Dr. Gerwitz was very kind and very thorough in his workup and discussion of my nausea and vomiting issues encountered after kidney dialysis. I will be seeing Dr. Gerwitz again at the end of October for another follow-up appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Gerwitz, he is very kind, knowledgeable and immediately put me at ease. He discovered my initial diagnosis rather quickly even though it had baffled other doctors for about three years before he was on the case. When I gained another neurological issue after an accident, he quickly and competently took over my care for that also. Today I went in with several questions about my diagnosis since I have either gotten slightly better or at least stopped getting worse (which isn't supposed to happen, but may have after quitting a certain unrelated medication or from going gluten free a few years ago). My questions could clarify and/or slightly change my main official diagnosis (that basically includes a large range of similar issues). He was easy to talk with and we developed a plan to check it out. Many other doctors would dig in their feet and not want to listen to anything that may question anything they have previously said. I visited with multiple health care providers and surgeons for my much-needed surgery and overall care. From the very first moment that I met Dr. Song, I knew that he profoundly cares about his patients and his profession. He is passionate about what he does and he spends many hours in continuing education to make sure he is providing his patients with top-notch care. I immediately felt pretty confident that I wanted him to be the person to perform this very sensitive procedure on me. As you can imagine this surgery was very important to me since if the surgery did not go as planned, it could have ended my already limited practice due to all of my symptoms and the weakness I was experiencing in my dominant arm prior to surgery. He spent plenty of time explaining all the things I should be expecting before and after the surgery and his team was great at getting everything ready for the day of the surgery. My very complex surgery took only a bit over an hour and I almost immediately felt 100 times better. I spend a night at the hospital, followed up with 7 days of recovery, and taking my medications as recommended. On the 8thday I decided I was comfortable enough to just take the over-the-counter pain killers and saw Dr. Song for my post-op 15 days after my surgery. He too was very pleased with the outcome of the surgery and my recovery. Now, I have started my physical therapy and 4 weeks out, I feel great. I have already referred family and friends to Dr. Song and I will continue to do so. He is an amazing doctor and has a very pleasant bedside manner with the perfect amount of sense of humor. I look forward to full recovery and getting healthy again and I want to take this opportunity to publically thank Dr. Song and his team for an excellent job done.

I have been going to his office at Renown for a couple of years now. I am freshly postpartum with a nine week old baby who just got his vaccinations yesterday. I left the house with plenty of time to spare, but was 20 minutes late due to circumstances out of my control - something was spilled all over the highway leading to stand still traffic. I arrive to the office and was told he has a full schedule and can't see me today after I just spent an hour plus in traffic with a fussy newborn. I absolutely respect people's time and tried to explain my situation as best as I could letting them know how I made extensive effort to be there although I was 10 minutes past their 10 minute late policy. They were not understanding and held their ground. I then canceled my appointments with them altogether and, freshly postpartum, left the office crying. After being a patient there for years, I was given no grace or understanding. Medical assistants and office staff were not empathetic or understanding to a situation that is clearly a genuine extenuating circumstance entirely out of my control. If you're looking for a Renown office that offers empathy and humanity, this office is unfortunately lacking.
