Because of temporary financial difficulties, I was unable to renew my vehicle registration by the due date. The car was not being driven and was parked outside my own home, yet I still received a parking ticket. I understand that rules exist, but issuing tickets in situations like this feels unnecessarily punitive, especially for senior citizens and others living on fixed incomes who may simply be waiting for enough money to pay essential bills. A little discretion, notice, or opportunity to correct the issue would be more reasonable than immediately adding another financial burden. In my experience, the Bethlehem Parking Authority focuses too heavily on minor technical violations instead of treating residents with fairness and understanding.

I'm sad they got rid of the microfilm readers; I guess those were moved to the Allentown Library. Makes sense that these aren't as popular as they used to be, but I'll miss heading down to BAPL and idly scrolling through old newspapers for an hour or two. Anyway, the selection is basically good here. Lots of new fiction and classics, and a solid collection of DVDs and audiobooks and CDs. The staff is sometimes friendly, sometimes not as friendly. They're mostly fine. But the noise level of BAPL main branch . . . I have never been to another library as loud as this one. At any given time, library patrons are talking at normal volume, using noisy phones, or just generally, you know, not being silent, which is what you're supposed to be at a library. Isn't that one of the oldest rules of civilization, that you shut your mouth when you enter the hallowed grounds of the town library? When I was there a few days ago, a band concert or practice, I couldn't quite tell which, was going on in the "Quiet Study Room" between four and five o'clock. The doors were shut but of course it was extremely loud. I can't imagine them doing this kind of thing at Easton Library or really any other library I've visited in my entire life. I'll keep going to BAPL, I love a library, and like I said, their selection is good. But this is not a place I'd go and spend a couple hours just enjoying the atmosphere (or microfilm newspapers); when I go to BAPL, it's to grab something I've already researched on my own, and get out.

What a unique opportunity to visit a factory from times past being used in the present! It was a bit of a maze to find the parking lot (thankfully, FREE), but after that I had a quiet afternoon enjoying the SteelStacks. One of the suggestions I got was to enjoy the walkway --- which is an elevated path along the side of the ol' steel factory. It's odd to walk by a factory that in its glory days had 100's of workers, to now being visited by tourist in a solace stroll. In any case, it's always great to see the birthing place of the steel that has given us so many iconic US landmarks, i.e., like the Chrysler Building and the Golden Gate Bridge. See - bet you didn't know that! If you're ever around this area, take in this one-of-a-kind location, it needs to experienced to be believed.

Pick up at ABE airport is smooth and on time. 1st 3 days parking is free $5 /day afterwards in their side lot just off the bus pick up. Smooth ride all the way from ABE to the Manhattan cruise pier 88. Driver was friendly and bus was clean. The return ride, only disappointment I had was they parked all the way at Pier 90 (one over). No one ever walked up or made any announcements. We were waiting at the Pier 88 bus slots. Luckily, I walked down and saw the bus parked behind the Pier 90 wall. All good we got on the bus, it would have been nice if the driver had at least walked down to our arrival pier 88 holding a TB sign. (Just something to consider for future and avoid delays) Return driver was polite and bus was Clean. I recommend Trans-Bridge if going on a cruise. Skip all the traffic driving into the city. Senior rates avail for 62+ as well as free bus wifi.

Feedback on My Recent Bus Trip…read more I recently used the bus service to travel from Allentown Airport to the New York pier. This turned out to be the longest route offered -- the bus made five stops each way and waited for passengers who had pre‑purchased tickets. This happened both ways, two occasions, we waited more than 20 minutes at different stops for people who never showed up. Then We set at the port Authority for over 45 mins . To pick up more people before getting to the pier and samething on the return trip . I booked my trip over the phone, never visited the website, and had not used your company before. The person I spoke with told me the bus went directly to the pier, so I had no reason to question it. I also have friends who used your service previously and said the same. On the return trip, there was additional confusion. Passengers were not informed that pickup would be at a different location than what was printed on the tickets, which led to over an hour of waiting for lost travelers. The bus driver and Company had miscommunication about where she was to stop on the return trip . Overall, the trip took about two hours longer each way than expected. I wanted to share this feedback so future passengers are clearly informed about all stops and pickup details when booking. Avoid using if possible

I literally parked under a sign that said "meter parking only until 9pm" and got a ticket at 11pm several times. Then the app locks you out from paying after a certain time and I would still get a ticket. Same with their kiosks. When I called customer service I was told to "go see a judge". Its pretty clear their only priority is to steal money out of the pockets of the taxpaying residents of allentown. Disgusting

It's small with a tiny selection, but it does have a decent sized computer lab, if you need that. Parking is a pain, though. Unlike the main branch, which has a decent amount of street parking plus after hours parking in the city garage, street parking at this branch is very difficult at times. I'd go to the main branch, unless you see online that the title you need is here.
