Oct; 2009; At first they (Ian and Arlene Simpson) corrected ear ringing caused by a misaligned neck vertebrae from another chiropractor doing a unbalanced alignment. Then, when I wanted to stop treatment because I told them I feel fine, and do not need any more treatments; they talked me into staying longer, then started doing the same unbalanced, neck, and back misalignments that the old chiro applied that caused health problems! I ended up at U-Mass hospital Belmont street, Worcester, MA on Friday night (after Arlene Simpson did a lot of unbalance neck, back alignments) with vertigo, blind spots in my vision. Ian and Arlene Simpson, Highland Chiropractic did not answer my messages asking for help all weekend. Said they did not recognize my number on their cell phone. Took me in on Monday morning, kept me waiting in the office with vertigo, fear as he complained for 10 minutes about his parking space. Then he did another bad neck alignment, increased the vertigo, then threw my back out with a one sided unbalanced alignment; I asked him to please do the other side so its balanced like a good chiro does. He said he wont because if it does not pop I will complain so he may as well not even bother trying. Then he, Ian Simpson, said I will never be cured and have to stay with them for 240 appointments and more for life! Then made me sign a release form stating I agree injury can occur from chiropractic treatment. Other new chiropractors then examined me after this injury and said highland had a main vertebrae on the base of my neck that connects to the rest of the spine twisted on the spine and many other mis-alignments. Took 5 chiros before I found 2 that would take the risk of repairing Highlands damage. Said these are the kind of chiros that give good chiropractors a bad name! I am still suffering dizziness, neck pain, vision, hearing problems, numbness in arms, cant work, difficulty walking after 18 months!! Cant sleep without waking up partly blind, dizzy... Keep yourself and children away from these Criminals!! They like to work on kids, sports injuries. Call Medical for a list of 4+ other patient injury complaints against Highland! Example MACA and bilberry LEAF cause Thyroid hormone impairment and other health problems. Update; Sept., 2014; honest doctors took x-rays and fixed as much of the damage they could that the Simpsons caused. Took years to get over the vertigo, trouble walking, sleeping, bouts of blindness, wandering eye, double vision, many other problems these evil chiropractors caused. This is a…read moreCovid-related issue that of course stands apart from the quality of their care, the skills of their clinical staff and/or the kindness of their front desk staff, but it is a major issue. They are the ONLY business, medical or otherwise, whom I have visited over the course of this past year whose Staff don't wear masks. It was so jarring to see, given the circumstances in which we live (and are trying to leave in our collective past!) As a patient breezed in sans mask, checked in with the front desk staff, and went back for a treatment, I noted that said patient had no mask on (I wasn't sure what to make of the unmasked reception staff quite yet - I kept thinking that surely I had walked into the empty waiting room during a time that they had let their guard down, surely they'd grab/put back on their masks - but no!) The front desk staff staff nodded, noting how "some of our patients have medical exemptions, so they aren't required to wear a mask." It was comical, as they were both standing there not wearing masks either. I noted that neither of them were wearing masks either, and how odd it seemed, given that no other business this past year have permitted such a thing (which is prudent and wise during you know, a pandemic wherein it is sort of important for a business to Do The Right Thing, set a good example, you name it...) One of the two staff members noted that in her case, she too has a medical exemption. Really now? This must be a colony for people who all have "exemptions", because wow, no one pulls this crud anywhere else. The other staff person just kept standing there smiling at me. Umm...another patient walked in without a mask and proceeded to their treatment. It was wild. My chiro was happy to wear a mask (but he clearly doesn't wear one much; it sat like a flat rectangle on top of his face, slipped under his nose a few times, etc.) This is a place of business, a medically-focused one at that. I find it awfully curious that ALL of their staff (and apparently patients other than me) claim medical exemptions; talk about taking advantage of a policy. None of us love masking up. I have yet to be inoculated for Covid. My husband's colleague (who works remotely but who has to be tested at points before on-site gigs) - young, no co-morbities....discovered that he had asymptomatic covid during one of those PCR tests. He felt fine. He sure didn't about a month later, when he awoke to what ended up being a week plus of being bedridden with scary fevers, low blood O2, GI issues, etc. Now he gets to worry about lifetime organ damage. In his 30s. Asymptomatic covid is ABSOLUTELY a thing, and not to be underestimated. You and your staff should be ashamed, Dr. Meininger. You are all playing Russian roulette with your health.

She has been the only chiropractor I have seen that includes adjustments along with stretching, heat when needed and muscle massage. She gets it right every time!! If you are looking for a great chiropractor, she is it. You will not regret your choice coming here. She is very experienced in what she does. He encouraged me to ask him any questions so that I can understand what and why the discomfort may be happening. In the 2nd appointment, he explained the test results and next steps to me in "common people's" terms. It was also my first adjustment and he worked on the area where I've been having discomfort for a while. Later that evening when I laid in bed, that area no longer gave me the discomfort!
