The staff was attentive, friendly, and proactive with appointment reminders and communication throughout the process. The plumber, Chris L., was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Most importantly, he arrived on time--which is something I greatly appreciate. He took the time to explain the work being performed and answered my questions thoroughly. The reason for the reduced rating is the pricing. The quoted cost to replace a shower valve and raise a shower head exceeded $1,500, even though I had already supplied the valve. Fortunately, I was able to take advantage of a military discount, which brought the cost to about 1,350.00. While I was satisfied with the service and workmanship, I found the original price to be extremely high for the scope of the work. Costs like these are one of the reasons many homeowners are increasingly choosing to learn and tackle projects themselves rather than hiring professionals.

Since then, whenever I've had a question or an issue, a call to Crisafulli takes care of it. Their crews are professional and efficient. And while plumbing and heating is never inexpensive, I never feel like I haven't got my money's worth. I have a service contract with them for our generator. And I have recommended them to neighbors on several occasions and they have been very satisfied. My grandfather established a plumbing and supply company in the Midwest that remains highly successful since it's establishment in 1933. So knowing that Crisafulli has been around for 85+ years gives me great confidence that they know what they're doing, and that they do it with integrity.

Comfort mechanics deserves 10 stars. I am not being paid to write this. I know people read reviews…read morein an attempt to make a knowledgeable decision. The situation: My 25+ year old furnace was making a noise the day after Christmas 2022. The previous company I had look at the furnace back in August had informed me it was on its last leg. I attempted to call that company again for service. I didn't know it at the time, but it was lucky that they didn't answer their phone (despite indicating they were operating 24/7). Doing a little more research online I realized there were some legal issues stemming from bad business practices. So I did what everyone else does --I Googled to see who I could get to come check out the noise. My dad had always done all my plumbing and heating, but he passed away a year ago. I knew I was going to need to establish a new business relationship with a plumbing and heating company. Enter Comfort Mechanics. 1. They answered their phone. There was no attitude, only friendly customer service. I expected no one would be available until the next day to come out and check it, but I was wrong. Jeff was there within an hour and he called first. 2. The problem was quickly diagnosed and fixed. That's all he had to do. But once again, excellent customer service came in to play. Jeff noticed my furnace was not just on its last leg, but that something was cracked and most likely was leaking carbon monoxide. He offered to install a CO detector for my -- and my pets'--safety. 3. Satisfied that I had a CO2 detector, he went on to discuss the new problem and confirmed what I already knew: It was time for a whole new unit. It was just one more very large stress that I wished I could've avoided. But it's important to have safely running heat and air conditioning. Jeff walked me through a lot of options explaining the pros and the cons of each one and gave pricing that he could back up. Obviously any job could take more time or need more parts once you get into it, but he was able to back up the ballpark figures. His quote was half of what the other company had given me. Another perk was the new unit I was buying came with a sizable rebate from National Grid. But we all know what a hassle rebates can be, and we all know how difficult power companies can be. Here's the best part: Jeff's wife takes care of the submissions for the rebates. All she needed was the account name and number. That extra little bit of customer service is worth it's weight in gold. 4. If you have read this far, thank you, and I'll cut to the chase because I understand all you want to know is whether you should go with this company. I found this company and its staff to be friendly, polite, knowledgeable, trustworthy -- and could not have been more impressed. This is a family-owned and family-run business. They are honest and they back up their work. In the middle of my project they found other serious problems, and they communicated every step of the way. I always knew the full extent of the problem and was in complete control of the decision making for the solution. They cleaned up my messy basement and took away all the old units and even a couple other old pumps I had lying around. They were super considerate of my time, my money, my property and that I didn't want my pets to get out. Their clothes were clean and neat and their van cleaner and neater than my house! When I got a Walmart delivery during the project, I even had help carrying in the bags! The bottom line is when you have plumbing/heating/air conditioning problems it is going to be stressful unless you know how to fix it yourself. But Comfort Mechanics gave me peace of mind. I now know if I have any problems I have someone I can call who truly operates 24/7 and can fix my issues quickly and correctly. This is a hometown company with professionalism that is rarely seen nowadays. I would highly recommend them, and I plan on using Comfort Mechanics for all my future, HVAC needs. I am recommending them to everyone I know, from my neighbors to complete strangers. I feel as secure now as I did when my dad was alive. Thank you Comfort Mechanics!

