What sets this place apart is its friendly environment and students who respect each other and help each other get better, its administration Colleen such a caring individual and finally the owner Lisa who is an amazing enthusiast of the sport and a good judge but I think my review would be incomplete if I did not talk about what makes this place great, above all else, the greatness of a MMA academy is because of its students but also because of its instructors. Matador MMA is blessed to have an elite instructor cohort which has an active presence in competitive MMA spheres; starting with Professor Pavel who was the silver medalist for Ontario Open Jiu Jitsu championships in May 2026, followed by Coach Naz who won the Mayhem Fight Promotions Boxing Championship also in May 2026 followed up by Coach Anastasia who won her ONE championship fight in Thailand in July 2026. Prof. Dane, Coach Xavier and Coach Alex train the young Muay Thai fighters who go and win new competitions and belt levels, Coach Alex gives his all to little ones learning the techniques and giving them confidence to be better day in and day out... and finally the one and only Coach Ivan who trains the kids and adults of this club, a man of monumental stature and one whose leadership in the octagon and on the mats keeps churning out warriors. For those parents whose kids train at Matador MMA could not be more thankful to have a cohort of teachers who give their all to give life skills to our children, for that we are ever thankful to them. Matador is the place if you want yourself and/or your kids excelling in life as the discipline learnt here goes a long way in their daily lives and education. My eldest son has ADHD and for years he never wanted anything to do with karate, because he doesn't like to fight or hurt people. Thankfully we followed his best friend into a trial class after observing many classes. Pat Sensei is a very kind, likeable and knowledgeable teacher. His encouraging and supportive attitude affects all who come to the Dojo. My son has shown increased focus and he is self driven with a desire to master his kata. He has sustained focus, an aptitude to do better and he gets a good physical workout too. Goju ryu karate teaches how not to fight so this approach/philosophy suits my son. As the parent of an ADHD, child we look for ways to best help our children thrive in all areas of life; exercise, better sleep, focus, sustained attention, working memory, impulse control, self-esteem, respecting others, problem solving, and recognizing social cues and social skills. I am so happy that in Meibukan karate and with Pat Sensei, all of these skills are used. The many different coloured belts and ages of other students allows for students to learn alongside and from peers close to their age as well as other adults. This is all done in a super friendly, supportive and welcoming environment. Pat Sensei is driven by a love of karate and teaching and not by sales and this speaks a lot to me about the kind of place we want to be. After sitting on the sidelines and watching the many classes (usually I would drop the boys off for activities and go!), I couldn't help but enjoy the atmosphere and community. I asked my husband to come and watch with me. He too was impressed. We both found ourselves saying that we would join too. I'm shocked because I never would say that I was interested in karate whatsoever. For me, I have a foggy forgetful Mom brain and the distraction of this gentle learning felt refreshing and emptied my overly busy mind for the duration of the class. We will all progress in our own time at our own pace but I'm glad we are on this journey as a family. As close to middle age parents, we have our post covid health in mind and joining with our boys shows them that we value our health too. I highly recommend Pat Sensei and Meibukan Karate!

The owner of the school Grand Master Park has the most calm assertive kind demeanor you could imagine. He was one of the original founders of Tae Kwon Do and he teaches 2 classes per week at this location. The other instructor Mr Shane is patient and consistent with the kids It's great value for the money, for under a thousand the dollars you can enroll your kid in this school. If you pay for the full year up front, they give you the gi and first belt. Next your kid or yourself can attend 6 days per week. They have three classes per night and one on Saturday. No one has a panic attack if you attend one class instead of the other. Now my kid is great, but he also has some issues and the instructors are really fantastic with him and encourage him and are really patient and kind. One time my son fell and the other kids started to laugh at him. (It was kind of funny the way he fell) but the instructor came over and asked everyone how they would feel if they were doing their best and people laughed at them. That put a complete stop to the laughing. That is just one example among many of how the instructors here respect and take care of the mental and physical well being of their charges. There is no macho posturing. You can also get a few trial classes to see if your kid or yourself likes it. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try.

After doing my research, this seems to be the best place, the price is certainly a lot cheaper ccompared to having it at an indoor playground. They allow outside food and cake which is awesome as some places don't allow it or you got to pay extra. The place is really big, very spacious. A big area for playing and a separate area for eating. They also do all the set up and clean up. The package also includes a mini Taekwondo lesson, piñata which is filled with candy to take home, pizza & juice boxes, games/obstacle course. All the kids and guests enjoyed it. The adults were able to relax and hang out while their kids were having fun with the obstacle courses and being entertained. Another thing I like about it is the package includes 15 kids and unlimited adults which is pretty important considering you usually would have more adults than children. The lady that owns it is very nice and accommodating. I would definitely consider booking another party here in the future. Definitely recommend 100%

She is a practioner of Taekwon-Do for over 35 years and she is the only woman in North America to receive her 8th Dan. Her passion for Taekwon-Do is highly noted through her classroom instruction. She motivates her students and pushes them to be the best that they can be. The reason why I enrolled my son at White Fang is because the classes are small and all the classes are taught by Master Scarcellone herself. Although she has a few black belt students assisting her in some of her classes, the instruction comes directly from this 8th Dan Master. You cannot ask for anything better than that. She also teaches adult classes as well. If you are thinking about studying/practicing Taekwon-Do for yourself or for your children, check out White Fang Taekwon-Do -- you will not be disappointed!!!!!
