Traveling to and from the airport to Hilton Hawaiian Village during the pandemic. Used to take Go808 express, which now charge $30 for up to 3 passengers. Charley's Taxi charges $29 for up to 4 passengers. Regular taxi is about $40. Didn't check Speedishuttle due to reliability problems, arriving late. Hawaii23 charges $23 for 2 people. Each additional person up to 10 total is $10 additional. You have 11 people? Hawaii23 can handle that. I've used Hawaii23 four times, and all times they were on time. I always pay with cash. Hawaii 23 has a fleet of 5 white Ford Econovans, each with a seating capacity of 11 plus the driver. Of course with 11 people, you might have to have your luggage on your laps. Speedishuttle, for all their problems in arriving late, do use 2020-2021 Mercedes Benz Luxury transit vans. No head restraints in these vans. Passenger Vans were not required to have head restraints on second, third and fourth row seats until 2009. This was a safety feature to prevent whiplash injuries in vehicle collisions. The Ford Econovans are a little long on the tooth -my last trip with Mark was in a 2006 Econovan with 506,000 miles. We made it safely to our destination in one piece, despite some weak shock absorbers. read more

I love using Hawaii23 everytime I visit Oahu. As a local from Maui, I felt like I was already part of the Oahu family. Mark was very responsive with each request I made and all the drivers were very friendly and on-time. They would come up to you before getting to the car/van. The only down-side is looking for a Hawaii23 sign on the vehicle which none had, but it was never a problem finding the car since all drivers approached me. Emailed them a week before our flight to Honolulu and got an instant reply confirming my request for pickup. I didn't have to pay online. I had the option to pay the driver upon arrival. Bui, our gentleman driver, texted me that he's waiting in the arrival area with a white board and my last name written on it. If you have not completed or don't plan to complete your health screening 24 hrs prior to departure, factor that wait time in for pickup so they are not waiting wasting their time. When we arrived via Hawaiian Air, there was a long line around 30-40 people in line to fill out the health questionnaires and getting the orange wristband. Bui is a safe driver and gave us tips and info regarding Waikiki. When I requested a return trip to the airport, he was our driver again. Fare is $23 total for me and my husband each way. I also used this company to go to Pearl Harbor $33 each way from/to our hotel in Waikiki. Our driver was Ali: funny and helpful. They accept cash or credit card. You can also add your tip on credit card. I experienced prompt pick up, clean vehicles and friendly drivers. I highly recommend and will definitely use them again when we return to Waikiki! Hawaii 23 is a very affordable transport option on Oahu. We used it to travel from the Waikiki area to the Honolulu airport. I wish we had thought to use it when we arrived as well- our Uber cost $60 and for two people this was just $23! Our driver was very professional and arrived a few minutes early. He helped us with our bags and we had an uneventful ride to the airport. About two days before our departure I submitted a request for transportation through their website. They responded via email with a confirmation within about 12 hours, so make sure you do it enough ahead of time so you don't get nervous! read more

Hawaii23 had the most affordable airport transportation rates when I compared it with other transportation services. On our recent trip we had rented a car for one day only and had to return it to the airport the following day. We had planned to just Uber back to our hotel, but I reached out to Hawaii23 unsure if they would able to give us a ride since it was short notice for the next day. They confirmed fairly quickly that they can pick us up and our ride was ready and waiting for us on time. $23 for 2 people from the airport to Waikiki, can't beat that price! For each extra person it's $10 more per person. I contacted them again for airport transportation at the end of our trip and once again had a smooth and easy process. The driver was late and we got into a van we thought was H23. The owner Mark called and texted me cussing and going off. We chose Hawaii23 based off reviews on websites, reddit blogs, and the $23/two person price. About a week and a half before our departure, I filled out the online form. Per the website they suggest you schedule a pickup a week before you arrive. After a week of not hearing anything, I called. I was told to expect a reply a few days before our departure. I still didn't hear from them and called again. No one picked up this time and I got a voicemail. In that voicemail there was a message that gave a mobile number to text. I texted the number and the next day I got a confirmation. The confirmation had clear instructions on where to meet our driver. Upon arrival I received constant text messages to coordinate pick up. We waited about 15-20 minutes before getting picked up at the airport. The driver was friendly and informative. We arrived at our hotel in Waikiki quickly without incident. On our final return to the airport, I filled out the online form 2 days before our departure. After filling out the online form, I also texted the phone number that was contacting me to make sure they had me down for a ride. I received a confirmation a day later and was able to pre-pay using a weblink. The driver was on time and the ride was safe and without incident. We ended up going to the airport a few times to pick up/drop off a rental car. Hawaii23 was the cheapest transport to and from the airport. We took an Uber and a Taxi from the airport to Waikiki. Each time was about $46-50. Surprisingly, the Taxi was cheaper than the Uber. I would recommend Hawaii23 as it is the cheapest mode of transport to/from the airport. Yes, I had to put in some extra work initially, but it all worked out. I suggest filling out that online form a few days before your arrival and following up with a text. read more

