I think the last time I needed a laundry mat was in the 90's, but found myself in CLT for 2 weeks on business needing to do some wash and found North Tryon Laundry. It was a Sat and I could tell when I entered that this was a local laundry spot, it was filled with local laborers washing their orange safety vests. when I walked in the door I got some looks, but felt welcome. There were two ladies doing their wash/fold business at a counter and I purchased detergent from them and started my load. The payment was simple, I didn't need quarters, just my phone (apple pay). I sat and waited while my laundry washed and then dried, as I sat I noticed how clean the place was and that even though there was a lot of people doing wash there seemed to be plenty of machines and space. Super place. EXTREMELY clean. All the employees are super helpful, and when it's busy, they will even locate any available machines for you. They are very very busy on the weekends. Their machines seem well maintained and very clean. I have not used the drop-off laundry service, but I have watched the employees take great care with the laundry they are in charge of getting clean for drop off customers. They owner always seems to make sure that his equipment is upgraded and everything is clean. They offer a large selection (s) of cleaning products that you can purchase, as well as refreshments and snacks. They have large T.V. screens playing different things on them, Lots of nice AND CLEAN folding tables and wheeled laundry baskets. I was just so amazed with the clenliness and well maintained facility! And especially the helpfulness of the employees/staff. My only complaint: The parking... It's cramped, always over crowded, and lots of trash due to other businesses in the plaza serving food, etc that patrons throw EVERYWHERE. And the patrons just parking in non-parking spots blocking the way to get through the lot. There is parking behind the building... but at times it looks a little sketchy. That is the only reason I did not give the place 5 Stars. But it's something they don't have control over. The other business in the plaza need to help clean up the sidewalks, trash cans, and parking lot. And patrons of those places don't need to be such PIGS, trashing up the place. read more

I was so happy with this laundromat. Given the only problem is the language barrier, and the fact that I went on a rainy day. Everything is priced so well and it takes NO TIME for your clothes to get complete. Set an hour aside, and you'll get it all done (using the biggest washers and dryers). My washer #22 didnt spin well at the end - hopefully they're not all rigged to do that.... I put 3 thin tshirts in 1 dryer for 30 minutes ($1.25) and 2 were still damp at the end. Place is nice and clean with plenty of seats to include a reclining sofa and chair. There are also massage chairs, vending machine and a money grab game. They play hispanic music, which on one occasion was extremely loud. The dryers require a $2 purchase for 30 minutes, which is disappointing especially when you only require maybe 10-15 mins to finish drying items. The washers are a little pricey as well. Overall, it's a nice place to wash and dry clothes. BTW, the place is located in a small strip mall and parking can be cramped and difficult. read more

Just started using this location for a wash and gold service. Even though there is a slight language barrier, these women are always so bright and smiling. I came in to wash a king sized comforter. I was nervous because I'd never been to a laundromat before and wasn't sure what to expect. I looked up the best laundromats in the area and this location was the closest to my house. Walking in, it was clean and spacious. I wasn't sure how to use the washing machine but the instructions were clear so it wasn't hard to figure it out. I brought a lot of reading materials because I wasn't sure how long I'd be waiting but my load only took 26 mins and cost $7, much cheaper and quicker than dry cleaning! I decided not to dry the comforter there because I prefer air drying at home. There were plenty of dryers to choose from. Cleanest laundromat I've ever been to. I got there first thing in the morning, and was please to see they have Apple Pay . If you need to use coins or use a card to get cash or just want to tap your card you can do all that. There are two sizes of wash machines. On various occasions, including personal washer/dryer breakdown, it's nice to be able to just to get the laundry done all at once. This location is not a bad location to wait, and you won't have to wait long. They even have free Wifi for customers, restroom for customers, play area for children, and vending. read more

A home remodeling project forced us to find a laundry. This one is the cleanest I have ever seen. The attendant is very friendly and helpful. The bathroom is even cleaner than my home. I needed an oversized washer to clean my dogs bed so I went on a search for a laundromat- reluctantly! I drove to this unfamiliar part of town and am so glad I did ! I walked in and was so impressed with how clean and modern this place was. I started my load and went to pay by card (each machine takes credit or coin). Unfortunately, The network was down and the machine wouldn't take my card. I was frustrated because my soap was already in the machine and I didn't have cash. The owner saw me getting frustrated and came out of the office to help me. He walked me over to a store w an ATM but I didn't want to pay the extra $3 to withdrawal money so he offered to wash my items for me. He let me know he didn't want this to be a waste of my time so he said to just come back the next day and he'd have them washed & dried for me.
