Dan and crew do an awesome job. He's done projects at several of our families houses. It always turns out great and timely.

Many people within their team have agreed that I should be compensated for their mistake but no one can seem to make that happen. I wouldn't waste your time or your money with this company. It's sad that to some, it's the only option. Whatever happened to the customer being important?

However they've had seven technicians come out on different occasions most of them said that they installers ran it the wrong way. Finally, they dug underneath my driveway and now they left a 1 inch piece of up in the air with caution tape still nodded around the line. Apparently, the grants that do the digging aren't the ones that do the termination I don't care I've called so many times to get zero response and all I want is for them to do is bury the line. The Internet is fantastic but the customer service when it comes to getting this line out of the middle of my yard is ridiculous and they don't care keep telling you is I'm gonna escalate this one escalate seven of them like can we just bury a line if a jogger is running down my sidewalk and trips over that piece of homeowners insurance gets hit mine. . I'm so disappointed and disgusted with the customer service that you get from the ghetto people that you call to try to get things done..

The initial phone call just to find that out took over an hour. What if I had to get to work during the next service windows? I would have needed to go 3 or 4 days before getting it fixed. The more time has gone on the worse their response to damage/loss of service has gotten.

You guessed it, the internet goes down. The customer service was always friendly, and I would have recommended them to anyone who doesn't heavily depend on the internet (like I do for my job), but then... I cancelled my service to go back to a dependable provider, a week before my month's service was up. I sent back their equipment, with their label, the very next day. The tracking shows when it was shipped and received. They took $68 out my account anyway the following week. When I called to ask what happened they gave me a song and dance about billing until their equipment is received and processed. Which is bullshit, but I figure it will be a week at most because I still had a week left before they billed me again. They sent me a check 45 days later for $11.45. Excuse me? So Metronet essentially stole from me. I no longer had their services OR their equipment, all verifiable, and they took money out of my account anyway. I'm going to take it up with my bank because I got no where with them on the phone. The woman was nice, the company is trash. It's not even about the money at this point, it's the principle. They took money from me for no service, no equipment. That's stealing.

They went above and beyond each time they came to my house. However, they had to come often because our panel needed resetting and our camera doorbell's connection was off quite often. So, you will need technicians at your house at least every 3 months I found. Also he camera is lagging and rarely would pull up on my phone when I was away from the house. But the worst part was trying to transfer the service when we moved. We moved and didn't need a alarm system in our new home and when we tried to transfer Vivint to the new owners they wouldn't honor the transfer. They set the new owners up with a NEW account and told me they couldn't do anything about it. Even though the new owners set up an account with Vivint because of me, they still told me I would have to pay the 3 years cancellation fee left on my 5 year contract. This was after I already paid off my equipment. It gets worse. When the new owner tried to call in to transfer, the representative told her they don't do that kind of thing and that she would have to set up a new account. They told her that again when she tried to call back in after I explained the issue. So, Vivint lied to the new owner so they could keep my account and get a new one. Unfortunately, they have lost their customer service centered value and are prioritizing profits over customers. The sad part is I was a somewhat happy customer and advocated for them with the new owner. All they had to do was transfer my $42/mo to her. But instead I was on the phone for 4 hours on 12/23/25 (yes, the day before Christmas eve) trying to figure out why they couldn't just transfer or combine the accounts. They escalated me to their supervisor and he also wouldn't help. In fact, he told me the only way is if the new owner called the specific transfer number. When she did, they again told her they don't do that sort of service. DO NOT GO WITH VIVINT. They are not customer focused and in fact lie and conduct shady business.

Seems it is common practice for Vivint. My fault for not reading their fine print. Then, half of my equipment failed within the first two years. Both exterior cameras failed and smoke detector. Lastly, when I could finally cancel the service, the gentleman I was talking to on the phone stated I had no contract and now that I want to cancel, I'm on a month-to-month contract and have to pay pro-rated amount because it takes them 30days to cancel your contract. They took my money at the beginning pretty fast though!