A friend recommended that we book with Hawaii23 as they provide private shuttle rides for unbeatable rates. We booked a shuttle from our hotel in Waikiki to the airport for a 6:30am pickup on Monday, August 23rd.We emailed Mark from Hawaii23 to inquire about our trip and within 24 hours we received a response confirming availability. A few days prior to the pick-up, I texted the contact number to confirm the pick-up and got a response, not right away, but several hours later. At least we had a confirmation and peace of mind that we had a ride! On the morning of our pick-up, we were greeted by Joey, who arrived in the area 15 minutes earlier than the scheduled pick up. He was a pleasure to talk to during the short ride to the airport--we almost wished our ride was longer! He really embodies the Hawaiian hospitality that we love about our visits to the islands. Got in contact with Hawaii23 a few days before our trip and they were able to accommodate us. Mark picked up our family when we arrived. We ended up walking to the wrong area and he came out and found us. He was very helpful and kind. He even had 2 car seats in the shuttle just in case our 2 younger children needed to use them. We also booked a shuttle for our trip back to the airport at 8:15am, I didn't catch the drivers name but he arrived early to our hotel and got us to the airport promptly (2 car seats available for use again!). We booked a month ago. Never got a confirmation. Waited until the day before our flight like the instructions said. Still no confirmation. Booked AGAIN, the day before, and got 2 replies confirming. Our flight arrived on time, we collected our baggage. We had 3 small kids with us (after 12 hrs of traveling). It was 7:30 PM. We went to the pick up area per the email. There was no shuttle there. We texted the # provided and got no reply. We waited 20 mins (which was now 50 mins since our flight arrived) and we finally left. Uber XL was $20 less ($38 total) than what Hawaii23 was going to charge. They finally called us 30 mins later asking where we were?! Unbelievable. Very annoying. We used Hawaii23 back in 2014 and again last week. We were a little worried with the recent reviews that the service wasn't as good anymore but that wasn't the case. They tracked our flight which was delayed for over 2 hours and was waiting for us at the airport when we landed. We also booked the ride from Waikiki to HNL airport last min (2 days) before departure and Mark was able to accommodate us. I called on the day we had scheduled a ride and asked if they could pick us up 2 hours later than I had originally scheduled the pickup since our flight was delayed back to SD. Mark picked up and was super pleasant and said sure! The price for the ride is also a very good deal! $23 total for 2 riders + tip. Even with the tip, $30 was cheaper than Uber but you do have to plan ahead a little bit. read more

