I just wanted to take a couple minutes and express my thoughts about Dr. Early, staff & North Star. My name is Kent and my family and I have been seeing Dr. Early for probably almost 6 years now. The practice was first called Sound Chiropractic when I first went there and I first learned about them at an annual car show in Greenwood. I was looking for a chiropractor because I was approximately 44 years old and loved to run and my lower back was sooo sooo painful that I could not run any longer without having major pain across my entire lower back. That is when I started going to then Sound Chiropractic Center. At that time there were about 3 to 4 doctors working there and it seemed every-time I went I was given the same treatment. I went with it for a while but then my doctor needed to have hand surgery and that is when Dr. Early and his MAGIC hands took over. Not long after that happened Dr. Early purchased the practice and let the other not so talented Doctors go and now it is North Star Chiropractic Center, of course. Dr. Early always takes X-Rays at first to baseline your physical structure before any adjustments and does re-baselines with you from time to time. Dr. Early significantly cleared up my lower back pain within a 2 to 3 month period after my first treatment with him. After that we have continued to work slowly work up my back spine straightening things up from many many years of mis-alignment. Now we are maintaining my spine and working on loosing up my neck after all these years. I had a car accident with whiplash when I was in college and my muscles got better but at that time but I knew nothing about Chiropractic Care, I WISH I HAD ! Maybe I would not have developed the small bone spur on my neck if I knew about Chiropractic care. That is why I immediately had my wife and 2 teenage sons at that time see Dr. Early too. I now believe that having consistent adjustments by a highly qualified Chiropractic Dr. is essential. If you are looking for a GREAT one Dr. Early is your guy! His staff is excellent and he will be straight forward and honest with you about your condition. Those evaluations that he took for my wife are now really coming in very handy since she was involved in a car accident a few years ago and we could actually evaluate the differences in the before and after x-rays and we are now using that information with our attorney on the case. Accidents or not it is my belief that everyone needs to be evaluated as soon as you can and not just wait till something is wrong to get treated. There were numerous times I can remember as a kid where I tweaked by body and thought that I had recovered properly to actually just now find out that my muscle structure had adjusted to my mis-aligned skeletal structure, which is NOT GOOD AT ALL. Everything seems fine but it's not. It throws all your other structure out of balance too. And over a short time or a very long time it will catch up with you. It's best to get checked out, like I said even if you are not experiencing any pain. When I understood this I immediately had my wife and 2 sons check out too even though they seemed fine and did not have any issues. Actually, come to find out that they my wife and one of my sons were out of alignment but the other son looked pretty good. Dr. Early is your guy. Again I can't express to you enough how important it is to get check out. If you don't have insurance, which I did originally and now do not, ask them about the SimpleCare membership. Call them they will be happy to answer all your questions. I'am VERY GRATEFUL that I crossed paths with Dr. Early. P.S. - I must say that his OLD message person did not do a whole lot for me after about 6 or 7 visits. But that was my fault for not saying anything. She really never messaged the areas that Dr. Early specified but the overall body message and the conversation was good. read more

I went to Dr. Early after a fall I had in mid-November of last year. I have been to chiropractors before and had okay experiences. Looking for someone new after my accident, I picked North Star because it was close to my house. I'm happy to say, my convenient choice was also a great choice! I had a great experience with Dr. Early. He is very knowledgeable about the body and is careful to make sure his patients understand what he is doing and why he is doing it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I also had massage therapy with Cory and he is fantastic. Cory is very knowledgable and personable as well. After several weeks of the combo of Dr. Early and Cory's work, I can move my neck better than I could even before the fall. I've moved on to physical therapy, now that my bones are in the right places so I can strengthen my muscles and continue healing. I read in a previous review that someone didn't like how Dr. Early asks for Yelp reviews and wants to talk about commitment to appointments and payments. I don't see how that is a bad thing. He's running his own, small business. I would expect this with any small business owner. Nothing he did or asked for was inappropriate IMHO. It was a few weeks before my wedding and I'd somehow put my back out so badly that I could barely move and I was reduced to tears. Nothing like that had ever happened to me before and I was in so much pain I had my fiance find the nearest available chiropractor and we were SO lucky to come across Sound Chiropractic and Dr. Early. I went through an initial consultation where Dr. Early carefully explained each step that we would have to go through to get me better. My back pain reduced significantly after the first adjustment and disappeared within the week. I danced every single dance at my wedding (in heels!) and other small aches and pains that I didn't even notice till they were gone, are gone! The office staff are extremely friendly and they greet you by name every time you walk in. Dr. Early is extremely professional but with a side of humor that puts you right at ease. Dr. Early has you take a quick "new-patient class" where he clearly explains the philosophy of Sound Chiropractic and your responsibility as a patient. It was quite refreshing! Dr. Early is a life saver! I first came to North Star because I had thrown my back out on the job and could barely walk into the office. On the first day, I left with more mobility than I thought I'd have in weeks. Within a few sessions I was back at work and getting better. My back is great now and recently went back to him for other issues in my neck and shoulders. I have suffered from migraines, head aches and jaw pain since I was a little girl. It's been about two weeks now and am already feeling so much better and wish I would have went to Dr. Early so much sooner. Not only is Dr. Early amazing, but Angela and Lovey always make the atmosphere welcoming and cheerful. They handled all of my L&I paperwork and have dealt with my multiple insurances with no problems. I recently went to see Dr. Early for a headache that just wouldn't go away! I found him to be very professional and compassionate about his work. After a very thorough exam along with xrays he showed me the problem and outlined a course of treatment to help me get back to healthy. I am on my second week of treatment and while driving to work this morning I turned my head to change lanes and for the first time in a very long time I didn't need to turn my body and it was pain free. Also would like to add... during my last visit I had mentioned my wrist hurt every time I used it. I had chalked it up to years of dental assisting. To my amazement... Dr. Early was able to some adjustment on it and today am pain free. WOW!!! I am so impressed and so very, very happy to be getting my body back to healthy. read more

