During the call, she repeatedly interrupted me, spoke in a dismissive manner, and implied that I was being dishonest regarding prior contact with the office. Specifically, when I referenced a previous visit to the Drew Street office on December 8, 2025, at approximately 11:00 a.m., she responded, "That's funny because it's not documented." I did, in fact, visit the Drew Street office on December 8, 2025. The in-person staff at that location have consistently treated me with professionalism, kindness, and respect, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I strongly encourage Social Security to review and audit phone interactions for professionalism and consistency in the information being provided. It's been a long time since a review, and this place has gotten faster over the years. There's always a wait unless you get here at like 7:45am( they open at 8:30am). They have plenty of people working the windows now and average is about 15-30 minutes a visit. It's so crazy they have to limit out of county residents till 4 pm. Do yourself a favor and come get a terrible photo of yourself.

If people slow down a bit, and hit the Pinellas trail, the old rail line bulges west just north of Curlew and harkens back to a more simple time. The first home built here was in 1875, and as more folks settled in Florida during the golden citrus years, this village saw sleepy prosperity with its orange groves and fishing wharfs buzzing with activity. Tampa Road, which originated here, was the first paved road leading into Tampa, directly connecting the big city with Oldsmar, Dundein, Palm Harbor and Ozona. Things are obviously much different now. The village is quiet, laid back and the vibe is a kin to Cedar Key on a Monday night. They've got their own post office, a BBQ joint, pizzeria, pub and plenty of coastal property to catch a sunset. To me, this place is far removed from traffic, tourism, unexploited, raw and uncut--pure Florida. I absolutely love it. Oh, and all streets are golf cart friendly.

Cheap place to mail things…read more Fun fact, USPS is cheaper than UPS which is cheaper than FedEx. I once had to mail my sister something she forgot and I went to UPS. Wow was she mad because it turns out UPS is more expensive than USPS. It is now ingrained into my head that when I want to mail something on the cheap, go to USPS. It seems like there is only one guy working here because every time I go it is the same guy. He is super friendly and helpful. Basically our exchange always goes like this. Me: *plopping items on the counter* What is the cheapest way to mail this? He then tells me and lends me all the items to complete my purchase, e.g. sharpies, tape, etc. For instance, my coworker forgot his lime squeezer and shot glass at my house. Honestly, I thought why don't you just buy another one, it will probably be the same price to mail it. Well, jokes on me because it was only $4! And that was including buying the padded envelope. This USPS is inside the Shell gas station. I have never seen a line but I do tend to go at odd hours. This is definitely my go to whenever I need to mail something.
