,But they are not a preferred pharmancy even though they say they are and prices are triple the price ! they need to be more honest and not just tell you they didn't know and make you call insurance to resolve issue! This pharmacy is a gem. The best place to get vaccines, boosters, and PCR tests. They are super efficient. Everyone who works there is so nice. Only waited about 15 min for PCR vs 4 hours on line in the freezing cold at van or urgent care. They also have a fantastic selection of adorable gifts along with regular pharmacy items.
