I chose this location because I trusted they would have some of the more efficient and knowledgeable appliance sales people. I went in, looked around, picked out one of the cheapest top-loader and dryer combos, and then stood there looking like I needed help for a few minutes. Eventually, a very nice woman whose name escapes me stumbled into my air of confusion, and offered guidance. I was out of there in 10 minutes flat with a delivery and install scheduled for the next day. The next morning, Sunday at a prompt 9am, two men arrived to deliver and install my new washing apparatuses. We blocked the entirety of my street with their truck for about an hour (apologies), but they got both machines up the stairs and into my kitchen/laundry room with ease. They immediately started both machines to ensure there were no leaks or issues. The part that took so long was me making them flip the way the door opened on the dryer, hahaha. My only gripe is that the dryer vent they installed seems way too long and forces the dryer to stick far out from the wall. Are dryer vents supposed to bend? I feel like that's asking for lint to get caught up in the bend. Alas, am I, just a girl, going to be forced to DIY? Fine, hand me my blade, I'll finish this.

Another one of the great local hardware stores in the city. Any time I have the opportunity to come…read moreto a local place, I do. Huffstutlers has never been on my radar before. But when I needed some hardware and had a meeting in Homewood, this was a suggestion by my wife. Most of the local places like this have been in their locations for years and are dated... which is part of the charm. This one however is either in a newer building or has been updated. But not knowing the history, I can't say for sure. The people inside were very helpful. Which was nice since I would have never found anything that I needed without Lewis and Clark. They mostly had what I needed. But I did notice some of the hardware drawers I looked in were bare. Luckily they had the quantity of the size toggle bolt I thought I needed (I ended up being wrong). All in all a pretty good experience.

They really have a good selection of stuff that crosses across several price points. I'm not sure of the quality of all the merchandise they have, but I've purchased stuff from them in the past when I needed something in a hurry and it has worked exceptionally well. The staff at this location were friendly and greeted me when I entered the store. They also asked if they could help me find anything. All in all a good place to shop for tools and things of the sorts. They do have a membership that you can join (does have a cost associated), but if you shop here enough it will pay for itself

Wow. Just wow. For more than 10 years my wife and I had trouble with our antique door knobs on our…read morefront door. The set screwa were too short and you can imagine the issues with the knobs pulling off. I tried lots of solutions including loctite blue which helped the screwa stay in placew, which helped, but never addressed the issue that the sets screws were simply too short (but we would have to get in a time machine to the 1940s to complain to the manufacturer) * A national hardware store had test openings that showed the screws were sized "1/4 - 20" but they didn't have the actual screws and the guy that was helping me said no one did * The owner of a mom and pop hardware store told me that longer set screws did not exist at all and that I needed to look at an antique store. He wouldn't even check * Then I went to Little Hardware at a Friend's suggestion.. I walked in and the guy who helped me introduced himself and shook my hand. He measured the set screw I had as "1/4 - 20" just like you he big retailer. He then immediately found matching sets screws that were longer (see photo). I had to buy a hex tool to entire I could connect the 4 screws on both knobs. The entire purchase was $15 but I would have paid a lot more to get these knobs right. And now, for the first time since we bought our old house I feel confident in our old door knobs Thank you Little Hardware -- I'm a customer for life!

This is a big box store with nothing special about it. They might have what you want or they might…read morenot. You might run across someone that knows everything about hardware or whatever it is you are there for or you may talk to three people who don't know anything about their products. I bought a washer on Labor Day sale so it was a great price. Less than a year later it broke and instead of repairing it they just refunded me the price I paid for it which was about half of the price of what the machine was selling for then. I went round and round with the manager.

The incompetence and lack of training from Home Depot Employees and False advertising from both Tuff Shed and Home Depot lead us to look elsewhere. If you are looking at spending thousands of dollars on a shed, this review is for you. we went in store on Sunday 7/19/2026 to inquire about the display model that is for sale the the Hoover, AL Home Depot Parking lot that is listed as such on the Tuff Shed website. Their site specifically sates to go to the customer service desk so they can access the "Order Now" website to complete our order. To note: ON THE SHED IN THE PARKING LOT, is SPECIFFICALLY STATES: NO DELIVER FEES, NO INSTALLATION FEES, AND NO SALES TAX. On this Sunday, the employee had no idea how to sell the shed or even find it on the Order Now site and advised us to come back on Monday morning. We both have full time jobs so could not do that, but tried to call the Home Depot Tuff shed rep multiple times throughout the day with no answer or response. We finally connected with their customer service who stated we should return to the store and go to the Pro Desk. So, today on 7/21/2026 we returned to this location and went to the Pro Desk. The initial employee also had no clue how to do complete a shed sale and called another employee to assist.... who also had no idea how to assist. So, she sat on the phone with Tuff Shed who had to walk her though the Order Now site process. When it can time for the final price, it was hundreds of dollars more than what was advertised. When we questioned that, they said that the no sales tax, fees, etc... only applies to certain States and Alabama is not one of them. When we told them that it is LITERALLY POSTED ON THE SIDE OF THE BUILDING IN THE PARKING LOT, no one went and checked, so I went out there and took my own pictures. They did not honor what was posted and neither did Tuff Shed who was still on the phone with them. This is the definition of FALSE ADVERTISING and is a bait and switch scam to get you in the door. DO NOT do business with either of these companies if you are in the market for a shed that will cost out thousands of your hard earned dollars, heaven forbid you had to try to file a warranty on one of these things if this is how they are upon initial purchase.

We couldn't find what we wanted so we went back to the front. Jay was there on his phone monitoring the self checkout. My husband asked him where to find adapters. Employee said they didn't have any (said 750 available online) and then wouldn't communicate with me to make sure we were on the same page about the material I was looking for, and someone who seemed more in-charge was standing nearby and didn't step in to help either. Was told "I could go in the back and look myself if I didn't believe him."
