I will tell you that during this long stay, we interacted with dozens of different teams. And this was an overall good experience. From the security people, nurses, techs, doctors, cafe staff, and even the cleaning crew- we were treated respectfully and everyone communicated with us. And these doctors took the time to really explain what was happening. I know from stays at other hospitals that family is often left in the dark about how and what needs to be done, but they have all been very transparent and ensure we know what they know.

The RN assigned to us was somewhat polite, but when we asked for water for the patient, we were told we could get it ourselves rather than being assisted. I also did not observe the IV port being sanitized before medication was administered, and a green disinfecting cap was not placed on the IV afterward. In addition, the pads the patient was lying on had visible blood on them and were not changed. I ended up removing the soiled pad from underneath her myself. These are basic cleanliness and sanitation practices that are important in a hospital setting. The experience left me feeling like I had to closely watch the care being provided to make sure things were being done properly. I hope hospital leadership or patient relations reviews this feedback and reinforces proper care standards for future patients.

Banner Boswell Medical Center - Terrible staff- inattentive, more focused on protocols and checklists and chatting it up than caring for the patient.

Nobody would inform me as to what's going on and why it was taking so long for me to be seen. They just managed to say oh we're extremely busy in the back however I saw people come and go that came in after me. One lady you made a comment oh my God she's still here pointing at me. The PA was the most horrible vile person I have ever met in my life when I finally did get called back to a bed it was not for triage. I directly asked the PA to help me as I was in severe pain and I was sick. I was not hostile nor was I in any way shape or form threatening. The next thing I know I have a security guard standing at the foot of my bed saying that I was complained about by the PA. It was extremely annoying and very rude and unnecessary. The security guard left after I explained the situation to him. Next thing I know I'm being taken back out to the waiting room where I sat for two more hours over in pain and vomiting. I was the only one in the entire emergency room. I watched people leave that I had seen come in after me the excuse that they didn't have a bed was a complete lie. After hours of again, waiting in the emergency room, I was taken back to a bed and nothing was done for me except a blood draw. The PA would not come and talk to me and the nurse was nonexistent. I went for a CT scan where they found. I had a kidney stone and a kidney infection. These findings were dismissed by the PA as she barely spoke to me, walking by my room telling me that they would culture my urine for the kidney infection to see what bacteria it would grow. Meanwhile, I left in extreme pain was given a shot of Zofran for the nausea after 4 1/2 going on five hours now, then just discharged. Does anybody know of a good lawyer who handles men malpractice cases?

He is a supervisor and lastnight was his night off. He came in to help his fellow employees. He is a man of excellence. He is attentive , never waited for any of our requests. He explained everything to us. He would come in and out of the room to make sure she was OK and to give us updates. He answered all our questions and put her at ease. He educated us about xrays, the flu, what to expect next, the amount of Tylenol and ibrofuren to take once home. He even took the time to make sure my daughter had a note for work. Thanks to Jason we had a wonderful experience. This is the only place we will go when ER services are needed.

Waited in a room after they collected a urine sample from me. All just for the PA to walk in and ask if I knew I had a severe UTI.... Yes yes I did. I just wanted to know why I've had so many and been to urgent care multiple times as well as being on meds multiple times. I figured they would check my kidneys or listen to my concerns but all he asked was if I had allergies to medications and that was it. No exam, no further questions. Now I have to pay for two separate bills just for them to run a urine sample and have me wait in a room. Never going back. Urgent care would've been way cheaper and easier. The second star is for it at least being clean.
