I have personally stopped at the BevMo here most. Its very nice to walk around in - a very pleasant shopping experience. I can't believe the Golden Corral is still open. I feel like that was a dying thing - all you can eat - and the few that were still open Covid tended to put the last nail in their coffin. Parking lot is huge and there is a large expanse of empty space across the street. Its sort of nice to look at that - undeveloped land. Tracy has it - its soothing to the eyes somehow - getting out of the city where very many people are after more limited resources.

Its been crashed into and falling apart. No care in fixing or making anything look particularly nice. Its a low energy kinda place and very utilitarian. No pizzaz, no glitz, no glamour... The only thing it has going for it is the older trees up front along with a tiny mustache strip lawn that is in good condition. Spots and stains and old bubble gum along the sidewalks. When I look at that I think of Stanley Park in Canada and its perfection. Super clean - no black bubble gum - a park utilized by citizens who respect the ground we walk on and each other. I don't want to make Tracy people out to be a certain way too much. They are hard working and usually have long commutes to the bay. Maybe they choose to live there for better school districts or krime rates and less kriminal activity. Red Maple Village is just over two years old and is the newest business / retail center in the Tracy area. Located on the North East corner of S. Tracy Blvd and Valpico Rd, Red Maple Village host an array of familiar businesses / restaurants like; Starbucks, Wells Fargo and Subway and, some not so familiar places like; Mikasa Japanese Bistro, Raleys Supermarket and My Kids Dentist. Figured it would be fun for the babes to find & buy her own stuff so armed with a fistful of dollars I timed it to arrive an hour before closing because everything she see's she wants. This is a warning for you to not waste your time going on a Saturday when everything is $0.25. The babes insisted on looking in every available bin and ended up with 2 items for $0.50. I found it annoying that they had a store filled with items that were blocked off. Spoke to the one & only staff person at the register and learned those items are for next Tuesday and the few bins up front filled with literally garbage as in open containers of food, empty boxes and used wrapping material was all that was left from the previous Tuesday. After that experience I may try it again on a Tuesday or Wednesday but most of the stuff blocked off didn't look worth a return.

Employees out in other parts of the store... some are smiling some aren't. The ones that have a look on their face like they don't want to be there will put on a fake smile when you ask for help. There are a handful that are always smiling and always ask if they can help you as you walk around and they see you. Pretty well stocked for general items. Seasonal item areas on this visit were empty shelves on aisles as they switch to holiday items from summer outdoor items. Prices are comparable to other craft stores, not always the cheapest. Since all items are price lsticker label tagged, the prices can vary on the same item. So check through the packages or items, there might be a lower price tag. Cashiers need to either memorize what's on sale or check their sales list, so I've noticed i don't always get the sale price. Always check your receipts. Location is convinient for when I'm running errands at the mall, but it's not always my go to craft store. Store is always clean as well as having clean restrooms. You need a pass code to use the bathrooms.
