It's pretty unbelievable this place is still open for business, I was hoping after they rebranded it might actually be better. Was there yesterday to do some laundry, none of the washing machines had cold water. Only two customers in the store and they were only 4 to 5 washing machines available, all the other ones are temporary not working. But once you wash your clothes then you have an issue of drying them seem like 90% of their dryers are broken. Would not recommend this place for anybody. read more

This place still has the Washroom signs but also has Lapel Drycleaners, as it was a buy out. Feeling confident and furious my comforter wasn't cleaned as it still has the same "not fresh"smell and texture. I took my dryer sheets and they were returned ultra stiff. Later found out I could have saved $5 and used a local pick up and delivery (but wouldn't be same day-overnight instead. I've seen their pink mini van in our neighborhood before. This business is robbing people and for a terrible quality. Awful customer service from this lady who appeared to be the owner, terrible cleaning efficiency and outrageous prices. They charge $9.50 for the large, $5.50 for the medium and $4.50 for the small machines which isn't bad if it hadn't been for the 25 minute quick wash cycle, instead of a regular wash cycle. This is the worst laundry mat I have ever been to. The machine that out of order has small signs on them. All the 1:75 machines are out of order. I put all my laundry detergent in it and was about to put my change in it that's when I noticed it's out of order. There are 16 machines not working. First and last time I will visit the place. The laundry bags that you fill and drop off are a great deal. The clothes come back folded and wrapped. $25 and $35 bags, that hold a bunch of laundry! Dry cleaning is affordable. Vintage feel, I picked this spot because it reminded me of my go to mat in Brooklyn. Upon walking in you immediately heard the upbeat top 40's radio a nice spin (pun intended) on a typically quiet situation. There was a lady and middle aged gentleman working the front but nobody greeted me or said anything. A lot of the machines were out of order. Would avoid. Dropped off an item and came back after it was supposed to be finished. Was told they couldn't find it and they couldn't tell me when to even try back. Weeks later they find it and say I can't come pick it up but must wait for them to deliver. No one showed up the day it was supposed to be dropped off. Said they'd bring it the next day. No show again and the manager quickly and rudely tells me over the phone she forgot and hung up. A day later it finally arrives, nearly a month after I first dropped it off. Will not be returning here in the future. No offer for a refund, discount or even apology. There was no effort at all to even fix the mistake. read more

I called around because I needed shirts done in one day for a business trip. The Wash House was able to make it happen at an additional $10 charge. They were able to get it done in time and I am thankful! I probably won't be back for dry cleaning as it is $5 per shirt! Way too expensive. read more

I've had bad to neutral experiences with laundromats (crowded, dirty, no one to ask for assistance with the machines, etc) ... not this place. The Wash House is spotless, the staff are super helpful with the customers. I'm watching people being helped by two very friendly staff members while I type this review. There are numerous high-quality flat screen TVs set to a variety of channels, good music playing, free coffee and WiFi, clean bathroom, ample parking, plenty of counter space to fold laundry, plenty of carts to transfer laundry and high quality washers and dryers. I was even offered tennis balls to help my comforters dry better. You won't find a nicer laundromat around. read more

What a nightmare. They completely ruined one of my most precious white coat, which turned a different color upon return to me. The owner did not believe when I sent him a photo of the ruined coat. Also, the owner completely ignored my request to replace the coat. Any other professional cleaner would cover the cost of the coat without hesitation and admit to their mistake. My husband and had taken all our clothes to this place when we lived in that area. A friend just asked me for a recommendation and it prompted me to write this review. I took my whole worn wedding week wardrobe here - white lace dresses with makeup, spray tan and anything other stain you could think of and they came back brand new. The major kicker was my wedding dress. After walking down a semi wet dirt path with a lace train I thought was the dress was ruined. I was amazed it came back like the day it arrived. They even had different boxing options to choose from instead of just stuffing it in the back of my closet I chose a museum quality preservation box with a cover. It's slim enough I can fit it under my bed but large enough I was able to add my clutch and shoes so 50 years from now it will remain untouched. I highly recommend this place. This is the most obscenely overpriced cleaners I have ever used and this is also the 2nd time I have gotten something back dirty without notice. There isn't any sort of pricing structure posted, so it's always a surprise when you pick up your clothes. I had a 10% discount that they refused to apply. Great little "long time" staple in the dilworth neighborhood. Clean shop/very friendly staff AND they are "dog friendly" with free wi-fi!! The people here are friendly but other than that the wash house doesn't have much going for it. There really aren't too many coin laundry places around this area so you are probably going to end up here despite any review you read. At least 1/3 of the washers and dryers don't work, but they have a lot so you shouldn't have any issues finding space. They are pretty expensive and loading 4 bucks in quarters into a machine is a hassle when I can usually buy a soda with my phone from many coke machines. The dryer heat is not consistent. One dryer will char your clothes in 5 minutes and another will take 60 minutes to barely get them dry. read more

I can't believe how expensive it is to wash and dry your clothes with these machines. The problem is that a lot of their dryers were out of order. The first time I visited this business two months ago the dryers were in point. Two loads $0.75 to dry. The second time it cost $1.00. Since then the dryers fail to get hot and it cost more to dry those same two loads. Only this time $2 later the clothes still aren't dry. I will not be returning. read more

I can't speak for the laundromat, but the dry cleaning was not good quality. I've only ever taken my dry cleaning to A Cleaner World before, and always have been satisfied there, but I had a coupon for this place so figured I'd give it a shot. They stretched out the shape of my best work dress so now it hangs off me. Also the blanket I took in now is severely pilled, feels almost slippery like they didn't rinse it. And probably the worst part is both the dress and the blanket have a terrible, used clothes store smell. I can't bring myself to put the blanket on my bed until it's sufficiently aired out because it smells so musty now. Definitely steer clear if you are trying to have nice items dry cleaned! read more

Great location and offers free wifi. The staff is very friendly. My 3 star instead of 5 star rating is from their inattention to detail. The collars and hood of some of my items were still wet when I picked them up. Have used this laundry mat many times over the years because of it's convenience. The machines are very old and I don't feel like they always do a great cleaning job. Recently, the business is under new management and I had hopes for an upgrade. Unfortunately, they only painted over everything. This was not much of an upgrade. I went in yesterday with a lot to wash. I found all 3 large machines in use. I split everything among other machines and went to get change. The machine would not break a $20 and the attendant very sharply said she didn't have change. She said I could go next door and get change. REALLY?? This is a coin operated laundry mat (with an attendant)! Shouldn't this be where people COME TO GET CHANGE?? By the way - old management never failed to have change!! This was my third time here since changes. First time, dryer didn't work and after 40 mins, I had to move clothes to a different one. Last time, I had a problem with the change machine but the attendant did help - grudgingly. I won't go back again. Spintastic on South Blvd is a little further but I have never had an issue there! read more
