I've used North Shore Shuttle quite a few times getting to/from HNL airport and our hale in Hauula. They are always responsive and quickly get us on the schedule. Always fair and transperant pricing. This was the second worst ride we have ever experienced with the first being a can ride in CHINA. I am giving it 2 stars because Scott did show up and gave us the ride as promised. The reason for the 2 star rating: 1 - called and got a verbal confirmation and was asked to text my details so that he could connect back when he wasn't driving. We did not receive a call or text back. I had to reach out again. 2- confusion on where to pick us up despite me having texted the location, name of hotel and the day of, the address. It was made clear to us that we were the ones at fault as to the mix up on location. We ended up walking to where he was because "he doesn't know where we are"- it wasn't a far walk (wrong entrance) so wasn't a huge deal. 3- this was unbelievable me...he was on a conference call with Bose sound canceling head set on the drive to the north shore! I am sorry but when you have passengers their safety comes first! We were told "I'll have to make comments on this call..." my four kids and husband should be the priority. Take your call while waiting for our 1 hour tour. 4 - on drive back it was a race car driving contest through traffic. At times driving 20 mph over the speed limit. The last 15 minutes swerving in and out of traffic. 5 - I was NEVER told it was a CASH only ride. No idea. Thankfully I had $200 in cash. That is something that should have been shared prior to the ride. The only positive is that we got there and back as promised. Getting back via Uber or something would have been tough so this company provided a guarantee ride there and back. read more

I called 2 days ahead and again that day and no one showed up. I waited an hour and at close to midnight I had to find another plan. I was totally frustrated and a little panicky about the night and was a woman all alone. The guy on the phone didn't seem reputable and never called me back while I was stranded! I kinda didn't want to write this review, especially since it's been a couple years since my experience, but I do believe there should be objective info out there. I actually can't review the service because I never received it. A couple weeks out, I booked this company to pick up me and my friends after a red-eye flight from Tahiti, arriving at 6 am on New Year's Day. We arrived and there was no sight of a car. I called and called, but no answer. Short story is that we had to rent a car to get back to the N. Shore, and finally heard from the company later in the day. They said they marked it down for the wrong year (??). I was disappointed because I thought our situation was handled and we ended up having to spend a half hour and $300 renting a car. Just wanted people to know my experience so they can keep it in mind or take an extra step (call day ahead to confirm, etc.). read more

Users beware!!! We had two Very different experiences using this company and with the same driver. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this shuttle service to anyone. Daniel picked us up from Waikiki and drove us to our North Shore destination. Albeit long due to traffic, it was a pleasant experience, driver was friendly and we got to where we need to go. We decided to send Daniel a text the day after to set up our shuttle with him (2 days in advance) back to the airport. He confirmed our pickup at 10:30 on the am we were to be leaving. Fast forward two days and we get a text from him saying that he is there early to pick us up at 9:45am but we weren't quite ready yet so we asked if we could keep our 10:30 reservation. He confirmed 10:30 again but then told us that he was now going to pick someone else up before us. 10:50-texted him asking if he was nearby. He said that he was 10 min away. 11:15- again a text saying he was on his way but still 10 min away. We tell him that we are starting to get nervous that we will miss our flight. This keeps repeating until finally at 11:45- a full hour and 15 min later he picks us up. Completely unacceptable that he kept leading us on to believe that he was right around the corner just stuck in bad traffic. Clearly he went to pick someone else up and it ended up taking forever. We almost missed our flight but thankfully made it to the gate in time. Thank goodness we budgeted in extra time or we would have definitely missed it. Horrible second ride. Ok so, if you're going to the North Shore - this is the only way to go! First off, getting an Uber to the North Shore is not existent due to the fact that the drivers don't make enough money for the round trip. THIS company SPECIALIZES in the North Shore which means you will always have a ride! Professional, on time, great experience all around! We had them handle both our airport pick up and drop off as well as taking us to some surf spots and a snorkeling trip one day. read more

This is the best experience EVER with a transportation service. Asked Scottie to help pick up two students coming from Africa who needed service to Laie. Their first flight would arrive at 11 pm -- no problem for Scottie. But it gets even better. They were delayed until the next afternoon. Again -- no problem. He met them in the airport, helped them work with the airline when their bags didn't show up, took them to a supermarket to help them get food so they could eat, and helped them get into their apartment. Truly "10 star" service, and he was so nice and pleasant all the way through. And his rates are much lower than nearly all the others. All I can say is a giant "MAHALO".