Dane and the other technicians were highly skilled and efficient setting up a whole new furnace & AC system. They paid attention to every detail from labeling the electric panel to showing me how to change the air filter and shut down the system after completing their work. Again, they were super patient with answering all my questions before they left! This was my third install experience with Jack Hall Plumbing & Heating in the last 5 years. First was a tankless hot water heater installation shortly after I bought my home, then a whole home water filter within the last year. In addition to these 3 new installations they also moved a refrigerator water line when I replaced my refrigerator and have made routine maintenance visits to service the plumbing, heating and AC in the time we have been doing business together. Every experience I have had from the simple routine maintenance to great big projects has been top notch service, fair pricing, and a great value for high quality work. The team at Jack Hall is the best in the area. Thank you!!

The work was OK, but our general contractor had to compensate for some things he didn't do. Billington's time at the house was a little over 12 hours, but the office billed us for 20 hours. We asked for an explanation and the response was that they have time at the supply house getting materials if they are not at the job location. We felt that the rounding up of hours, the number of hours at the supply house getting materials, and the number of hours listening to stories about the Billington's change in diet are excessive. It's great to hear that a change in diet has improved health, but it's not worth several hundred dollars.

We recently replaced a piece of necessary plumbing equipment. All appeared status quo with no issues. A month later, on a trip downstairs to a seldom used storage room beneath the new fixture, I find we've added a 'swimming pool' - a flooded mess of ruined paint, sheet rock soaked requiring a tear out down to the studs. A call to Billington, the contractor who'd handled the install, was met with not, "We'll be out right away!" But a promise to come by in a few days. Upon arriving a few days later, we were told they didn't have the right tools to address the situation and would be back. Four days later having heard nothing we had to call again. Once again, several days went by until they were able to come out. At that time, it was denial city - it became the house's fault due to it's "age"...and it was the existing piping that was now, "outdated" and "should've been replaced" before installing a new XYZ...As we had been hanging around, waiting for Billington to come back out and address the situation, we had called in not only a handyman, but another local(see my other reviews) plumbing company to take a look at this situation as we weren't sure Billington was ever going to return. We were advised, that there was nothing wrong with the existing piping, and it appears that the problem was installation using the incorrect parts. I get it - mistakes happen, and had the response been a prompt, " we'll take care of it" I would've been not only impressed but more than willing to hire them if needed in the future. And while they did correct the issue, they were bold enough to suggest us filing a homeowners claim for the ancillary damage and made no offer to pay for the repairs to the sheet rock, woodwork, etc. So we'll be footing that bill as well. Lesson learned!

It was a one man job than only took about 30 minutes. I'd give them 5 stars except for the price, which was not unreasonable for the time spent. I mentioned that we are selling the house and we were looking to repair an issue with the water pressure for the new owners. The plumber that came by called me and told me his recommendations. Two days later, I received an estimate for much more than what was recommended on the phone, and an invoice for the estimate itself. I responded questioning that estimate charge, because it wasn't mentioned in advance, and why there was work on the estimate that we were told we wouldn't need. The woman that responded was nice with her explanations, but it still doesn't sit right with me to charge for an estimate, or to not say that ahead of time. A week later, she called to follow up, and I told her because it was a Yelp thing, someone else was taking a look for us and I would be in touch if we wanted to continue with them; or I would pay the invoice for the estimate online. The other company that came told us everything Mr. Rooter had added to their estimate was not needed. If those things were a problem, we would have no water. So it would have been a waste of money. Two weeks later, after not reaching out to me again to follow up, she called my realtor and threatened to put a lien on our house, and interfere with the sale, if we don't pay the $200 estimate fee! That is extremely unprofessional! and $200 is very high, considering it cost your company nothing in parts, etc, and your employee was only at my home for 16 minutes. I am far from happy with my experience. Tyler, their plumber, was great! He seemed to know exactly what it was talking about, he was very nice on the phone and professional. But their office is a disaster and the customer service is a 1/10. To respond.. I never spoke tot Tyler over the phone regarding the bill, nor was I ever rude to him in any manner. I was never told in advance about any fees for estimates, so I would love to hear the recorded call you claim you have. I also responded to the email with the invoice for the estimate that I was unaware of a charge for it, and the response I received was "yes, that was our failure to communicate." I also did not say I would be using the estimate in negotiations for my sale, so it was not a "real estate estimate." It was a homeowner trying to get work done on their home. And the work is the home needs IS being done, by someone else. You are simply unhappy that I got multiple estimates done, and chose someone else, which I have every right to do, whether I am selling the home or not. Good luck to you and your corporate business.