I had prebooked and prepaid (big mistake) a HNL airport pickup on December 2, flight HA 69 arriving at 11:50 AM. The flight was on time, and I was outside pretty quickly since I had the wristband. I saw numerous Charley's Taxis come and collect their fares. I finally called Hawaii23 and was told half an hour. Then I called again after waiting, waiting. They finally called me at 2:15 pm to tell me that the driver was nearly there! I got the impression that I never even had a scheduled pickup. IIRC correctly, they told me two different color vans. So maybe the first van they were sending got diverted to another pick up and they had to call another driver. Really poor. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this ONE STOP shuttle service for your transportation needs! $23 from anywhere in Waikiki to the airport!! Although there were only 3 reviews on yelp, I decided to call them up because their website showed a very large van. I have 2 kids and can't fit all the luggage and kid crap in my SUV, and whenever I call a taxi, they refuse to send me a vehicle large enough to fit all the stuff I have to schlep to the airport and back because either they don't understand me or they don't have a vehicle large enough. Here are the highlights from my experience with Mark (the owner): 1. Mark answered the phone the first time I called. No answering machine! 2. Mark speaks fluent English. BONUS: His wife Yuka speaks fluent English AND Japanese, so Nihongo dozoo or English! 3. Mark arrived ON TIME! 4. Mark arrived with the VAN that I requested. 5. Mark followed all the rules of the road. No illegal turns, No crazy lane changing, no flipping off other drivers (like I've experienced with some other taxi/shuttle services), no running through red lights... 6. The Air Conditioning was functioning properly. 7. He had one car seat in his van, so I didn't have to unpack mine!! 8. He went directly from our house to the airport...and on the return trip went straight from the airport to our house. Now, while the above may seem like common sense, I've had some pretty horrible service from other shuttle companies here in Honolulu who either speak English as a second language, are constantly on Hawaiian time, subcontract out with taxi companies so you never know what's going to actually show up, seem like they're high on something when they drive, act like crazy NYC cab drivers, always complain that the A/C just died yesterday, have non-existent seat belts, or pick up multiple fares (like the Super Shuttles in LA and SF) to fill up their van. I live farther away from the airport than Waikiki, so the fare was $33, which is still way cheaper than what the taxi drivers charge for the same ride. Considering there were 4 suitcases, 4 carry-ons, 1 carseat, 1 booster, 1 double stroller, 2 adults, and 2 kids, $33 was a great price to get everything to and from the airport without losing my sanity. Tried Hawaii 23 for the first time when we had to go from Waikiki to the airport. Made my reservation on line, but didn't get a confirmation back from them. Waited 3 or 4 days and still nothing, so I emailed asking if they had received the reservation, no reply. So I called the next day and got an answering machine, where I left my message. Within a few hours I got a text message telling me to text if I wanted a reply. So I sent a text. Next day I had confirmation and a request to reply to the confirmation so they would know I had received it, which I did. Soon I received confirmation that they had received the confirmation of the confirmation that they had sent me. Day before our departure I get an email asking if they can change pickup time by 10 minutes, which I say is fine (at least they are keeping me informed of everything now). Day of service they are right on time. An older van driven by a really nice guy, he laughed and joked with us all the way to the airport. Would I use Hawaii23 again? You bet I will! Aside from being slow to confirm a reservation, they were on time, friendly, and much cheaper than most shuttle services in Hawaii. read more

We booked a transfer from our hotel to the airport 4 weeks in advance. At 5.30am the day of the transfer when they hadn't turned up, I called and the person I spoke to said: "oh, no, we haven't heard from you and you didn't use our services on the way in." We did in fact use their service on the way in and I did confirm my booking also - I have emails to prove this. He asked if I would like him to organise a transfer now, I said yes and he said he would call me back. I didn't receive a call back at all. So they left us stranded at 5.30am with no way to get 14 people to the airport! Definitely will not be recommending or using you again! read more

Communication and coordination was excellent from the beginning. But then it went all downhill afterwards, when I arrived to Honolulu. I was unable to get a hold of anyone through phone calls, text, or e-mails. I was stranded at the Honolulu airport for a couple hours and decided to take an Uber. The company should do more to make sure that they are reachable through all forms of communication. A non-response through one may be okay, but not through every single source of communication. Well, I see the review I left about Joel was deleted by the company. This man was SO RUDE! Long story short, he rolled his eyes at me multiple times, got annoyed when I confirmed he was there for us, didn't help load the bags, and rude! When I arraigned for pick-up from Hale Koa, I asked for a specific time. The owner texted me with an earlier time. I replied back correcting the time, he sent the "Shaka" emoji confirming!? Well, what do you know, they came on their time, not the time I hired them for. Lucky enough, we were downstairs. My husband was in line to check out and Joel was not happy about this (even though it was still 20 minutes before the time I requested). We managed to leave 12 minutes prior to our original agreed upon time and it was not a pleasant ride. There are SO many other options for transportation...choose wisely. read more
