6/30/26- Employees are a mixed bag. Cashiers are always friendly and smiling, but the manager is always near them by the entrance doors. Employees out in other parts of the store... some are smiling some aren't. The ones that have a look on their face like they don't want to be there will put on a fake smile when you ask for help. There are a handful that are always smiling and always ask if they can help you as you walk around and they see you. Pretty well stocked for general items. Seasonal item areas on this visit were empty shelves on aisles as they switch to holiday items from summer outdoor items. Prices are comparable to other craft stores, not always the cheapest. Since all items are price lsticker label tagged, the prices can vary on the same item. So check through the packages or items, there might be a lower price tag. Cashiers need to either memorize what's on sale or check their sales list, so I've noticed i don't always get the sale price. Always check your receipts. Location is convinient for when I'm running errands at the mall, but it's not always my go to craft store. Store is always clean as well as having clean restrooms. You need a pass code to use the bathrooms. read more

Still so happy that we have a Hobby Lobby in town! This location is always so clean, and well organized. This is my go to place for holiday decor, crafting, and gifts for kiddos. They always have unique creative items and for a good price. The staff is always friendly and smiling, and the bathrooms are clean which is a perk for this mom. Lol PSA Christmas decor is now out, nearly 1/4 of the store is all stocked up and ready for our Christmas pleasure! 50% off too! Great deals. I enjoy Hobby Lobby in Tracy. I went in for some yarn but didn't find what I was looking for so I headed to the beads section. I found what I was looking for and it was even on sale! I love the variety that they offer and more. read more

I was so sad when Hobby Lobby in Dublin closed in January 2024 because of potential development to that shopping center. I had heard that Hobby Lobby opened in Tracy a couple years ago so decided to take a drive to check it out. The store is beautifully stocked with everything from arts and crafts to furniture, indoor and outdoor décor, party supplies, yarn, fabric... just like you would expect from Hobby Lobby. With St. Patrick's Day and Easter just around the corner, they had aisles of holiday themed products. Surprisingly, there weren't but a couple other shoppers on this late Friday morning. I wish they could pack up and move over to the Tri Valley. I absolutely love this store as it is a fun surprise every time I visit. Located in the West Valley Mall next to Target. Very frustrating location. I came in with a return that had some prices removed from items I thought I was keeping. When the cashier helping me didn't see a price tag, she called a front manager over for help. This manager took forever to find the prices of itmes and told me she used google to find prices. To speed it up, I found the prices of my items within seconds. I showed the cashier and the front manager and the front lady challanged me and looked very lost. I am not sure what was so confusing, but she insisted on searching herself for the items. She then continued to challenge me saying that they could be different items or that she doesn't take info from customers. When she finally found one of the items, she said "Ah, you were right ma'am." Yeah no kidding. At this point, I decided I had it and would just keep my items to return at a different location. This is very annoying and not my first encounter with slow paced help at this location. read more

Rude workers working here. If you ain't cut out to answer simple questions because your bringing your personal problems into work and treating customers in a rude way fashion keep ur mouth shut and to yourself. It's not an excuse to treat customers rude because your personal problems. read more

Shop at another Hobby Lobby if you can. Employees are really rude ! I seen something that caught my eye, my husband was tall enough to grab it, an employee came up to me "it's not on sale and you shouldn't grab it, have an employee grab it for you." I apologized and stated I wasn't aware, her response was "there's a sign there you obviously didn't read it" and pointed at the sign. I didn't have my glasses I didn't see the sign and my husband was tall enough to grab it without climbing or anything. Employee could've been polite or speak in a respectful manner ! read more

Aaahh, how fun! I've never been to a Hobby Lobby before and this is like a new awakening I've visited 3 times in the last 10 days. Ha. The store is huge! Obviously, because it takes over the old JCPenney. And wow the amount of all kinds of craft, home and baking supplies is pretty overwhelming (hence the 3 visits!). The Christmas items sold out pretty quick here which was unfortunate.. I guess I need to go straight from Halloween into the good old fashioned 62 days of Christmas. However the Baking supplies is where it's at right now with 50% off of most of the items in store and staff very helpful. read more

The store has a great large selection of everything. But when I went to checkout, I had a ton of things and was just ready to get out of there for a party. The clerk rang me up incorrectly and overcharged me by $140!!!! I didn't realize until i got home hours later. Had to call, get transferred3xs wait for them to check the cameras then drive so the way back to get my money back. They checked each one of my bills when I paid like I was a criminal.. had to wait for the manager to do so... just want a very nice experience checking out. But manager when I came back was pleasant. I've been to many hobby Lobby stores all around. This one is BARE! Like hardly anything on the shelves. I know they are new, but after being open a couple of months now I would expect a little more product on the shelves. Go to the Stockton or Modesto location instead until they can figure out how to properly stock. read more

