I believe this little gem has been renamed to "Jamie's Place". Not that it matters but if you're looking for "JT's" on the storefront, you're not going to find it. With that being said - I was working in the Flint area and decided I needed to find a new local spot for breakfast. Yelp lead me here and I'm so happy it did. I could probably sum up this whole review by simply saying, "I'm 40 years old and I was the youngest person in there by about 30 years". Meaning, the elder's know where to go for the good food! It was a smaller, quaint little place that had that family diner feel; nothing fancy. It's probably the first place I've been to in a while where everyone working just seemed to be happy to be there. Hot coffee was always on and available for a heat up. I got "Jamie's Skillet" covered with sausage gravy... Delicious! I don't know where they get their sausage from but it was perfection. The diner is re-named "Jamie's". First timer; we arrived on a Sunday morning around 8, it was a good choice on timing bc after that time you will be waiting for a table. (it's a small lil diner). Greeted when we walked in, seated ourselves and were offered what we would like to drink immediately. Our server was VERY kind! (I have to stay dairy-free and the server made note of that). Breakfast was great!! I loved the small dining experience -highly recommend!! Definitely going back!! Reminder; if you go at peak times you will wait for a table but it's worth it. read more

Nice little restaurant located on Miller Rd in Swartz Creek. The breakfast menu has what I would call basic fare where the menu centers round eggs, pancakes, omelette's, and similar type fare and not the specialty items you might see in some more upper scale restaurant. For Breakfast my wife and I both ordered the egg's over medium, potato's and meat breakfast with marbled French toast at a cost of $5.99 and hot coffee to wash it down. Relative to the food, the egg's were well cooked and avoided my big bugaboo of runny whites and still having the soft yolk I love for dipping my toast into. The sausage patties were nice sized with great taste and a little bit of spice to them. Lastly the potato's were very tasty but with a tad too much grease for our taste. Relative to the the coffee it was good and hot just the way I like it! Regarding the restaurant itself its rustic and a bit on the cozy side with what looks to be a fairly loyal clientele that frequents it on a regular basis where I can see this place filling up quickly on a weekend. Relative to the staff, they are super friendly with prompt service and great follow up. Overall this really is a great place for breakfast especially when you consider what $6 buys you these days (think McDonalds). The quality of food, service and friendliness of the wait staff pretty much ensures I will be returning in the future the next time I am in this area. read more

Bacon sausages and ham and hash brown. They served it on two plates there was so much food. Just stopped again. French toast and baked oatmeal were outstanding. Large portions as always. We stopped in to JT's on our way back from Owosso. We saw the Yelp reviews and wanted to give it a try as we were getting quite hangry. Located just off of the freeway in Swartz Creek, JT's is easy to get to and parking is best behind the strip area. It's a small place and simply decorated. I loved the small town feel it had. We ordered the patty melt as a basket with coleslaw and chili cheese fries, and the club sandwich as a basket with coleslaw and onion rings. You should have seen my eyeballs when the waitress brought out our food. There was so much food. The coleslaw was tasty but I prefer mine a little dry, but my hubby ate the rest of mine. He loved it. The onion rings were massive and deliciously crisp. The patty melt used a marble rye and had the perfect balance of onions and cheese. The chili cheese fries were a mountain of melted cheese and real chili. I was only able to eat half of my sandwich, two onion rings, and about 1/3 of my fries. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, there was lots of chit chat among the locals and I could tell they knew many of the customers that came in while we were sitting and eating. I ended up needing a box, and I actually teared up once we were on the freeway because I realized I LEFT MY BOX OF FOOD THERE. I will definitely be stopping in again sometime soon. I was invited out by friends for breakfast, slow service people who came in a good 15 minutes after us were served first with looked like our order, we were not the only ones to notice this. Food was not that great my order of eggs over easy were fried hard toast was burnt and they salt everything. Some old drunk unkempt farmer everyone referred to as "Ritchie" kept leering at all the woman. Save yourself the stop and visit Country Carriage or one of the fast food joints in town. read more

My wife and I visit a different restaurant every Sunday morning. Today's visit was at JT's Country Kitchen in Schwartz Creek. JT's is a very busy smaller family owned restaurant. Tables fill about as fast as they become available. A little disorganized, but the food is great. Well worth a visit. If you're from out of town, get off I-69 and try this place! Gotta have their baked oatmeal. When they offer toast, get their homemade cinnamon. Both are fantastic. Omelet and burrito flavors were good too. read more
