They helped me get set up with a unit at the very end of their night, which meant the world to me as I was moving.

There are elevators on site and carts to move your items in and out of the units with ease. I recommend purchasing a lock on site. It is easier with this lock than a normal padlock. There are four sizes of the rooms. The largest is a large 10x15. I find getting the largest unit was better and few dollars more for the unit value. The next is 10x10. They have two smaller units. When you select a unit, be to remember your access code. You are going to need it to where the units are and to ride the elevators. Be sure to return any cats you use, it's a good sign of proper use in a storage facility. The two top mangers Paula and Howard are super nice along with the rest of the staff. You have a three day grace period to pay your dues before a late charge is applied. To prevent late charges, they accept auto pay. The units are open 9:00am to 9:00 pm Monday -Sunday. The staff is on duty from 9am-6pm. Be sure to be out by 9:00 or you will get locked in. They also have boxes and pack stuff in the office.

There has been a known rodent problem since September that management has failed to properly address or communicate to tenants. Several of my belongings were damaged, and others exposed to mice excrement as pictured. The only response from management has been to place glue traps, which do nothing to resolve the larger issue. When I requested to move units because of the infestation, I was initially offered a new one at a higher rate, which I found shocking and poor customer service, and then moved to another unit on the same floor--only to find that one quickly infested as well. Despite acknowledging the rodent issue, management offered no meaningful assistance or compensation beyond insurance that didn't cover the extent of the damage. This experience was extremely disappointing. Avoid storing your items here, and if you are currently stored on the 3rd floor, I would strongly suggest checking your items for signs of rodents.

My experience with Public Storage in Austin has been unbelievably frustrating…read more I rented a unit approximately 24 hours before my scheduled move-in. The manager called me personally, confirmed the rental, provided my access codes, and gave me my unit number. Everything appeared to be ready. When I arrived with my movers, I discovered I could not access my unit because the elevator access had been programmed for the wrong floor. This should have been a simple issue to correct. Unfortunately, there was no one on-site to help. I called the Public Storage customer service number repeatedly--at least 5 to 7 times--and left multiple urgent requests for a callback. Despite explaining that I had movers on-site and was unable to access the unit I had rented, no one responded. More than 24 hours later, I still had not heard from anyone. As a result, I was unable to move into the unit I had already paid for, while my movers stood idle at approximately $200 per hour. What should have been a routine move-in became an expensive and completely avoidable disaster. The most disappointing part wasn't the original mistake. Mistakes happen. It was the complete lack of support afterward. If someone had simply answered the phone or returned a call, the situation likely could have been resolved quickly. My takeaway is this: Public Storage was extremely responsive when I was renting the unit. Once they had my money and a problem arose, I was effectively on my own. I would strongly caution anyone considering this location to understand that there may be no on-site staff available when you need immediate assistance. If something goes wrong on move-in day, you may find yourself unable to access your unit and unable to reach anyone who can help. That's not a risk I would take again.

Process was easy on the app, but I have an issue with how you charge your customers. Saturday 1/3/26 : I paid $69 for a new unit Sunday 1/4/26 : Moved my stuff from the old unit to the new unit and selected my move out date as Sunday 1/4/26. * Monday 1/5/26 : Public Storage charged me a $177 monthly fee * How can you charge me another month when I moved out of this unit the day prior? * I called customer service and they were horrible. I wanted to change my move out date to the end of the month since you already charged me for the month. Seems fair for a 5 year customer right? If I already paid for the month, I should be able to use ti right? Nope, you won't do it. This means even thought you took my $177 for the month, you can now rent that same unit to another customer and make money that way? If this is the way you treat customers I'll cancel and rent from someone else. What a horrible way to do business and treat your long time loyal customers.
