This is a nice corner spot in North Tacoma. I went for the first time today and used the largest washer that holds about three loads. The man who was attending the place was super nice and helpful, and even gave me free soap. The washers and dryers worked well, and the place was very clean with chairs out front to sit in the sun, and some really good classic R&B playing on the house speakers. It's a rather small place; I can see that it could get very crowded on really busy days. Only downsides were there was no restroom and no full-time attendant. Also, my app would not work there and I had to use quarters. It has always worked everywhere else I've used it while traveling. Nice place. read more

Came here a bit frazzled due to our dryer taking a dump on us but had a remarkably smooth experience! All the machines appear to be newer and in good working order, everything is kept very clean. They had Bewitched on the tv and were playing old blues music so a cool atmosphere as opposed to reading old Reader's Digest while loud kids spill detergent everywhere. The space itself is pretty small and tight so not a lot of chairs for waiting, BUT there's a neat bar/restaurant and bodega across the street to go to, or you can do what I did and take I nice stroll around the lovely historic neighborhood. It's been almost 10 years since I had to pay to do my laundry so I'm not sure what the going rates are these days, but it didn't seem like much more than I used to pay at my old apartments circa 2012. Dryer rate is 25 cents/5 minutes and it took about 35 to dry a regular load and around an hour to dry another regular load that was extra wet due to our washer at home not spinning out. I can't speak to the washing experience as I was only there to dry, but I did chat with a couple there who said they were very happy with it. The people who run the place are very nice and helpful and there's some cool old historic photos/documents hanging up as the building is very old. Hopefully I get my laundry situation fixed at home , but let's just say I wouldn't mind hauling around dirty clothes and quarters again if it meant coming here! read more

Moving my daughter into her dorm at University of Puget Sound and needed to "Mom" a little more by washing her sheets, duvet, pillowcases, robe and blankets. This gem is located very close to campus, super helpful explaining how the machines work (HUGE washers, I was able to fit it all in one!) and with the app you don't even need cash, though there is a change machine. Came in about a week ago to do laundry and I'm glad we came in. The place is very nice and clean, and played great music! There's a large space to fold your clothes and nice chairs to sit and read in. The owner is also very attentive and kind, this rating is mostly for him and the service he provides! He cares about getting to know customers, says hi and asks your name, and helps you out when you're lost. I haven't been to a laundromat since I was little, so I was a bit confused and used a smaller dryer that was taking too much time. He came over and pointed me to a larger one for our load, and even gave us our quarters back to start the new machine. Super happy with the service here. Admittedly, it is a little more pricey than what I've seen, but if you can front the cost, it's worth your time and money. Supporting a community business like this is well worth it if you can afford. read more

My washing machine quit last week... It's starting to leak. I waited as long as I could, then searched for a place nearby that I could get my clothes and my sheets washed. This is the place! It's clean, there is a staff that is present and friendly, and it's efficient! Not a bad laundromat in some ways: decent location, kept pretty clean, fair prices and convenient pay options. However, that all goes out the window when the machines don't do their job. Two weeks in a row, using different machines, I had to wait 2 hours for my clothes to dry. On normal heat! I had to keep adding coins over and over in hopes that the next 15 minutes would do the trick. Nope. Still left with countless wet spots and and empty wallet. Disappointing. read more

While staying at a neighborhood Air BnB, I had some delicates to wash. I LOVED doing my laundry at this place!!! The sweet young couple who run it couldn't be more helpful and accommodating, the machines are new and clean (as is the whole place), and the atmosphere is very welcoming....especially the music and fun films on the screen ! The prices seem pretty standard - and as far as I'm concerned, well worth the cleanliness and conviviality one is offered as soon as they walk through the door. And let's not forget, there's a nice little pizza joint on the corner to have a beer and a slice while waiting for your clothes to dry. Five stars for sure!! read more

Clean and quick in and out laundry stop. Nice area and would definitely recommend. Change machines inside, just enough room for folding and they have small and large washers to choose from. Just don't forget to bring your own detergent and fabric softener because that is not sold there. read more

Nice neighborhood laundromat nestled on the corner of 6th and K St. The place is clean and maintained. There is a change machine that accepts bills up to a $20. Pretty sure there are four different-sized machines ranging from $3 to $10.50. The owner is a super nice fellow. He is always around and he has an attendant in the evenings. No bathroom, but there is a restaurant/bar and a corner store across the street. read more
