Dr. Dulemba did two operations on me here and all he accomplished was making me in way more pain than I was before his surgery. I didn't know that you can only get pain meds from one doctor, and even though I told him that, he terminated me abruptly, leaving me in horrible pain, with severe complications after two surgeries that were supposed to make me better. Instead, they left my life severely limited, my body extremely limited and in much worse chronic pain than I had been before both of his surgeries. I left the ER taking WAY more pain meds and WAY more crippled than I had been coming in. After that, he had no idea how to help me, so he put me on a medication that other doctors have said has not been used since the 1950's. It is a medication that essentially turns women into men. I asked him a question about my medical records yesterday, and his 200 year old office assistant, Melinda, wrote back that I have been discharged as a client, and that she is refusing to send my medical records to me. He cowardly uses this rude awful woman (he said he needs her because he likes those qualities about her because his patients scare him) relay these messages, but she writes and spells at a 5th grade level, so her messages make absolutely no sense. He talks about endometriosis as though he owns the field, and knows more than anyone else, but so does EVERY OTHER ENDO SURGEON. all of them are arrogant pricks and pretend to be humans when really they are barely human, if at all. He also casually says that he hates himself and then laughs afterwards, the way Americans laugh when they are uncomfortable. I would hate myself too if I fought in Vietnam like he did. He can operate on millions of women; it's never going to take away or absolve him of his crimes of killing a bunch of innocent kids and helpless Vietnamese people for years. read more

Love Dr. Amy Dean! I see her for everything gynecology-related and she is wonderful. Always gives good advice and has a great bedside manner. She even took a step out of her area of expertise and brought attention to something that I desperately needed help with. I had many severe Hashimoto's disease/hypothyroid symptoms for many years and no other doctor ever took me seriously because they would only run a TSH and get normal results and do nothing for me, despite my pleading for other testing to be done. Dr. Dean was the FIRST doctor to ever think about running a full thyroid panel. My antibodies test came back high (go figure) and I just broke down in tears because I could not believe the answer could've been that simple. Of course, the rest is out of her realm of expertise but she gave me sympathy and any help that she could. I have to give her all the credit for kickstarting my Hashimoto's treatment, even though I do not see her directly for it. read more

Everyone at the Women's Centre was amazing! The front office staff is always friendly and even remembers to ask about other things in my life that I shared with them. It shows that they take an interest in me as a person and not just a number. I recently began seeing Dr. Mantri, and he performed surgery on me in late July. I have to say that this was, hands down, the BEST surgery experience I've ever had! Everything went smoothly, and my recovery was excellent. I believe that Dr. Mantri's techniques and after surgery recommendations made this possible. I hope that I don't need surgery again, but if I do, I know that Dr. Mantri will take the best possible care of me. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Mantri and the Women's Centre! read more

Can you give a place zero stars? This place sucks! They misdiagnose. They over medicate, and they don't know what they are talking about. Also, they refuse to give test results over the phone. Stay far, far, FAR away from this place if you are a member of the LGBTQIA community. DO NOT GO HERE. I usually see the Nurse Practitioner (Amy Dean) for my yearly exams. Generally, annual pelvic exams and pap smears are uncomfortable for most people, but they are especially hard if you are trans*. The first time I came here in 2013, I was seeking a referral for HrT (hormone replacement therapy) and someone that could do gynecological care for ftm individuals. Amy had zero information and the other doctors she consulted with claimed that it is "impossible" for someone with my anatomy without getting a hysterectomy first. If the docs had done their research and/or had been trained in trans* issues, they would know that is absolutely false. Many ftm people do, in fact, have a uterus and/or ovaries while they begin HrT and not all ftm people choose to get a hysterectomy. After being rejected from so many doctors who are completely ignorant about trans health care, I was not surprised. So, I figured that it wasn't so bad that I couldn't come back for my paps. But after what happened recently, I will never come back and I will tell everyone I know not to give them business either. After being on HrT for a year, I needed to get an annual pap and pelvic exam again. I called the office ahead of time and let them know about my transition and presentation. I explained that I needed another name added to my file (other than my billing/legal name) and the pronouns that they should try to use. The person on the phone assured me that they had all of this "in their system." On the day of the appointment, I check in using my last name and hand over my ID/insurance cards. In the waiting room they yell out my legal name, which is essentially outs a transgender person and violates their right to privacy. I had to explain to the staff how their practice put me in danger of violence and harassment. I also wrote this information on my update status form, so it is in writing, too. The staff proceeded to tell me that I should have called ahead to let them know about my name/pronouns and stated that their practice--though admittedly inaccurate--were justified considering that it "wasn't in the system." I explained that I had already called ahead and explained my situation and that the changed were confirmed by the front desk staff. They "apologized" (more like brushed it off) and corrected my paperwork so the staff would call me by the correct name. That was the best part of my visit. The exam itself was completely awful. It was obvious that the nurse prac had zero training or information about trans health care needs. I spent a significant portion of the visit explaining what kinds of tools and implements to use on a body undergoing Hrt and what to expect in terms of anatomy changes. She listened to me, but didn't seem to internalize any of it, even though she admitted that she had never treated a trans* patient before and had little knowledge regarding trans reproductive health care. The nurse prac was rough (you can't use the same kind of touch or techniques when your anatomy is different) and used inappropriate language about my body, despite being asked to use different terms. The exam, of course, hurts more when the nurse prac makes it hard to relax. In reference to my genitals, she said, "I'm curious to see what it looks like now." Not appropriate whatsoever. I feel angry and frustrated that I have to endure subpar care and that my body, knowledge, and time take the place of keeping up with the medical literature. That is the provider's job. Not mine. Let me start off with the good. I have been going to this office for years. I've really only dealt with one person, Amy who is very nice, helpful and attentive. That being said, I had surgery 19 days ago. Dr. Mantri told me I would need 2 days to recover then I would be just fine. I am still not well. Five days after surgery I called the office and spoke to a nurse (Sharon) about my symptoms (all of which I was told to contact my doctor if I experienced). After not hearing back with any resolution, I called back at the end of the day. Sharon told me she still hadn't talked to the doctor and it would probably be the next day. She made me feel like I was bothering her and being a problem patient. I had fever, severe pain & swelling. When I still wasn't feeling better, still running fever 11 days after surgery, I made an appointment & went in. I took my temperature before my appointment and it was 100.5. When I saw Sharon 15 minutes later, she couldn't get her thermometer to work so she just wrote down 98.8. When Dr. Mantri came in he asked what was going on. Before I could even get the first symptom out of my mouth, he interrupted me and continued to interrupt me everytime I tried to say anything. He didn't check my sutures, he didn't look at the swelling. He wasn't even going to examine me until I insisted. All he would say is you're fine and you just take longer to heal. He didn't listen to my concerns, he didn't address my issues. All he did was make me feel like I was a waste of his time. He spent 15 minutes after my surgery taking with my husband about how much he hates Obama and how he hates how he has to take on all of the liability of being a doctor. He uses tons of profanity. He is an angry, unpleasant, unprofessional man and I will NEVER go back. read more

