It has been a long time since I have been to a laundromat. For my first visit back , I was pleasantly surprised! Hi-tech is pretty high-tech! Long gone are the days of quarters and slots. Now you buy a card and load it will money and insert the card into the machine. The employee was very helpful and I'm sure she could tell I was struggling trying to figure out the new system. We didn't have to buy a card, rather, we used her card and then paid her directly. There are numerous machines! Another new advancement that I learned on this visit was that there are different machines that vary on how big your load is (e.g., 18 lb., 27lb., 35lb., 50lb.). The laundromat is spacious and clean! There are a couple of arcade games to keep you occupied and a tv playing CNN. The chairs, however, are not comfortable. I guess not everything has advanced. This place is not the place to go if you need your clothes washed. Most of all the machines do not work whether it's posted on the machine that they are broken or not usually there is no heat coming out of the dryers. I was there 2 hours because two of the dryers are not working and it was not posted on the dryer the second dryer did not dry at all and I had 7 minutes left and what she told me was take out the dry ones and let the wet ones dry I told her 7 minutes is not going to drive my clothes in cool air. I didn't get an I'm sorry or I'll give you your money back no customer service from the owner at all. The seats are nasty that you sit on inside hardly any dryers work and she pays her employer below minimum wage and she works her ass off. Can't support this place. Money hungry place!! read more

I've tried a few laundromats in Charlotte, north of uptown, and I've stuck with this one. Each time I've visited the machines have been clean, the laundromat itself clean. There are no public restrooms inside. There a chairs, benches, nothing fancy. There are some arcade games , there are a couple of cable televisions running . They have plenty of machines, a reliable card machine you can use to buy a card and load with cash. No credit cards here . This unit is attached to a CVS, so you can get cash over purchase there if necessary. There is also a Food Lion within walking distance if you need to pick up something nearby. I feel safe coming here by myself, have never had an issue, there is also plenty of parking here . Again, if I need a laundromat, I will go out of my way to get to this one because so far, I've been able to rely on it being a decent facility . read more

I'm not an expert on laundromat, actually I barely go to one. This one seems pretty decent, the area is clean, a lot of different size washer, and friendly staff. It's located right by the street, so not creepy at all. The only thing is that u have to purchase card to use the machine. However, the guy works here knows his regulars lol... They have many machines, different sizes of washers and the prices seemed reasonable. We paid $9.50 for 2 large washers and 3 dryers (for different heat levels). The machines didn't have any smell, and they worked properly. The lady at the desk was kind and happy to help me. She was wearing a mask and so were the other 4 clients. I just wished they opened until later on weekdays. read more

I had arrived way before they're closing time to do one load in a washing machine. I didn't even need to use the dryer I just needed to use the actual washing machine which would have taken only about 20 minutes. The individual told me that they were closing and it was only 715. The sign says closed at 8. There was still 45 minutes before they actually closed but for some reason they told me they were closing and just keep repeating to me that they were closing without giving me any sort of excuse while people were still in there doing their laundry. They didn't even say I'm sorry we are closing. Just in a stern tone kept repeating we are closing, we are closing. The attitude was unnecessary. read more

Gets the job done! The worker was nice enough to swipe their prepaid card for me, and allow me to pay him back in the quarters I had brought. Guess it really is hi-tech! The store is clean enough and has plenty of machines & carts. read more

The upside to this place is the owner is very friendly and the machines are clean and work really well. The downside and the reason I will no longer go there is because of the employee Jody. For over four years she has been nothing but disrespectful to me. No matter how hard I try to speak or be cheerful she continues to have an attitude each time I ask a question or for a service. I've encountered her so drunk as she keeps her vodka in a water bottle that she locked me out of the building so I couldn't retrieve my clothes from the dryer. When I asked her to please open the door she told me "when I'm ready I'll open the door for you." Another instance she told me in the middle of me folding my clothes that I had to leave because I could only wash and dry but not fold my clothes there. Today was the last straw as she made me wait 15 mins for a request to start the dryer with the card you have to use as the store doesn't use quarters and once she decided she was ready she told me to "go!" And to hurry up..so I told her never mind I took my clothes out of the dryer and went to another laundromat a few blocks away. As nice and clean as this place is and as nice as the owner is the "woman's " complete lack of self control and disrespectful nature towards patrons has forever sent me to another place of business. read more

