When I mentioned it to my daughter they knew exactly what I was talking about and so we went to take a look at it. I love this unique addition to their downtown area which allows you to throw away rubbish via the garbage goat. You simply walk up to the goat, press the button to get it started and it you feed the goat. Your trash and the vacuum inside sucks it up through the mouth. This was a real cool experience even though it's simple. Boy was still an experienced to remember. Also, there is a carousel nearby that provides you with goat food as well which I thought was adorable.

Beautiful old house, such a large bedrooms for the day. They had electricity and hot and cold…read morewater. They treated their servants exceptionally well. A lot of people got married that met at their home. The Campbell's only had one daughter Helen. Very interesting and the docents all of them were fantastic, explaining all about each room. Also beautiful enclosed porch. They had an electric car! Beautiful grounds and in a lovely neighborhood.

Campbell House is a really interesting historic tourist place in Spokane. You can enter for free…read morewith a ticket from the Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture next door ($15 for an adult ticket). Totally worth it. I did a self-guided tour and still learned a lot about the Campbell family, the stories behind the house, and how locals helped restore it. The house feels like stepping back into the early 1900s, with so much attention to detail in the furniture and decor. Every room has something to notice. I kept taking photos everywhere because it's honestly so beautiful, I just can't stop. If you're in Spokane, this is one of those places you shouldn't miss. Highly recommend especially if you love history or want to entertain your family/friends while you're here.

Surprised about the history of the park more than anything else. Build in the 1970s for the World's Fair where dozens of leaders from around the globe including Russian Federation during the Cold War were all in Spokane to discuss about green energy and resource management. This park will be interesting if the focus was on this history, who visited where and what exactly was discussed and agreed on.

It is a little trashy in the little "rooms" or covered bench areas but other than that is a nice clean walk! It has a splendid view of the river and falls, and a good view of the city! This is something fun and easy to do in Spokane to see a nice view and get some fresh air!

If you don't mind walking a little bit and are half as cheap as me, it's a great place to find a spot!

This is a gorgeous park and botanical garden bustling with people and butterflies and life!…read moreWe stopped here to have some lunch under the covered picnic area and were surrounded by green grass and the sound of children playing at the nearby playground. There was a cool breeze through the canopies on a very warm day and garbage cans to dispose of our leftovers. When we stumbled upon the gorgeous flower gardens, I could not believe it. There were multiple gardeners working outside of the conservatory and although it was closed, I can't imagine that there was anything more beautiful inside than what we saw outside. We were able to sit over at the benches and rally enjoy the fountain and manicured flowers. There was a large, veryrude family that did come through who wanted to scream at their kids and then try to take photographs in front of the flowers like a happy family. Then allow their smaller children to stomp through the flowers and scream loudly while they stared at their phones. And there were of course at least two young ladies posing for "the gram" that picked flowers and made obnoxious gestures in ridiculously skimpy clothes... I guess those types of things can't be helped these days and they are no reflection on the garden itself, just be prepared for your peace to be interrupted. We also made a quick stop at the Rose garden which I did not find to be quite as beautiful but smelled lovely... There were just too many bugs and it was there were just too many bugs and it was far too warm to spend much time there. If I lived closer to this park, I would come everyday to listen to the sound of the fountain and appreciate the beauty of the topiaries and flowers and I would recommend a stop here for anyone who appreciates the beauty of nature.

Four Lakes seems like quite a small city in general and this historical marker in a way seems like…read morea bit of an oddity. It is well placed in a calmly serene & very clean grassy prairie type area. It is well kept and probably for good measure. It was the site of a rather grisly war between a mass of native indian resistance soldiers and the well armed servicemen of the US Army during the Yakima War. If you read the history of the war, it hardly seemed like a war at all as the natives were hardly a match for the army men with their newly developed firepower. They were above to keep the natives at bay from afar without hardly any hand to hand combat. There may not have been any hand to hand combat at all from the information I could fine. At the end of the day zero army men lost their lives. The natives.....weren't so lucky.
