The size of the theater was small, which was a nice thing. We purchased our tickets online and choose the seats we wanted. The snack counter was unrealisticly expensive, so we chose to eat elsewhere after the movie. All in all, the reclining and heated seats were very comfortable. Okay this place is so lovely and there are heated recliner seats with swinging trays for food. The only complaint is today there was not much food (hot dogs) red sauce for the cheese sticks and Coke products. Come on guys, there is a Walmart and HEB close by. Our family of four were visiting for Labor Day weekend and it happened to be national cinema day. We selected Beast to watch and although the movie was meh... the theater and restrooms were clean and well organized. The popcorn and pretzel were fresh and the pickle was cool and crisp. Their nachos were concession style with cheese drizzled over the chips and in the cup on the tray. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable. read more

Avoid the Hot Dogs and Do Not Expect Any Customer Service I really do not want to write a negative review, but today takes the cake, I mean Hot Dog. Part of our order included a Hot Dog. Took one bite and the bottom half of the bun was stale/hard. So here I am with an undercooked hot dog and not very tasty bun. Went back to the counter to get new hot dog bun. Counter staff friendly, but not empowered and cannot help me- No new bun, no new hot dog, no refund. Can I get speak to a manager, please? Shift Manager comes out and says owner forbids any refund or replacement and besides " You took a bite of the hot dog". Good grief. What can I say say besides" OK" and left the hot dog on the counter and returned to the movie. I was flabbergasted, but I do have a choice in where I see my next movie. Northshore does offer 1 free refill on slushies and popcorn which is a safe bet and good deal. If you want to have a decent movie experience, probably better to head over the bridge. read more

Avoided the bad reviews and tried it any away, the staff looked annoyed I was there, no one greeted us or took our tickets, no one gave us the 3d glasses needed for the movie, had to find some in the recycle box, they broke 5 min in. Wow this place has gone downhill. Popcorn stays under the shelves But at least it's was still crunchy. The nachos are a different story. Stale chips and had to ask for extra cheese. This theater is a bad choice. From the bad movie sound and terrible popcorn to the broken video games and horribly rude staff your are quickly reminded why you drive to Corpus to see movies. Update: we gave this theatre one more shot.... Since it was so close. ...And they dropped the ball again. Star Wars skipped right in the middle of the action. .... For two extremely loud and excruciating minutes. I warned an attendant at the counter on the way out so they may try keep it from happening during the next showing. They didn't care one bit. Don't spend money here. This place doesn't let you bring in any kids back pack! the seat fold up so u have to be an adult to sit on them. Now we are waiting for them to reset something so we can see the movie correctly. It was missing the top and bottom part of it. They have 3D movies but never show any in 3D format. If you're lucky enough (1% of the time). To find you're movie in 3D it's always the early show (11ish) and the last showing (9-10 PM). The owner, who I've spoken to many times, is so cheap that he doesn't realize he's losing money because people drive to Corpus just to see their movie in 3D. He charges 25 cents for a trey for your food/drinks. I'd give 4.5 stars if he listened to any feedback. I live 1/2 a mile away and still go to corpus for movies. read more

This theater has gone downhill! I have family that live nearby and when we come and visit during the holidays we sometimes like to catch a flick. But as the years have passed this place has become more and more filthy and smelly. They either need to close down for a few days and bring in some serious steam cleaning machines or just remodel and rip out that nasty and smelling carpet. The seats aren't much better. I will no longer give my money to this dump until they have made some changes. I'll be happy to make the trip into Corpus for a better movie watching experience. read more

I just wanted to say how much my family and I enjoy this movie theater. We love going to a movie here almost every Tuesday, and yes we fight the crowd for the free popcorn. It's all part of the experience for us.. bringing your own bowl etc. there are video games and claw machines to keep you busy before or after your movie. Location is convenient for where I live we go here often. The place is a lot dated seats are not very comfy. They could use some updates to make this place awesome. As far as service prices and food goes they are pretty fair and they even have a free popcorn night when you bring your own bucket which is nice of them to do. This is a great movie place, still affordable. Free popcorn on Tuesdays (byob). My most favorite thing is the assistant manager Bobbi. She is always pleasant and smiling. My son is autistic, and as he had a small breakdown, she was reassuring, patient and kind. As I thanked her she stated she has a nephew who is autistic, and to come to her anytime she is here. I'm so blessed to have shared that moment with her and to know there are people who out there who will go the extra mile. The other staff at times can be rude or short except for a girl who has worked there a while, and an older gentlemen. I feel bad that I do not know there names to show appreciation as well. Just left this place, everything was fine up until I asked to switch my bag of Candies for another one. Not for a refund, but for the same type just another bag. The bag was warm and you could feel the candy was melted inside. The lady at the concession stand wouldn't even feel the bag! She just looked at me with a smirk, and said "they're all the same, they're all from the same drawer." As if I was being some type of rude customer. What a jerk, I wasn't asking for anything over the top, the bag hadn't even been open yet, it's not like I was demanding a refund. Sadly I think she might have been some kind of manager, since she looked older than the rest of the kids there. I've been going to this place for years, but customer service is everything. I won't be back. When you have a good experience, you don't really tell people, but once you've had a bad experience somewhere, you tell just about everyone. Or at least I will. read more

We got the movies at least once a week, sometimes twice. We love going to the movies. This is our local theatre and have never had much of an issue up until the last few times we went. It's been hot every time. The sound is awful, and the consession stand employees are terrible. If my family of 4 are willing to pay 20-30 bucks in junk food the least your employees can do is not throw the food at us. Perhaps even a smile or a thank you. That might be asking too much. Sunday was the last time we'll go there for a while. I'll drive the extra 15 minutes to go to corpus and have a much better experience. read more

My biggest complaint is that they refused to let out group finish movie that they started late due to power outages. We dealt with dirty carpets, smelly theater and multiple power outages. But then we're told to leave or restart movie because the next time was too close. I asked for my money back. A two hour movie and 2 hours and 45 minutes later still don't get to see the end. Poor service and management. The woman who physically opens up the cinema is quite rude and short towards guests and always acts inconvenienced if you approach her. Weekend "manager" refused to let her bring in her baby diaper bag even though their posted signs says you can bring in diaper bags but they may be inspect. Daughters diaper bag was popular Skip*Hop back pack style diaper bag. The "manager" told her she could not bring it in because it was a back pack. Daughter told her to inspect bag and she would see it was a diaper bag. Employee refused to inspect, said that it had to look like bags in their poster and then told her that she could leave if she didn't like it. Went to the new Star Trek movie yesterday. Lots of people with younger kids in there. They played a trailer for the upcoming Anchorman movie in which grown men stand there and several times mentioning "creaming your jeans". Attempts to contact the theater didn't work since there was no manager there and the only phone is an info line. Also their "comments" page on the website doesn't work. I don't consider myself to be a prude or anything, but I find trailers with subject material like that to be highly inappropriate for audiences with kids. I am glad I didn't take my grandkids since I would not have wanted to have had to explain what that meant to a couple of 7 or 8 year olds. Granted, a lot of movies coming out of Hollywood now are either trash or porn but trailers shown in movies for general audiences need to be screened for material like this.