First negative review I have written. I try to only look at the positives---- Machine takes $3.60 off of my card for no reason. I ask the employee for explanation and reimbursement. I told her "I put my card in before putting my clothes in and then shut the door, and the machine didn't start. So I put my card in again and the machine started, but charged me double." Her smart ass response "Well why did you do that!?!" Me "Ok well can I get reimbursed". Her "you will have to talk to the guy in the morning and if he believes you then you might get it back". Ok whatever $3.60 isn't worth my time. So I leave to get cash at CVS to add more money to my card. While I'm coming out she is walking in CVS leaving the shop unattended. Go back put my laundry in and head over to hatties across the street for a beer while I wait. (hatties is awesome by the way). Came back, still had another 10 min till wash cycle was finished. Left again came back in 20 minutes around 7:30. The place closes at 9:00pm on Sunday. I go to the main door, locked but people are still inside. I go to the other door and get in. I ask the lady what time do you close knowing it is clearly posted they close at 9:00. She says "I'm closing it at 8:00!" I told her "I just got my clothes out of the wash and the door says you close at 9:00" her response "you aren't suppose to leave. At night when we slow down I close". She knew exactly when I put my clothes in and that I had been there shortly before. I pointed out that there isn't anything posted saying that anywhere in the establishment. Only thing about closing is 9:00 posted on the door. I also looked around and pointed out that there were still 6 people in there. I ask if she was an employee or the owner. She is an employee and I understand she wants to go home, but now I have 40 pounds of wet clothes. I asked her if I could get in contact with a manager. She replies " I am a manger". Can I get the contact info for your boss. "No... Can't give you that, you can talk to the guy in the morning but he is going to tell you the same thing". I need to speak to a superior. Watched me lug a large load of clothes from my car all the way into the laundromat just to tell me that they were closing and that I could not wash the one load. I am not from the area so I took the attendant at her word only to leave and see that the last wash wasn't for another 30 minutes. Attendant was very rude. read more

This is a large facility but the machines are not well-kept. There were many machines that were out of order. However, the gentleman that was on duty was very accommodating, courteous and helpful. read more

There is no way that the woman working wasn't going out of her way to be rude. She greeted me with "yeah?" I responded by explaining that I hadn't been here before and wasn't sure how things worked, and her answer was "umm....you put your clothes in the washer..." and then just stared at me. She was also on her cell phone the whole time. Normally I overlook bad service because I understand people have bad days and may accidentally be snappy, but this woman was intentionally unhelpful, with a smirk. She seemed pretty comfortable acting any kind of way she wants, so I doubt this review will do anything to change her behavior, but maybe it will at least serve as a warning. read more

I previously posted a review for this laundromat service. To repeat, this establishment is clean, fans overhead run during business hours to keep the inside temperature comfortable. The owner/operator is an Indian gentleman. If you're new and he's behind the counter, just walk up to the counter and ask how this laundromat works. He'll gladly take his time to comne out from behind the counter and explain the use of his machines and also show you how his "chip card" works. If it's your first time, he'll clearly explain how this card loads a value after inserting the card and adding the cash amount. As long as you plan to do your laundry at this laundromat, hold on to the "chip card." The next time you're doing your laundry, just go directly to the machines on the wall behind the counter area. Insert your card and it will display how much is still remaining on this "chip card." read more

I come in occasionally when I need to wash big items and each time the staff is so friendly and helpful. The machines work great, they have wifi, and they have good prices. It's a clean facility. I can't say enough good things about the staff! read more
