What a cute little place. Normally, our tours take us to a different shop, so it was nice to visit a new one. Time one seems smaller, but they have some delicious nuts and plenty of samples. My favorite is always the Maui onion flavor. The kids liked the little animals running around outside, the cats and the chickens. They also have many other fun souvenirs, but I was a bit sad the shave ice was closed.

One of our favorite stops- best virgin pina colada you'll ever have- and I managed bars and bartended for 15 plus years. It's really good. We stop here each year just for a few of those and the coconut juice in the shell thing with the meat. It's really fun and healthy, too! The man who makes these and who's always here is really friendly and nice! Highly recommend!

Stopped here while on the way to haleiwa town. They give samples a mac nuts which are good. The Maui onion was awesome. They have a lot of other products and there were other little coconut and shaved ice stands outside. There is a plenty of parking

When with friends or family on the North Shore I often include this stop. First of all the grounds are beautiful, lush and green with open air store placed among the foliage. Actual Macadamia nut trees grow close by in a very natural layout. It feels like old Hawaii with friendly domestic cats with lei collars and random chicken wondering around. There is nut tasting with multiple different tastings. They also have coffee tasting. The store also offers local products and great take home gifts for tourist and locals alike. The Hawaiian woman on staff brings the feel of Aloha to the shop and I always enjoy speaking with her. Everyone I've taken there have always found something to purchase and enjoyed the stop as part of their island tour.

Stopped here during an all-day tour of the island, and it felt a bit off the beaten path -- especially coming from Waikīkī -- but that's part of the charm. It's definitely more spread out and laid-back than the touristy areas. Sampling all the macadamia nuts was fun (even though not everyone was super clean about it lol), and I loved being able to try the coffee too before buying. The workers were generally friendly and helpful. I ended up grabbing four bags of macadamias plus some coffee to bring back for my parents -- perfect gifts. Overall, a solid stop if you're already exploring the North Shore and want snacks and treats that feel very Hawaii.

Stopped by North Shore Macadamia before we went home and I am so glad we did :-) I purchased coffee beans and macadamia nuts for family and friends. There was a huge variety of macadamia nuts + coffee bean flavors you can purchase. I loved how they let us sample whatever we wanted & the staff were super friendly too. Also loved how there were lots of cute little chickens roaming around :') will be back soon.

This was part of our tour and depends on how you look at it...touristy or a nice place to get some gifts to bring home. Choosing may be overwhleming but watch out because once you start picking up things to buy it will be a big purchase lol. But all good, macadami nuts were delicious! Free tasting of the macadamia nuts and coffee in this nut house!

The people working here are so sweet and friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to try out different flavored macadamia nuts, even tried out their Kona coffee. They had so many different items there, ended up buying three decorated light switch covers (plumeria design), scented lotion, along with 3 bags of macadamia nuts (cinnamon, caramel and coconut). Then went to a stand right next to the shop for a cold smoothie. Lots of chicken roaming around!

North Shore Macadamia Nut Company is one of the many recommended tourist spots in Ohau, and is usually incorporated into many of the "Island Circle Tours" offered on the island. It's a cute, rustic, open-air shop with the most variety of macadamia nut flavors that I've come across on the island, and offers samples of every flavour to try!  In addition to macadamia nuts, they also sell coffee, and gift items such as small jewelry, art, body care, and pantry goods. The Caramel flavour was my favourite, and I regret not buying more while I was here since I didn't see this flavour offered anywhere else. The staff here were friendly, and let you browse and try the different flavours at your leisure. There's also a free parking lot out front.  Macadamia Nut Flavours: * Caramel Roasted * Honey * Cinnamon * Coconut Roasted * Coffee Roasted  * Garlic Maui Onion * Roasted and Salted * Roasted and Unsalted

Tried the locally made lilikoi pie and it was very delicious and refreshing with immaculate ingredients. They had a chocolate one too that I wanted to try but didn't get a chance to. Hopefully they have it next year when we're back for our 5th annual trip! They also carry Alexandre Family Farms dairy which is very hard to find on the island. It's the only place I've seen it at on Kauai. We tried a little locally made gourmet truffle that was rich and yummy. They also sell locally made sourdough bread loaves and focaccia that we love! I've visited their location in Koloa and liked it as well. There's always a nice lady checking us out no matter when we go or which location we go to. Thank you to all at Hoku Foods!