I have seen Amy Dean for the last year or so. She is awesome, very attentive to my needs, questions and concerns. The staff is all amazing and I would recommend anyone to come here. I had my mom come here for hormone therapy, and she has seen several doctors to try and help her elsewhere. For once she has finally got her hormones under control and feels great! read more

This dr doesnt seem to have it together. During my discharge from the hospital I asked him about what he did to my uterus and ovaries and he said that he excised endometriosis and polyp in my uterus. During post operative consultation,I asked him again what exactly he did during laparoscopy and he said that he took out endo in the uterus. Five weeks after surgery, pain became worse that over the counter pain pills didnt work so I called the office many times to email me the operative report so that I know what he exactly did. It showed that he excised endo in my right ovary without even telling me afterwards when I asked him several times. I also asked for the picture/s that he said he will take during the laparoscopic procedure and he said he couldn't find them. I repeatedly asked about the side effects of having pre sacral neurotomy done and he said that it could affect bladder function. My bladder function is fine but what he didnt mention is that chronic constipation can be a permanent side effect! The only laxative that works for me now is epsom salt which gives me a stomachache. I bleed when I go to the bathroom and the rectal pain worsens my pelvic pain! No wonder that he was disciplined by the board for failing to inform patients about risks and side effects of procedures. Below are what I found out about him online ******On Feb. 13, 2015, the Board and John Frank Dulemba, M.D., entered into an Agreed Order requiring Dr. Dulemba to within one year complete the medical recordkeeping course offered by the University of California San Diego Physician Assessment and Clinical Education (PACE) program and within one year complete at least four hours of CME in risk management. The Board found Dr. Dulemba failed to maintain adequate medical records, failed to provide reasonable information on his discussion with the patients as to the risks, benefits and complications of the procedures and failed to adequately document his rationale for the treatment of patients' chronic pain.""" ****John Frank Dulemba, Pennsylvania license no. Also he was sued by a client before for doing a complete hysterectomy on a 24 year old when there was nothing wrong with her ovaries. He wanted to do the same thing to me. Although I am an older lady, I need my reproductive parts bec they secrete/produce hormones that I need for bone, heart and mental health. When I mentioned this to him, he was clueless as to why I need my organs when I already have children. So I mentioned to him the benefits of having ovaries to produce progesterone which helps with energy, mood, bone health. I also asked him if ever I wanted a complete hysterectomy, what would I do hormone wise? He said that he is a surgeon, not a hormone specialist. Then why the heck is he an OB-GYN if he doesnt know anything about the benefits of sex hormones!!!!!!!!??????????? Another concern: While waiting at his office for consultation, loose records where on his desk and I can see patients' personal information (name, dob, diagnosis, pathology report) so that alone is a HIPAA violation. I wish that I have listened to my gut. If only the endo specialist in Georgia accepts insurance, then I could have seen him instead. Been going here for almost 10 years. After 10 years Dr Dulemba and his staff discharged me from his service after giving me false information about my insurance company. How do I know this? Because I haven't had insurance in 6 months and they didn't know this. They accused me of lying and cheating to get medication when I am the one who willing wrote my meds down for them or they would have never known. Yet the head nurse missed this and had to cover her own butt and then Dr Dulumba has to cover his nurse to save his own butt. Also my daughter had surged by the other pysc isn't in his office and when we went back for a follow up, the doctor didn't even remember performing surgery on my daughter. I don't know what's happened to them but for him to have treated a military widow this way after he says he wants to give back to us. And then tells me he doesn't want to discuss the intercity of his nurse after I supplied proof she lied several times. Just a sad sad thing for a doctor to go down hill. read more
