The intake process was completed and this individual was told that there was a wait list, but nothing said about how long it would take. After four weeks my cousin called to see if they forgot about her, and was told it could take up to 12 weeks to hear back. If money was there, obviously this person would have gone to a private therapist. What is wrong with a system that is supposedly there to help someone with mental struggles and financial challenges, & has them doing nothing but wait for a call when they have an opening several months later. This is a failed and disappointing system. By the time the wait list opens up, it may be too late. If the funds aren't there for Turning Point to hire more therapists, then tell those that seek service to go else where & get the help they need. Depression, and anxiety can not be put on hold.
