Scammer alert. A disheveled youngish man told me they could fix my audio and that it's usually $1000, but they had the used part "just right now" and so it would "only be $500" long story short; I said no, waited until my friend could look at. He fixed my audio for $6, it was a blown fuse, that's it. The northfield tire "pro" told me my entire audio system computer needed replaced. I saved between $494-994. These people are either completely incompetent or blatantly scamming their customers out of hundreds to thousands of dollars. Do not under any circumstances go here. Ever. The only star is for Mike, he adjusted the price after the team working on my tire and trying to charge me, without ever confirming it with me, let alone discussing price. I wouldn't trust these folks babysitting a rock. Better luck, literally anywhere else. read more

I needed a new rack and pinion and they told me it would be $1,000 to fix. They gave me a rental car that they said was safe for me to drive with my 4 month old baby. Well the car they gave me was not safe, the check engine light started flashing (which is very bad) with my baby in the back of the car. Please do not trust these mechanics. Went in for an alignment for $99 bucks. I get a call saying they would not do the work unless I replaced other parts on their recommended list of repairs for $1300. When I said I would need to wait a bit to get $1300 next month. The said ok and handed me my key with a charge for $45. Seems like a good money maker without doing anything. Wish I could give 0 stars Those place that seem to gave good price always get their money somehow. I won't be going back. read more

Thank you, Northfield Tire Pros! I was visiting from out of town and needed to get back on the road the next day. I had a slow leak in one of my back tires, so I decided to replace both rear tires (they were over 4 years old.) Mackenzie ordered the tires first thing this morning and had me back in the shop by the afternoon for installation. I truly wish I could clone this shop and bring it to the Charlotte, NC area, as they've always been nothing but professional, friendly, and honest. My wife found a screw which embedded in her tire - another dealer was insisting it could not be repaired and she needed 2 new tires. took it to Northfield for a second opinion, so glad I did. Another unbelievably kind experience at NT. I had a check engine light on, got it diagnosed at Auto Zone. Took it to NT for the repair. They said they wanted to do their own look-see and it would cost $150. After sulking about it for a day, I came back for the repair. Imagine my shock when the technician told me the light came on solely because of too much time between oil changes, that the "diagnosis" from Auto Zone was inaccurate and I needed zero repairs. And the cherry on the sundae? He waived the look-see fee! Honesty with a capital H. Northfield Tire now has my undivided trust with my vehicle. I needed to have the rear air ride on my 2007 Saab 97x, converted to conventional rear suspension. I mechanic advised me that he did not have the correct equipment, to compress the coil springs, and suggested that I try, Northfield Tire. he also warned me that would try to add services that I did not request. He said they did good work. I went up to Northfield tire and asked them if they could do what needed, and asked the cost. They gave me an computer generated estimate. The estimate also included a wheel alignment that I didn't request. The estimate listed $375.00 for labor, to install the springs and struts. I told the technician hat the wheel alignment wasted need, due to the fact that I already had a contract with, Firestone. He told me that if supplied the parts they would install them. I purchased the conversion kit from ,Amazon, for about 1/4 of what they wanted for Northfield 's parts. When I went up to Northfield to make an appointment, the technician advised me that it would cost more , than quoted. I argued with him, and he agreed to do the work , for the original quote. Later in the day , the technician called me telling me that my car didn't have rear struts, it had shocks. When I asked him about the mistake, he said it was a computer error.I told him his labor estimate was installation of springs and struts If I wanted the shocks installed, it would be an additional $100.00 . When I told him his estimate was for springs and struts, just install the shocks instead. He said he would do it for $75.00. I told him just install the springs I'm pleased with their work, but not with their unethical handling of my repair. read more

UPDATE 12/15/16: Last year I needed new tires. Northfield Tire suggested three different brands, highlighting one of them as the "best for snow." I went with the "snow" recommendation. This morning, I had to drive through one of the worst snow storms in years. Cars all around me were stuck and sliding sideways. I ended up cutting a path through this obstacle course, as I was afraid I would get hit by one of the sliding cars. My trusty tires plowed right through with great traction. THANK YOU Northfield Tire!!! This is a great place for all-around auto service and tires. The staff is honest, the prices are reasonable, everyone is extremely helpful and very professional. So I usually don't write reviews unless I had a really bad experience so let me just start by saying I had an appointment to get my new tires put on my car at 1:30 PM now they close at 2:00 PM. So a good amount of time to put new tires on my car. I was there until 2:40 PM. I understand that places are busy, but from the time I was in there till the time that I left, 10 customers had come in and gotten work done on their car and left And I know for a fact it does not take that long to put tires on a car. One of the customers even came in to complain about tires they put on their car. So while I'm waiting, there were 4 employees, taking care Of a random dog that was in the office. they were taking it out at least 4 to 5 times throughout the whole time I was there. The customer service was shitty and demeanor was awful and I will never go back there nor would I ever tell someone get any work done there. read more

Thank you Frank! I brought my car in a couple weeks ago to have my new tires checked that were put on by a competitor who also screwed up my oil change (oil filter leaked all over). I was worried tires weren't right as well. Frank was very understanding and fit me in at the last minute. I had the tires checked as well as the oil and they did an alignment which was needed.
