Plentiful parking, a spacious interior and super happy staff are what you'll find inside. Everything is organized, incredibly clean, and it smells delightful inside. There's plants thriving in this space - and that says a lot. Our experience was a great one, the staff engaged us and seem knowledgeable about their offerings. When I tried to return it they refused and said I have to go through the manufacturer. They will maybe replace with a shipping charge of about 1/2 of the purchase price. The glass pipes are overpriced. I guess its to be expected... this $hit is a novelty here. There is stuff that I haven't seen since the 90's. The dreadlocked guy playing on his phone was friendly, the other guy not so much. He made me feel uncomfortable while choosing a piece, stared me down and didn't say a word. I only went here because I read online there was a lot to choose from... there wasn't. I will have to wait until Maine catches up or be disappointed. The photo of this business is no longer relevant, the windows are dirty and paper covered located in a super sketchy area. I was concerned about going in as it looks so sleazy. I did go in however and spent $300 on a Puffco peak. I brought it home and it was defective right out of the box. Within hours went back expecting fair customers service and an easy exchange. At Northern Lights there is NO after the sale customer service. I was told by a thoroughly gross woman manager that they would do nothing and that it was up to me to deal with Puffco. This sleazy business took our money and could care less about our result. Honestly I think this outfit should be investigated by authorities as they knowingly sell products that will cause you trouble. Just had the worst experience with this smoke shop. Can guarantee we will not spend another cent of our money at this establishment. A friend of mine and I tried to go in to shop. I had a mask on and he had a disability preventing him from wearing a mask. The employees proceeded to degrade us and tell us that they wouldn't serve him and kicked him out of the store for not wearing a mask. This is clearly discrimination against someone with a disability. Janet Mill's order clearly states if you have a disability or an exemption it isn't required. That being said, to go even further the ADA says it is against the law to discriminate against someone with a disability. We will be pressing charges. I will be telling all friends and family about this negative experience and recommending everyone boycott. They were very unpleasant, rude and childish about it. read more

Up until now I have had a good experience with this shop.....buying wrapping papers. and then I bought a twisty pipe and 5 minutes later its broken...... In any case I took the twisty nail out and pop goes the glass outer shell. I took it back to the store to try and get another glass tube and they refused to sell one to me. Also keep in mind I returned to the store within 10 minutes of buying this thing. They told me I had to buy a whole new one or take it up with the 7pipe company. I asked the owner to part out a whole one and charge me just the price of the tube and got a no. Wouldn't even entertain the idea of a return for a non faulty one. so long story short....don't buy from these people they have shitty customer service. On the bright side I can start my search for a better shop with higher standards. This place is great. Huge variety. I always find the staff to be very informative and nice. I was shopping for a gift once and this woman probably spent about 30 minutes with me knowing I was going to only spend $25. Another time we were making a big purchase and a different woman and a guy spent probably 45 minutes with us answering a million questions and being really helpful. This shop used to be my favorite and only stop for its products. Over the years, I have spent HUNDREDS here. No more. On Dec 23rd, I purchased a glass bong as a gift. When I bought the item, I had great help with the guy working that night. I told him the item was a gift and that I wasn't very experienced with what I was buying. He explained the different types, how it's used, pro's and cons if each type and helped me select what I thought what be the perfect gift. He also assured me that I would be able to exchange the item if I made the wrong choice. Wrong!!!! I went to the shop today an employee thete couldn't have been any worse. He wasn't willing to work with me at all. The item clearly hadn't even been unwrapped or used. All I wanted was to exchange the bong for one with a longer pipe. The one I bought was too short for its intended purpose and the receivers preference. Was told that NO exchanges or refunds could be made. I asked to speak with the manager and was told I could not. I was so upset I left the bong there and told them is never return. The employee just laughed behind my back. I'm very disappointed. Now that recreational marijuana is legal in this state, head shops will soon be a dime a dozen so they should reconsider their return/exchange/refund policy. Even more important, customers that frequent these types of items are faithful long time customers that return repeatedly and spend lots of money when they do. I used to like this place, but they sold me a defective product (small crack which was unnoticed until filled with water). I get it, this stuff happens occasionally. But unfortunately, unlike most stores, they won't accept exchanges. I wasn't even wanting a refund. I just wanted to exchange for a product I could actually use. I spoke directly with the manager and she would not allow the exchange (the employee was going to do it). So this is a direct policy of management, not an isolated incident. It's a shame, because I did like the layout and selection and had bought many things here and recommended it to many friends. But I can't buy from a place that sells me a defective product and won't allow a simple exchange. Please spread the word. Either go somewhere else (which will probably be cheaper, honestly) or demand that they demonstrate that the product is fully functioning before you buy it. She actually said in the future she would allow me to fill it with water to verify it worked, but who would ever think to do that before buying something? read more
