Cole wants to say his heart diease has been getting better since he has been with North Star!

Wow! The service that I have received from North Star Veterinarian has been phenomenal! I drive a little further and pay a little more than I did at my previous vet but as they say, "You get what you pay for". The customer service and attention to detail goes unnoticed. Our dog Nibbler had a big surgery and we were so nervous. I received phone calls, text messages, and even a picture of him prior to the big day. They explained everything. The doctors called prior to surgery and after. They helped me to not stress as bad. We have moved our other 2 pets over there too. Thank you North Star for treating our pets like "family". Here's the one liner "TOOK MY DOG IN TO GET A ROUTINE SURGERY (NEUTERED) ENDED UP HAVING MY DOG BLEED OUT INTERNALLY FOR OVER 2 HOURS IN A CAGE AT NORTH STAR VETERINARY, HE HAD TO GO THROUGH MAJOR SURGERY TO SAVE HIS LIFE." --long story but if you care about your animals you will not take them here--. took my Doberman in to get neutered and THEN get a call later that day saying there was a "complication" and that he had to go back into surgery. My dog got out of surgery the first time, where they failed to close off the arteries from being neutered and then sewed him back up. At that point he was bleeding into his stomach for over 2 hours in a cage where "techs" did there routine inspections. They didn't catch anything until my dog finally passed out (he's a trooper) when they pulled out an IV. They rush him back to surgery to pump the blood and save his life. At that point they called my wife for the first time and explained what they did. They threw all this medical terminology onto my wife on the phone saying that you need to come by and see your dog, hes going to have to spend the night. Dr. Roberson made it out to seem to my family that my dog was going to die. I find out about it and accompanied my wife to North star and get this story about how they basically screwed up my dogs neutered surgery and insulted me by saying that i would have to pay for they extra surgery, supplies and what not to keep him alive. The words 1000 something dollars, on top of the 300 dollar neutered came out of one fools mouth. If your wondering if i really did pay that amount to get my dog. I didn't. I made them fully aware that If I would have picked up my dog on time like they said i could. HE WOULD HAVE DIED AT MY HOUSE. their response "that would have been unfortunate". Am I supposed to by happy and thankful that my dog was alive? Because that's how they were when I showed up in person. "Hes fine, Hes stable, He is going to be alright". No, I was pissed. Pissed that my dog had to suffer, or actually slowly die. And praise GOD that some lucky soul realized something was wrong. I would have made it my life goal to shut down this place for good.

Beautiful memorial I received from the office after the loss of my furbaby

Our Buster ran into some heart trouble in Mount Pleasant and we stopped at er pet service which was very thorough after the vet there talked with Buster's vet Dr Kent Dean, he advised us to come back to Hope Mills. He wanted us to see Dr Hix, his wife, when we got there, we were carried to an exam room and Dr Hix went to work. She saved his life! Dr Kent Dean has always been Buster's favorite, now he has 2 favorites, as we do too! And there is another Dr K. Dean, she is prettier than the first Dr Dean, and will be a great vet too. We are so thankful we have them. They are great people too!

I had to walk…read morearound to several different receptionists before one of them acknowledged me and my request. I had to work to get someone's attention and get them to look away from their computer screens to acknowledge my dog and me. It was obvious I was waiting for help, but instead of someone looking up to address it, I had to shuffle around the desk. I would rather go to a small clinic than a busier place that sacrifices basic customer service skills and care, which matter far more than having a beautiful facility. Also, holding pet owners responsible for picking up their dog's poop should be a key priority, in addition to improving patient flow as people walk through the door. There were dog droppings on the sidewalks and plastic bags with waste placed by the door. This takes away from the facility's appearance and cleanliness for other four-legged animal companions and their owners.

The staff at five points was wonderful with her and went the extra mile to ensuring that she was safe and stable throughout her stay. They made sure she was comfortable and keep a close eye on her at all times. Upon our return, Georgia was active, alert, and enthusiastic to see not only us but the staff members when we went in to get her. In order to assist her with her mobility issues, they tried various mat and rug configurations to make sure she was okay throughout the night. I have to admit I was concerned leaving her but whenever my husband checked the video feed she seemed content. It was a relief knowing she was so well taken care of and seeing her happy when we picked her up. They even had a detailed sign on the door of her suite outlining all of our concerns and her issues. It was reassuring to know that everyone who cared for her knew our concerns. We just hope that they enjoyed the time with Georgia as much she enjoyed spending with them. Five Points Pet Resort is more than two hours from our home and we have initially chose them because they had someone that checked on the babies in the evening. Little did we know how kind and caring everyone on staff would be. This was our second time staying at Five Points and the long drive is work every minute knowing our girl is being well cared for. Thank you again. PS. I can't believe how busy she is today; she clearly feels good.
