****The Lab, Injection Clinic, Radiology****…read more The Lab I recently had lab work done and their front desk staff always seem bitter. They don't smile, greet you, or appear friendly. Its like they are herding cattle. This is not the experience with the staff performing the blood draws. They are friendlier and professional. It's also nice they have gotten better at not having to poke around for those of us with tiny veins. Injection Clinic Got my flu and Covid shots recently. The Covid shot hurt more than the flu. Had 1 done in each arm by an LVN. She was efficient and friendly. The wait was approximately a 1/2 hour however you can drive through to the back of the medical center for these shots as well. Radiology Went in recently for imaging and the area was clean and quiet. There was no wait and the staff who assisted me were cordial. The equipment for mammograms has been upgraded over the years but there has to be a better way to do routine screening than smashing the girls to smitherins. Lol.

I stopped by Kaiser Vacaville for some blood work. I originally made an appt for this morning,but,…read moreoverslept through it. I decided to stop by when the rain calmed down a bit. The lab is located on the 2nd floor, station A24. This is for walk ins only. If you have a lab appointment, the sign will redirect you to A11. This Kaiser lab location has you take a number ticket and wait for your number to be called by reception. From there, reception will verify your info with your Kaiser member card. Once done with reception, I found a vacant table to sit until my number was called by the lab staff. I didn't wait long before me number was called. The lab tech that helped me was friendly and was really great about getting my blood (I have very small, tricky veins that love to move when poked by a needle) after the second try (You guessed it, my vein moved the 1st time). I was done in no time. Although the process was quick, it would have been faster if I kept my appointment. There was a lot of other patients waiting in the lobby when I arrived and kept coming as I was leaving. I would love to dsay I won't be back. But, most likely will be for my healthcare. LOL. My experience there was excellent from the admit department to the pre op room and recovery room. The nurses , all of the staff and especially my surgeon Dr . Brooks and his assitant Dan , the anesthesiologist .. i was treated with so much care . My recovery has been so excellent . I struggled with severe pain for 2 years and now I'm having no pain , my surgical site pain is minimum and tolerated . I had my staples removed today , walking into my surgeons office with the walker and in no pain was such a blessing ! Thank you Dr Brooks for all You have done . Since my daughter's primary care physician did not have any availability when needed, my husband…read moreand I scheduled an appointment for her at this Walk-in Care Clinic, since they unfortunately do not have one in Fairfield. Upon arrival, we were greeted and checked-in by the staff at the front desk, who seemed friendly enough. Since we arrived quite early, we had a little wait before being called back to be seen. We are pleased by the overall quality of care that our daughter received here. The medical assistant and nurse practitioner who saw our little one were friendly and excellent with our daughter. The nurse practitioner was knowledgable on the various illnesses currently going around and prescribed the appropriate medication for her. Overall, we are thankful that there are walk-in care options when primary care physicians do not have any availability for that given week. However, walk in care unfortunately does not see all types of patient complaints. If you have a sick child, this is definitely a viable option though.

I walked in the office (thought it was open at 8:00am guess the place opens at 9am, but you wouldn't have known that because there were 5 patients in the waiting room sitting down and the door wasn't locked it was open). The receptionist at the counter said that the place doesn't open until 9 and that they were about to have a staff meeting, and there is one ahead of you. Did you hear me? (Being very snooty about it. I asked if they could schedule me for a 9am appointment (since there were already 5 other people in the waiting room a few were waiting for occupational health and there was one in line waiting for a medical appointment. But I'm not allowed to wait in the waiting room area or at the very least have my information taken down for a scheduled appointment after 9am? I'm done with this location! I'm either too early to be helped or most of the time I come in and they say that they're full and to try the Dixon location. Not to mention, Northbay Regional as a whole has crappy service, low on staff, and if you go to the Vacavalley Hospital to stay overnight, they redirect you to the Fairfield NorthBay Hospital because they don't have enough beds available. And the Fairfield NorthBay Hospital sucks! I had pneumonia last year and had to stay at their hospital WITHOUT A TOILET in my room! And kept having to have my waste disposed of like I was in a 3rd world country. F NorthBay! I'm going back to Kaiser! September open enrollment can't come soon enough!
