Previous homeowners had windows installed by a contractor who sources from NBP. They are covered under a lifetime warranty. The previous homeowners left all of their papers. We are still covered, per the warranty. Now the contractor tells us that NBP was sold and won't honor warranties anymore. This sounds crazy. I called NBP and their associate (in the rudest tone imaginable) tells me I have to talk to the contractor. The warranty I have is from the manufacturer. They are the manufacturer. Contractor is telling me the manufacturer won't replace the (defective) windows for free--I have to pay $180 per sash (half a window) and that this is a "deal." I can't believe that this is a "deal" given that--of our 8 windows (16 sashes), we have had to replace 6 sashes (37.5%) in the last 3.5 years... And where will the new sashes they want me to pay for come from? NBP. But those would be covered under a new lifetime warranty... NBP will not even talk to me "you need to talk to your contractor" is immediately followed by them hanging up after I (politely ask) if they can verify if the warranty is still active. read more

crusader windows installed in 2018 & 3 - 4 years later, a brown algae is growing on the the top panes in between the glass! As of now, the algae is growing in 5 windows both top & bottom sashes. It appears the windows that are facing east that have been affected. I don't have the receipt from the contractor. From what I've been reading in the reviews from other dissatisfied customers & Northeast Building Products reluctance to honor their warranty on their defective windows, I guess I have to gear up for a fight to replace these disgusting sashes. They replaced my sashes once already and the second ones are failing also within the warranty time. I also paid for the energy package on all my 17 windows and some sashes aren't foam filled like the energy package says. BAD I was a GC in Bucks county and used this companies windows all the time. Homeowner misunderstands the process! NBP Windows and Doors has been in business for over 50 years and has manufactured millions of windows sold in the Northeast, Midwest and South. They are dedicated to serving ALL of their customers. What homeowners do NOT realize is that they buy their windows from a remodeling company. Their contract is with them. NBP Windows has an agreement with the remodeler that they will install the product correctly and have their customers register the warranty. If that is done and service is needed, the homeowner should contact the remodeler. The remodeling company will order the needed materials. They stand behind their warranty but the process must be followed. If it's not followed properly, your remodeler should be contacted and reviews directed towards them not NBP. read more

This company absolutely does not stand behind their products. We have a huge bay window that has had mold beginning between the panes for a couple years and is just growing upwards more and more. I emailed them twice, and they said they don't have warranty cards on file, which isn't true. On top of that, the windows have stickers right on them saying 'warranty - do not remove', yet the company is still saying they aren't covered under warranty. I have been using this company's windows at least 25 years for projects allover the phildelphia area with very few problems and when a problem arose Northeast was easy to deal with. My last order was for 7 windows we installed in Langhorne pa. At about 8 months the seals on two sashes failed and the glass fogged. I called Northeast but was told that no warranty was in place because I failed to register the the windows at the time on install. I told them that I had never done that before but they still refused to honor their warranty on windows that were less than a year old. They explained that they had new management and this is now their policy. I had to order and pay for the sashes as I was honoring my warranty to my customer. $240 bucks and my time to install but I try to honor my word. All Good, I thought but guess what? Got a call and two more sashes have failed. So I will be back at northeast to order and PAY FOR their poor workmanship. My last order of 10 windows came from Lowes, similar quality, better price and a written warranty that doesn't require you to jump through hoops for parts (I know for sure as I called and checked before I ordered). Stay away for this dishonest company! We had a lifetime warranty from them. Their windows started to fail: seal was broken. It was manufacturer fault and defect. So same problem. We had their windows installed back in 2018. We had 2 seals break in 2023. It took a long time to get them replaced but were replaced after around 6 months. At that time, the installer said these were defective windows but no probelm if we had others go bad. I just called about another defective window seal and now am told we have to pay $180 per sash since NBP doesn't manufacture our original window (out of warranty and get a new warranty with the new window) and Power Windows is doing us a favor by only charging $180. HA! HA! HA! Sounds like both companies- bad news. Isn't there something we all can do. A class action suit or something??????? What good is a lifetime warranty!!!!!! read more

Buyer Beware! Do not buy windows from this company. Nine of our twenty windows are failing. NINE!! Almost half of our windows are filled with mold. Our windows were installed in 2013. We've called multiple times. We've talked to management. Nobody cares. They offer to email us some information so we can order new windows at full price. We reached out to a local window repair company and we're told this company has been taken over by new ownership and it's unfortunate but they have since gone down hill. This company does not stand behind their products and will not answer questions about their windows. We have 18 windows that started failing after 7 years. They have mold between the panes. You can barely see out of them at this point. I called to ask if they have fixed the issues with the windows before I pay for new sashes. They refuse to answer that question. Why would someone pay to have new sashes installed when you cannot confirm the window has been fixed? Poorly run and shady company. I do not recommend. read more

Had 5 double hung, 6 small sliding, and 4 large sliding Northeast Building Products windows installed, by Power Home Remodeling, also a bad company, in 2013 and so far I had to have 5 replaced pre pandemic and am still waiting on 5 more to be replaced. I called in 2019 for the windiest of the current 5 that need replacing and since then 1 by 1 the seals have just continued to break. so now I am up to 5. I keep getting told my Power that the manufacturer is back ordered. I have a lifetime warranty on these windows but I will do no good if they don't honor it! The most unprofessional and inconsiderate group of people I've ever done business with. They took over 4 months to deliver 8 windows. And on the day they were "promised" to be delivered, not only were they not delivered but the salesman, Joe Pearl, did not have the decency or consideration to contact me to tell me the windows were not being delivered as promised in writing. Instead, I lost a day of work, traveled from Annapolis to Baltimore for nothing and his only comment when called was "we have other windows to make ". Then the accts division specifically ignored my authorization payment amount in writing and charged my card the entire balance. Worst customer service and keeps getting worse. Been a customer for past 10 years and finally not coming back. Ordered 19 windows and was guaranteed for a certain date. Well that was a week ago and after finally complaining they came in. Well set up a delivery for a Monday and find out the delivery never made it on the truck. Their response wasn't we will get the windows right out to you, it was that route is only on a Monday so u need to wait. Last straw I'm done. read more
