I ruptured the anterior tibial tendon in my left foot playing pickleball…read more Following an MRI, I saw Dr. Dodd on a Friday morning for a consult and he was confident in telling me that he could repair the tendon with surgery. He got me scheduled for surgery the following Tuesday (amazing, right?) and the surgery went extremely well. I suffered virtually no pain following the surgery. After a week on crutches in a splint, I went for a post-op appointment and had the stitches removed and transitioned into a weight-bearing boot. I will be four weeks in the boot then six weeks of PT before being able to get back to playing pickleball. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Dodd, his PA Gil and the entire staff at Tahoe Forest Orthopedics and Tahoe Forest PT. Dr. Dodd was great in explaining the surgical procedure and clearly has fantastic surgical skills. The folks at Tahoe Forest PT were able to immediately get me scheduled for twice-weekly PT sessions immediately following my post-op meeting with Dr. Dodd. I would highly recommend Tahoe Forest for any type of sports-related injuries. My entire experience has been amazing!

I had an appointment today to get a simple cortisone shot in my shoulder. The staff informed me…read morethat the procedure would cost over $1,000. I've had cortisone shots in the last several years that were between $100-$200. Of course, the staff did not bother to tell me of the increase prior to my arrival and I had to wait for 45 minutes for Rezac to appear to try and explain this ridiculous increase in price. She had no viable answer whatsoever. So within 6 months the new guard at Tahoe Forest Sports Medicine has quadrupled the price of a simple one minute shot in the arm. Not the same shop as when Nina Winans was there. Nina actually knew what she was doing and did not cheat people out of their money. After I left, I called the Reno Orthopedic Center. They charge $130 for a cortisone shot!! Do NOT trust the staff, Including Rezac, at TF Sports Medicine. Now that Nina is gone, I will never go back. These clowns should be ashamed of themselves for destroying Nina's practice.

Dr Rappaport performed a 3 level surgery on my neck. That was back in June of this year 2023. I feel like I have a new neck. Dr R is an amazing surgeon and everybody who works for him has always been so kind and efficient. I have recommended two other people for surgeries who were hopeless and they are happy as well.