Worst hobby lobby I've Ever been to! Nothing is organized! Employees are NOT helpful at all! I walked around and did not see any employees for help!! Things are priced wrong! There was a sign that said 50% off on a sign I was going to get...when I went to the register the manager Amy said "it was not on sale but was on sale a few days ago." Then why would you tell me it was on sale a few days ago and still have the sign-up?!?! What's the purpose of that?!?! Amy was Unprofessional! After all that they forget to give me my third bag..I drove 30 minutes home and realized they did not give me my third bag, so I have to drive all the back tomorrow. l rather go to Michaels and Shop Amazon were they are organized and more professional. read more

I was in here last week and noticed 50% off wall Art our daughters boy friend just bought a Jeep and with that in mind I came to buy a few things for his garage. While waiting in line the hostess asked me to go to another line I was Next up so the person that was behind me in the line I was severed next, while the line she changed me to was 3 people deep! Why would she do that? Was I profiled ? Did I not have enough items? Needless to say I handed her my items and left the store! Can't imagine what going on here ? Some Christian values! read more

I haven't been to Hobby Lobby before but I really love this store already! It's spacious, well-organized, and such a convenience to have in Tracy since I hate the sub-par customer service at Walmart and Joann is too far away. I have been here several times and have bought Thanksgiving paper plates and a string of pink LED lights for my daughter's room--and the prices are reasonable. But what I really like is the sewing department! Christina gives excellent customer service: she has helped me several times when I've had questions about what fabrics I should use, how to layer them to make baby blankets, and how to prevent them from separating in the middle (solution: embroidery thread!). She's got a great attitude and I've noticed that she likes to make sure every customer has everything they need to finish their product (she recommended special interfacing fabric for a customer making masks and checked in to make sure she had elastic as well). In these crazy times it's so nice to be able to go into an actual brook and mortar store and have great customer service--so I will definitely be back here for my crafting needs. read more

I should have written this review a while back but barely had the chance to. This is early January... On a Saturday I decided to take a Christmas tree to go get the refund. I parked right in front of the store and requested a basket because I had a tree I wanted to return. After unloading and following through the doors I instantly was told I cannot return my tree. I asked for the manager and a gentleman by the name Orlando approached me. He was very rude to me from the beginning and was not knowledgeable in what he stated to me. He said that "PER corporation" that they couldn't return my tree. I asked why and he gave me so much attitude and said, "it's after Christmas anyway." I asked him for a document stating that I cannot return this tree before my 90-day period, and he simply said he doesn't have one. I asked for the corporation number and his name. (Yes, the box was opened but I had clarified with an employee before my purchase that if I didn't feel comfortable was I able to get a refund) They said yes. (I felt unsure if I wanted the tree in the first place because the base is not super stable). I felt instantly attacked and it took me a moment to unload my Christmas tree I feel like I could have at least been told before I did all the work. I highly suggest retraining this employee in reference to understanding a customer's concern. He was not knowledgeable and couldn't approach me properly. I recommend for special occasions to fully understand the returning policies and/or specifications in regard to any special events to avoid situations as my concerns today. Don't forget the proper documentation to back up the claims. All of this happened on the weekend and Orlando didn't mention the corporate office was closed. So, when I walked out of the store upset and mad, I left a voicemail hoping to get a call back from Corporate but patiently waited until Monday. I DID get a call back right away Monday morning around early lunch time! I want to say that I appreciate the responsive and alertness Suzette had with me. She was kind, understanding, and responsive to my concern. Suzette is a one of a kind and did her very best to satisfy my needs. I appreciate her help. She said she was going to look into my case and follow up with me right away.... AND SHE DID within hours. She was a pleasure to work with and I really am grateful to have had her help because this tree was not a cheap tree, I paid my fair roughly around 300 dollars share she attended me with excellent customer service. (Only reason why this location is getting a 1-star or else I would have given 0). When she called me back, she said I can go to the location where I originally wanted to return my tree and they were aware of me doing so. That I was not going to have any further issues. The very next day, I called the store and asked for Orlando and mentioned I paid cash and I was going to arrive to their location around lunch time so I wouldn't have any issues because I have common curtesy and I understand that sometimes you might not have enough in your "till" to issue a big refund. He said "mmmhm ok" I told him that I just didn't want to have any more problems with my refund. Long story short, I arrived and guess what? I had an issue. The cashier did not have enough money to return my tree and I wasted about 15 minuets when this could have been prevented had Orlando done his job and relayed the message and/or had done something to prevent even more issues. Not to mention I called in advance so I could prevent this situation. Had Orlando (since he is the manager) told his employees that worked the next day aka "communicating" I wouldn't have delt with the same terrible service. When I arrived the cashier said "I don't think I can return your tree." I said "I spoke to your manager and corporate and I got approval" Then they had no idea that it was me. The girl at the register was sweet. The manager that was working that day was "ok." She was unapologetic and she knew who I was but wasn't professional or even looked at me in the eye. Although the cashier did the best that she could Orlando should have mentioned at least my name so the cashiers could have been alert and had enough money to do the refund without wasting my time. As far as service your corporate office knows what they are doing and I want to thank Suzette for being helpful and friendly. read more