My wife has been going there for a week and a half and has found it incredibly helpful for her ongoing neck, arm and back pain. We were both given a free examination to start with and a consultation of what chiropractic care could do to help. They are very supportive and understanding and were willing to work with us to find a payment plan that would fit with our budget, and provide us with some discounts. As of now my wife is feeling half the pain she did and has only had 7 of the 30 total adjustments. They also have instructive classes which help in understanding how chiropractic care works and how in healing and re-aligning the spine, the pain in various areas of the body is released due to a release in nerve pressure. I've been going to SCC since 2007. I only have the best things to say about this place! Dr. Early is wonderful, Mandy is a doll and recently, I've gotten massage from Sonia who is absolutely amazing! I highly recommend them. They aren't like the chiropractors who make you feel like you have problems or "if you don't get this done, you'll be in worse shape later" my care has always been in my hands and everyone in the office cares about your treatment. They truly are healers of pain. A note about the review a couple down, there is parking upstairs by the post office and 24 hour fitness. You just have to drive up the hill a little past the Taco Del Mar and turn into the next parking lot, so no worries if you're needing to stay away from stairs:) read more

North Star Chiropractic Center is a 5 star facility in my book. Dr. Early as well as his entire staff are all very knowledgeable in their fields and are great at what they do. I always leave with a wealth of helpful information that I am able to incorporate into my daily life weather it come to new exercises or information directed more towards my diet and allergy issues. I love these guys. I was in bad shape in 2009 when I first saw Dr Early. He put me at ease immediately and got me back to good mobility and strength very quickly. I look forward to my visits here. Mandy, the Office Manager, helps set the tone with her warmth and friendliness. She usually fits me in at short notice, sometimes with no notice. Soooooo helpful with sudden twinges or, in my case, work related kinks and strains. Dr Early is marvelous. Very informative and down to earth. I laugh a lot when I'm there. We recently had Dr. Early and his crew come to our Corporate Client Appreciation night. They gave out free massages and consultations. All of our guests loved them! I personally got a mini-massage from Stacey who was wonderful!! After a stressfull day of preparing for the party it was an excellent way to end the day! I highly recommend inviting Sound Chiro to your next corporate event - you'll be a hit! Although I'm lucky enough not to need regular treatments my boss was recently suffering from headaches and neck pain - since he as been visiting Sound Chiro he has been headache and complaint free. Jesus must have been a chiropractor. After seeing Dr. Early, this must be true because he worked miracles with his hands on my back and neck! My wife talked me into going to what I thought was a modern day witch doctor because I did not believe in chiropractors. When she brought me in, it was difficult to get out of the car and straighten up because of lower back pain. After xrays and a thorough examination, Dr. Early adjusted my back and neck and I couldn't believe how good I felt. I was also sorry it took so long for me to see a chiropractor. I had tried several different things after my car accident including accupuncture and massage which all helped a bit but didn't get rid of my daily back, neck, and shoulder pain. I met Dr. Early at my work when he came to give the staff free chair massages and that day I was in his office getting an exam for chiropractic care. He not only has helped me elminate my daily pain but also has helped me deal with my insurance company and offered advice about what my rights were as an accident victim. Dr. Early has been great for the first 5 months of my pregnancy. I work as a nanny, and threw my back out, which led me to have an antalgic lean due to inflammation of discs in my lower back. Some days the pain was so severe I could barely get in to see Dr. Early, but I was able to get adjusted every day while I was experiencing these severe symptoms. Also important to note, I am uninsured and on a limited income. Dr. Early has been very straightforward with the pricing, and has not jerked my chain in the slightest. I have played sports all of my life and have suffered from a number of injuries. While playing college volleyball I started to have regular pain in my lower back and neck. Early was more interested in my financial commitment to his treatment plan than he was to helping me ease my pain. He refused to treat me unless I would come every day for two weeks. Thankfully, my pain dissipated after 24 hours after seeing him because I iced the area to reduce the inflammation. When I told him that, he wished me luck with my ice pack. I recently started going to Sound Chiropractic Center in Northgate and so far I've seen nothing but great results. Their office is beautiful and the front desk staff as very welcoming and inviting. Dr. Early has only adjusted my 4-6 times and already I feel a difference in my workouts. Before I started visiting this clinic, every time I would do sit-ups, my hip would click and as of now I no longer have clicking in my hips. I am a chiropractor, and I started seeing Dr. Early a few months ago and am so glad I did. He is such a great doctor, he is usually able to get me in on the schedule the same day, which I love, since my schedule can get hectic.
