Let's start with the positives. Service was good and food came out quickly. The food overall was very good. The pickle chips and the dipping sauce were tasty. The burger was cooked well and the maple bacon jam was delicious. Had a bite of my gfs salmon and salad and it tasted good. Her drink, blueberry lemon drop (not pictured) was also good. Server: Our server and the hostess were both very sweet and attentive. Our server came back to check on us but let us enjoy our evening. I hate being hovered over so I appreciated that. Food Quality& Order: This was the PERFECT cheat meal. We mainly eat plant based but if we eat out we allow ourselves to enjoy whatever, within reason. Not only did they have Vegan and Veg options... they had Gluten Free which is most important for me as someone with Celiac. Our orders consisted of Giant Pretzel (not for me) with 3 dipping sauces including beer cheese. Garlic Parm fries, Sweet Potato fries (I asked for both the savory sriracha aioli and the sweet cinnamon sugar dipping sauces), Hot Crab Dip w/Chips, a Chicken Cheesesteak (for him), and a BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich on gluten free bun w/ slaw! Yes, we ordered a lot and yes we enjoyed every bit. It was all delicious. It was the bar food I've always wanted but have never received from ANY bar. That alone days a lot. Wow! This past weekend was my first time at North Slope Brewing Co., and I absolutely LOVED the food! Great portions of tasty food at affordable prices! Our server was awesome and very attentive as well. I would never subtract stars for this, but when seated at a table for two, I had nowhere to put my purse except on the ground. The backs of the chairs are rounded, so that wouldn't work and sitting with my bag on my lap while I eat isn't ideal. Maybe you can add some hooks at the table? Same issue in the rest room...nowhere to put your purse when washing your hands. Minor, first-world issues here that absolutely won't affect my return visits (I'll definitely be back), but just a few things to consider for your customers. Stopped into this place in my Home Town of Dallas Pa. visiting from my new Home Town of Tuscon AZ. the place is nice, and the atmosphere is decent, the chairs however OMFG please replace these uncomfortable monstrosities ASAP!! Didn't try any food, just came to sample the beers, they were decent, but nothing really wowed me! None were bad mind you, but none stood out either. Service was efficient and attentive for the most part, and the prices seemed reasonable. I would probably stop in again on my next visit home to see the family. Other than the three douchebags that were hanging out in there talking trash about me because of my clothing, it was a pretty good experience. Easy parking, we stopped in, on a Saturday night, to see our friend's band AD/HD play a show. The venue is smaller, creating a great atmosphere to hang out. We didn't try any food, but everything that 'walked by' looked and smelled amazing (very large quantities of food on each plate!). The beers weren't amazing-take home a growler now... but they were pleasant for drinking while watching a show. The one woe-they had either a lot of very heavy beers or light cider-like, with minimal variety in the middle ground. I came here after a weekend hiking in PA on my way back home. First i like the decor of the place pretty cool and casual. The fact that the brew on premise is another cool perk. We got there for their brunch menu and it looked really good I got the grand marnier french toast with back and we split boneless wings and cheese steak bites/pockets. The Apps were out of this world i could eat a dozen of those cheese steak bites and the wings were excellent. I really liked the french toast too except i didn't taste the grand marnier at all. I actually thought they might have mixed it up and put in regular french toast but the bill said otherwise. I was disappointed that i didn't taste it but it was still really good. The only downside was that we all got the brunch but non of use were offered the coffee/tea/juice that comes with it. It wasn't that big of a deal but i would have liked to get a glass of OJ. I was intending on asking the waitress who was nice but it was impossible to get her attention until she brought the check and at that point we had to get back on the road. read more

Do not kid yourself and think you'll be having a beer and chatting with yiur friends on the many nights they have live music. Full on amplifiers, drums, concretes floors, metal chairs and you can't get more than 30' from the band. You'd need to scream in their ear, that's fine at a show but this is a pub, not chill at all. This place is still basically a mess, can't imagine how it's still open. It's an impressive space with so much potential but I don't think there's really a chef-a cook, yes but nobody's back there really managing the food. It all looks ok but the flavor's not there. As we walked in there was a small patio with about four tables. We liked the idea of sitting outside, but not of listening to cars on the road from the patio. Once we got inside we decided to stay there. I chose to get a flight of three beers and one cider. They were all tasty and unique. As an appetizer we got the fried brussel sprouts, they were fantastic with a light crispy coating that was not heavy or greasy. They were covered with parmesan cheese and came with a dipping sauce. My friend thought the dipping sauce was really spicy, but it was fine for me. I ordered the French toast chicken sandwich, which was two pieces of French toast with pulled chicken and ham inside. I particularly liked the fresh maple syrup it came with for dipping, though I wish there was more maple syrup. It also came with a side of fresh cut french fries and aioli. Good and perfect crispiness with the fries. I enjoy the fun playlist of music. The bar was nice and all the beers are brewed in house. There's a pretty good number of people but not super busy. We went to a soft opening and returned three weeks later. Both times we had a less than stellar experience. This review is of our second trip. More than anything we were looking forward to the beer, but choice was limited. The few selections they did have were just OK, but not great. Wine was not available and soda was offered by the can. There are no spirits available. The ambiance of the space feels unfinished and we couldn't tell if the seating was temporary. They clearly spent a great deal on the bar, but didn't give much consideration to the chairs and dining room seating. Next to the service, which was terrible, the food was the greatest disappointment of all. We kept our order simple enough; a charcuterie for a starter, and a pork pattymelt and a Cuban sandwich. Both sandwiches had too much bread and on top of that one side of both sandwiches were beyond burnt. When we discovered the fries were a la carte, we placed an order only to have them come out before our meal. Seemed a little odd that the sandwiches didn't even come with chips especially when paying $9-10. The waitress didn't check on us and didn't pay attention to the fact that we didn't really touch the bread. She was also unable to talk about the beers beyond what was written on the menu. We are done with North Slope for now. I hope they can pull this off. I think this is just what the Back Mountain needs. After all, other breweries are thriving in our area. read more

Wanted to try someplace new while dropping our daughter off at Misericordia. Definitely returning! Great food that was different (loaded nachos with pulled pork had a nice lime hint), Great drinks (had a cider and the Irish Ale both were excellent and I love beer (not piss water "light beer" but craft brewed beers) and finally really enjoyable live music that wasn't too loud, had an electic selection and great crowd interaction. We love stopping here when we're in town. I definitely recommend their burgers and the Pale of Truth. Some of their other beers I haven't been a fan of, but I enjoy that one! I love microbreweries so I decided to check out the new game in town. When you walk in, you quickly can see why this would be a great hangout joint because it's clean, open, and the atmosphere is very chill. The waitress we had was very friendly and made sure we were well taken care of without being pushy. Anywho, I had initially only stopped in for the burgers I heard about but decided to indulge myself with an afternoon beer. I ordered the Lil'sip (cream ale) and the Homestead Burger with garlic parm fries. The beer was smooth and not overpowering. The burger itself was pretty good but I think it would have benefited having something bright or acidic to lift up the flavors a bit and while the fries tasted good, it lacked the crispy factor. In the end, I would recommend this place to people who enjoy sampling kinds of beers and good food. It seems like it would be a very cool place to hang out with a bunch of friends. read more
